List of Achievements

Like any other arcade game, Duke Nukem 3D offers 12 achievements with a total worth of 200 points.
The game let's you track your progress of the achievements in the Stats menu.

When gaining Gamerscore, you will unlock a total of 22 pictures in the the Gallery menu. The first 20 pictures consist of original concept art from Duke Nukem 3D, while the last 2 are unique screenshots from the long-awaited Duke Nukem Forever. Being a huge fan of the Duke Nukem franchise, I found these pictures very interesting, and I was thrilled by the Duke Nukem Forever screenshots to say at least.

Piece of Cake: 25 points

Complete "L.A. Meltdown" on any difficulty or in co-op.
Simply complete the first episode. If you're having problems with a map, check out the replays of other players to see how they did it.
The official walkthrough is also a great help.

Let's Rock: 25 points

Complete "Lunar Apocalypse" on any difficulty or in co-op.
Simply complete the second episode. If you're having problems with a map, check out the replays of other players to see how they did it.
The official walkthrough is also a great help.

Come Get Some: 25 points

Complete "Shrapnel City" on any difficulty or in co-op.
Simply complete the third episode. If you're having problems with a map, check out the replays of other players to see how they did it.
The official walkthrough is also a great help.

Game Over: 25 points

Complete "The Birth" on any difficulty or in co-op.
Simply complete the first episode. If you're having problems with a map, check out the replays of other players to see how they did it.
The official walkthrough is also a great help.

Duke's Mighty Foot: 10 points

Step on 40 enemies after using the Shrinker on them.
You will most likely get this achievement while completing the game. If not, go repick some of your favorite maps and focus on killing as many enemies as possible with the shrinker. Be sure to choose one of the later levels where the shrinker is present.
I ended up with over 150 shrinker kills when I completed the game, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Looks Like Cleanup on Aisle 4: 10 points

Step in a pile of excrement.
Look for excrement near Enforcers (check the Duke Nukem 3D wiki on GiantBomb for more info). You will most likely get this achievement while completing the game. If not, go to the dog kennel on the map "Duke Burger" in episode 4.

Shake It Baby: 10 points

Tip an exotic dancer.
Simply walk up to a woman and press "use" (the X-button) . The description is a bit misleading though, since it doesn't *have* to be an exotic dancer. Duke is able to tip any women he encounters thoughout the game. If you can't find any, I recommend the stripbar on the map "Red Light District" in episode 1.

Oomph, Uugh, Where is it?: 10 points

Find 70 secret areas.
The levels in Duke Nukem 3D contains a lot of secret areas -- many more than 70, so you don't have to find them all. A trick is to try and "use" (press the X button) on every wall/poster that looks odd, and certain electronics like computers and switches. If you're having a hard time getting this achievement, check the official walkthrough.

Alien Maggots are Gonna Pay: 10 points

Finish the "Hollywood Holocaust" level in under 3 minutes.
This is a lot easier than it sounds. The trick is to get to the engineer room as fast as possible, start the film, blow a hole in the screen, grab the jetpack and head straight to the finish. If you're unsure of how to do this, check some of the speedrun demos of the map. You can find them in the Leaderboards menu.

Gonna Rip Em' a New One: 10 points

Get 100 total kills in ranked Dukematch games (Online).
There's no trick for these last ones. You simply have to play the online multiplayer long enough to reach the amount needed. Since it has to be in ranked matches, it's hard to "boost" the achievements with a friend. Best advice is to play a lot of games and enjoy the fun.

Weapons:
The pistol is actually a great weapon, since its auto-aim is extreme. It's often better than a Shotgun or a Ripper, depending on the distance and the lag of the host. Laser Trip Mines are great for killing as well, since they almost guarentee a kill once placed on a wall. The best spots to place them is around corners and in tight areas, where unsuspecting player will meet their doom. If you know some of the spawn locations on a map, place a Laser Trip Mine there. It's a dirty trick, but it works.

Maps:
After playing a lot of ranked Duke Matches, it has come to my knowledge that it often chooses Stadium and L.A. Rumble as the map.
In Stadium, I found the best tactic was to quickly get to the border of the map and just spray the weapons in the direction of the players -- using the auto-aim to your advantage.
In L.A. Rumble, I rushed to get the Jetpack in the small building down the alley. Once equipped, quickly ascend to the top to grab the RPG and start the mayhem. In the office building across the street, you'll find more RPG ammo and a new Jetpack -- giving you nearly endless supply of Jetpack fuel and RPG ammo.

NEW:
It has been discovered that suicides actually counts towards these achievement. So if you hate the multiplayer, but still want the achievement - remember to kill yourself everytime you find something explosive!

See You in Hell: 15 points

Get 250 total kills in ranked Dukematch games (Online).
See above.

Hail to the King, Baby: 25 points

Earn respect and get 500 total kills in ranked Dukematch games (Online).
