    Overview

Long before her execution at the hands of Heinrich Hofmann, Gretchen, like many of her witch sisters, was dedicated to helping humanity through her magic. However, following the arrival of the plague, she and her sisters are accused of bringing it about and are executed at the behest of a man named Dr. Faust. At her execution, Gretchen curses her executioner, Heinrich, with immortality for his attempt to spare her and so he might atone for his actions.

One hundred years later, Gretchen is reincarnated to see her former sisters taking revenge upon humanity. In order to put a stop to this, and the malevolent machinations of Dr. Faust, she recruits her now immortal executioner to help her. In doing so she promises to lift the curse upon him should they succeed.

As a witch, Gretchen has access to a number of powers and uses them in conjunction with Heinrich's physical abilities to defeat Dr. Faust's monsters and her own, now evil, witch sisters. She is voiced by Laura Bailey.
