Prologue

WHOOSH!
WHOOSH!
The Kashyyyk prolougue has you playing as Darth Vader, hunting down Kento Marek, a rogue Jedi in hiding on Kashyyyk. This abilitease style segment will get you attached to the concepts and gameplay you'll be enjoying for the rest of the game. As you take control of Vader, amidst a massive Imperial invasion of the planet, your objective is simple as possible: just keep moving forward. As Vader here, you'll have to chance to grab two easy achievements if you're playing the 360 version. The first, "Worst Day Shift Manager Ever", simply has you killing twelve friendly Stormtroopers as Vader. Just toss any Stormtrooper you run across, as you won't be needing their help, seeing as you cannot die.

If you just stay here Wookiees will keep rushing you
If you just stay here Wookiees will keep rushing you
The other achievement, "Bossk" is much more time-consuming, requiring you to kill 200 Wookiees, which is way more than you will run across in a normal run of the level. If you want the points, there is a spot where the game will spawn infinite Wookiees and you can just stand there killing them until you get the achievement. Simply progress through the level as normal, until you reach an area where a TIE fighter crashes into a bridge. Move onto the remaining, undestroyed bridge and stand in the middle. Wipe out the Wookiees on it, but stay on that bridge. More and more Wookiees will simly come rushing at you. Slaughter them for as long as you want, and collect your achievement.

After you have enough of murdering infinite Wookiees, move forward along the next two bridges. This should deliver you to Kento's house, and you will be faced with a brief boss fight. You cannot die, so don't worry about health in this fight. Simply batter away the rogue Jedi's health until the QTE triggers. After the QTE, you'll be treated to a short cinematic, and introduced to Starkiller, your avatar for the rest of the game.

Vader Moveset

Darth Vader has a unique moveset from Starkiller, although the controls are quite similar. Vader cannot double-jump or run, and he cannot use Force Lightning. Instead, pressing Y (on 360) or Triangle (On PS3), will use Force Choke. Force Choke is a pretty fun move, but you will never get it as Starkiller, so use it here if you want.

Welcome to a day in the life of Starkiller. After being treated to some great cinematics, you've now met Juno, PROXY, and Kota (You probably shouldn't click those links unless you want spoilers). Juno has dropped you off, and it's time to hunt some Jedi. Just be aware... compared to Vader, Starkiller's kinda a pussy. He's going to have two powers, grip and push, both at level one, and your saber combos are also going to be severely limited. Also, he has less health, less Force energy, and he can't deflect blasters for shit. LUCKILY, you'll be upgrading all those abilities over the course of the game, so by the end of it, Starkiller will be every bit as powerful as you were as Vader.

This would be you
This would be you
Juno will drop you off inside a relatively safe area, and you can get a feel for how Starkiller controls in here. Slice up the droids, asthey'll give you progress towards an achievement on the 360 (PROXY Won't Be Happy- Destroy 35 droids). Follow the corridors until you encounter a door. Use your force push on this door to blast a hole through it. You'll see two Stormtroopers in front of you who are easily dispatched with a Force Push. Walk down the walkway and pick up the Sith Holocron, then jump down off the walkway. Just run around spamming Force push on the Rebel scum, then turn to the Stormtroopers. When your UNLIMITED POWER!!! runs out, grab and toss the Stormtroopers, as that kills them quicker generally. A few more waves of Stormtroopers will come up the center lift, just hack away on them. After 3 or 4 waves no more will come. Approach the big black door and use Force Grip to manipulate the locks.

Head on through, Force Push open the next set of doors, and wipe out the meager Rebel resistance. When you encounter Rebels and Stormtroopers fighting, the Rebels are the superior threat. Fight on through until you run into the area where the TIE's are strafing. Fight your way to the center structure, then take the lift up to the second level. This lift is a bit glitch sometimes, so you'll have to leave it before you can use Force Push on the dudes in the room.

Exit the center structure and work your way to the broken bridge. Jump across, and work your way back along the other wall. There will be some TIE's harassing you here, but just ignore them. Work your way to the end, then turn right. Follow the hallways, and you'll find yourself in a Rebel-held control room. As you set about killing the Rebel, a contingent of Stormtroopers will come in via the same entrance you just used. Wipe them out, then exit via the other door. You'll see a short cutscene and meet your first repeater trooper, who has more health and a stronger weapon than the normal guy. Run down the hallway and blow out the window behind the soldiers with a Force push. It should suck all of them out into the vaccuum; if it doesn't, your saber makes quick work of them.

When you enter the next room a laser field will pop up. Grab the rebels and toss them into the shield, which instantly incinerates them. When they're all dead, look around for a large block sticking out of the wall. Grab it with Force grip and pull it out of the wall, which should deactivate the laser fence and clear your way. Zip on through the halls to another command center. Kill everyone in there, then go on to a room with three windows. Blow out the windows and kill anyone left. Move on until you find yourself in a room with a door you cannot reach> Look to the left, and pull out that long glowing blue box thing. Jump up on that, then look up to the opening. Pull that sheet of metal down and jump up onto it, then into the access hatch. Follow the hatch, drop down the opening, blow out the door and get ready to take on your first mini-boss.

This mini-boss can be very easy or very annoying depending on how everything plays out around you. You can take a lot of damage from surrounding enemies while trying to fight against the deadly AT-KT (which apparently is an AT-ST wielding a Gravity Gun) which makes it smart to allow the soldiers already in the room soften him up a bit. He's not particularly difficult, but at least it will allow him to kill most of the militiamen for you. Once enough of the militiamen are dead to not pose any kind of considerable threat (you don't want to kill every single one yet, as you can get health for killing remaining guys if you are about to die during the battle), you can prepare to attack the AT-KT. It's difficult to dodge his 'throw shit at you' attack, as it's executed with pinpoint accuracy, but just try to pick some objects up, electrocute them and toss them at him before he can get a shot off. This does a significant amount of damage and should suffice for the entire fight, which should be fairly brief. After an awesome quicktime event, mop up the rest of the militiamen and prepare to move on.

Once everyone in that room is dead, jump onto the TIE wing lift and ride it to the second floor. Your first target is going to be the two turrets on the center bridge, as they're a serious threat. Jump off the wing, ignore all other enemies, and run to that center bridge and kill the turrets. After this you can mop up, then head on through the exit near the big glass window.

Follow the path and you'll find yourself in a hallway with a couple Stormtroopers and an Imperial officer. they all go down quick, so take them out and move on. In the next room you'll see a broken wing assembly, and a skirmish between IMperial and Rebel force (Well, only rebels if you take too long, they often wipe out the Imperials before you get there). Kill everyone then head left through the hallway, and you'll run into a large fight between the two factions at the base of a lift. spam Force Push when you enter the room and you should wipe out a lot of the enemies here, as you'll set off a chain reaction. Take the rest out with your saber or Force grip, then head up the lift.

Go left after the lift stops, down the hallway and through the door. You'll find yourself in a long hallway where TIE cockpits are being assembled. The best thing to do here is grab the exploding barrels by the entrance and throw them at the troopers from a safe position, then move down the hall. Keep gooing until a laser shield pops up, blocking your path. Walk up close to it, the turn left and go up the ramp. There will be pretty strong opposition here, but you can kill the guys in one hit by throwing them into the laser shield. You'll see a second laser shield at the top of the ramp, as well as more troopers. Toss the troopers into the shield, then grab the generator with Force Grip, which will disbale both shields, allowing you to move on.

The next area is the same as the first, except there are many more troopers on the top walkways who will be shooting at you. Jump up there with a double jump, and murder those troopers with your saber, then head down to the big door at the end of the hallway. This door leads to a lift, which Juno will inform you leads to Kota. Head up the lift, enjoy the view, and get ready to face your first Jedi Master.

Rahm Kota

Vader sends a boy?
Vader sends a boy?
Kota is a bit of a pushover really, just keep hammering away on him with your saber. He will be resistant to your Force powers, as will all bosses, so generally sticking with your saber and throwing in an occasional Force power is the way to go. Just whale away on him until you can trigger the QTE. He does have two attacks you might want to watch out for, one where he throws his saber up in the air and slams back down to the ground for an area attack, and one where he jumps up on the high ground and throws stuff at you. The area attack can be avoid just by jumping, and to avoid it when he throws stuff at you, just go hide right up against the wall of the platform he's standing on. He will be unable to hit you. Be aware that after both of these attacks, Kota is vulnerable to your Force powers, so this is a great time to knock him down with a push. The QTE to finish off Kota is X, X, A, B on 360 and Square, Square, X, Circle on PS3.

Since Kota has no specific strategy, we'll use this space to go over some general boss strategies.
  • Dashing attacks work well. Bosses seem to find it hard to defend against a dashing slash (dash+saber attack), and it often opens them up for a further combo.
  • Launch them when possible. Using your aerial ambush combos (You have to unlock them) is a good strategy for bosses. Even if they block all of your saber attacks, often they willl still be launched, allowing you to get a good aerial combo in
  • Impale, impale, imaple. This is gonna be your bread and butter during boss fights, the impale move. To execute, you'll need to be standing over an enemy you have knocked down. Just stand still, then press the attack button. Starkiller should stab the prone enemy for massive damage. Repeat this as much as possble before your boss stands up.
  • The Aerial Strike combo (hold lock on, jump, press dash) [Needs to be purchased] is very effective against most bosses, especially when linked up with a saber throw (learned on Bespin). They rarely defend against this attack, and it often allows you to follow it up with a strong combo.

Holocrons

  1. As you enter the hangar, there is a holocron on the walkway opposite the one you come in on (Past the crashed shuttle) that grants you 10,000 Force Points
  2. Jump up on the crashed shuttle, double-jump onto the top fin, you should see  walkway a bit above you. Double jump then dash to land on the walkway, and grab the Holocron which contains a Yellow Lightsaber Crystal.
  3. Open the hangar door and continue on, you'll reach an area with a door directly ahead of you and a door on you right that can both be Force pushed open. Push open the one on the right and claim your holocron for 10,000 Force Points
  4. Figh through the area where the TIE's are attacking you, but instead of going up the lift go out the second door in that room. You'll have to blow away a few crates with push before you can claim your Holocron (It holds a Force Talent sphere)
  5. Go up the elevator, clear out the room, push open the door on the right. Head left outside, and the Holocron is hidden behind some crates. Push the crates away to claim your Force Combo sphere
  6. Move forward along the usual level path until you have to ump across a gap in the broken bridge. On the right are some small alcoves. In the second or third one along there is a holocron granting you 10,000 Force Points
  7. After beating the AT-CT, ride the TIE-Wing lift up to the third floor on the right side, and you'll see a holocron directly in front of you. It contains 10,000 FP
  8. Jump across from Holocron 7 to grab holocron 8, which also contains 10,000 Force Points
  9. As you move through the level, you'll come to another area with the wing lifts, but these are broken. You'll need to grab a TIE wing and put it into one of the slots to reach the first holocron floating in the wing assembly. This one gives you yet more Force Points. 10,000, to be exact.
  10. To reach the second holocron in the wing assembly you can either attempt to slot in another wing up higher to get to the walkway with the second holocron on it, or you can double-jump around on the wings already in the assembly to reach the top walkway. This Holocron grants you a Rubat Power Crystal.
  11. You'll keep moving, until you enter a room where you see some TIE cockpits, and some welding lasers. Head to the ground floor, and on the left hand side there is a small room which holds a 10,000 FP holocron
  12. As you continue down the assembly room, you'll run into a force-field you can't pass. Turn left up the ramp and kill all the rebels. Pull out the Force-field generator, and there is a holocron in the middle of the four green pillars on the right? t's in the middle of one of those two sets of pillars. It has 10,000 Force Points
  13. If you're facing where the force-feld generator used to be, head left into the small room up there to grab a holocron holding a Force Power Sphere (Score!)
  14. Head into the next room, and there's a holocron in one of the alcoves on the right this time which grants you 10,000 FP.
  15. At the end of the room, before you go up the ramp and through the door, there is a holocron to the right containing 10,000 Force Points.

Easter Egg

Fairly early in the TIE Fighter Construction Facility stage, Starkiller will blast open a door to a very open room sporting a bottomless pit and long hallways hugging the walls. This part occurs directly after being contacted by Juno with a warning that the Imperials sent a TIE Fighter squadron to his sector. When entering this section, try not to blow any of the crates (which are precariously perched right next to a ledge of doom - not a very efficient storage solution) off the edge of the platform you're on when fighting the few militiamen who show up to greet you. This will make stacking crates much easier, as you won't have to painstakingly backtrack each crate from far away for the job at hand. Once all the militiamen are dealt with, locate the section of this hallway at the farthest point from where you entered where there is an overhanging structure. It's just a little bit past the broken bridge you must jump over to face the next wave of enemies.

Once you are there, Force Grip at least 4 of the long, non-explosive crates and stack them on top of each other right in front of the left corner of this structure. You'll be wanting to jump up from your crates onto the roof of this overhang, so stack accordingly. Make sure that you consider these things when stacking:
  • Get the crate you're Force Gripping as close to the ground (or crate it's going to be stacked on top of) as possible - you don't want it to fall from high up and knock over your pile.
  • When you are satisfied with the position of your crate, don't let go of R or R2 yet!  First take your thumbs off the analog sticks. This is crucial because if the sticks are facing in any direction when you let go of R or R2 Starkiller will fling it away and you'll probably lose that crate. It seems unneccessary to have to actually let go of the sticks, but your brain may trick you into thinking your fingers aren't tilting the sticks when they actually are (trust me, it happens and it's really frustrating when it does).

Once your stack consists of 4 or more crates, you are ready to jump on them. This can be trickier than it seems however, as Starkiller's double jump blows wind in all directions and that can knock over your stack. Try to do a running double jump from far away instead of from right in front of your stack for this purpose. It may be trickier to land on it, but it's worth it. Then from there, double jump onto the roof of the structure. Go as far down and to the right as possible (there's an invisible wall so you can't pass the easter egg) and you will see a Clone Commando helmet. It's Delta 1138's helmet from Star Wars Republic Commando to be exact! It seems that someone on the Force Unleashed team had an appreciation for that criminaly underrated first-person shooter!

Here's a video demonstration of the end result (Credit to SpikeDelight for this great section):

Raxus Prime. Yay, I guess. Actually no yay. This level kinda sucks :( However, you do get Force Lightning here, which will help you out A LOT through the rest of the game. We'll be brief here, cause I hate this level, and those other slackers won't do it for me.

Move forward, go through the quick cutscene, and shoot lightning at the engine in front of you. Drop down again after sending that engine flying, then head left to the edge of the lava. Target the platform and lift it out of the sludge, then use it to jump across the chasm. Hit the skiff with Lightning, and the whole thing will explode, killing all aboard. Head right, and look for another sparking engine> Use lightning on it, then drop down again, where you will have to face another skiff. Head right and lift the platform there, then jump to the next one. Lift the next platform up, jump onto it, the use Force Push to bend the girders down, then jump over it. Grab the invincibilty holocron, jump up onto the next embankment, and kill the enemies there. Head left, and go through the hole blown in the wall.

You'll find some jawas here. Use Sith Punt (A+X on 360) to kill them hilariously and efficiently. Jump your way through this engine, and exit out the giant hole in the wall higher up. you'll find two Rodain Rippers in the next corridor, which are easily dispatched with a Force Push. After you kill those guys, head to the end of the corridor and blast your way out of the hallway or whatever. Kill everyone in the next area, and move on to the edge of the lava. You'll see three giant glowing blue things, bend these down to cover the path from the falling molten steel or whatever. Walk along the path under the molten steel, then turn left and you'll see a battle between Rodians and Junk droids.

Your best bet against the droids is Lightning-based attacks. Force Lightning, and if you have the spheres to buy them the Sith Saber Smash and Sith Strike saber combos, which allow you to infuse your saber combo with lightning. The easiest way to get through this fight is to simply stand by the edge of the cliff where the Rodian skiffs keep coming in, and just throw people off. Be sure not to stand too close to the edge however, as the game has an annoying hait of sliding you off ledges that lead to your death. Whenever a new skiff comes flying in, target it and shoot lightning, which will blow it up.After you've eliminated all the enemies, move to the giant glowing blue slab and use Force Grip to lift it out of the ground as high as it can go. Jump up on top of the slab, then do a double jump+ midair dash across to land on the little platform by the big dome. Shoot lightning at the dome to bust it open, then drop down. Kill the few Rodians in here, then drop out the hole in the bottom.

You'll be in another area with droids and Rodians fighting. Once again, go to the edge of the abyss and throw people off, while making sure to use Lightning-based attacks on the droids if you don't want to be cheap and just toss them off the edge. Once everyone is dead, head to the yellow dot on your map, near the Blockade Runner. Blow an entrance with Force Push, and head through the Blockade Runner, which is lovingly modelled after the area seen a New Hope where Leia is captured by the Stormtroopers. It's full of Jawas, so no real challenge here. Go on through until your path is blocked by a closed door. Jump up and over the door (which has a holocron behind it, see below for full guide), and go forward a bit to trigger a loading screen.

You should be here
You should be here
Blow out the glass and you'll come to an area with some homemade walkways across a chasm. The obvious way to kill the enemies on these walkways is to throw or push them to their doom. After crossing the walkways, you'll still have some Rodian scum left to deal with, but they pose little challenge. Kill them however you like, then go stand in front of the giant blue glowing door. Giant blue glowing objects mean you have to use a Force Power on them, if you hadn't figured that incredibly obvious clue out yet. Grip the gate and pull it open, which, despite LucasArt's touted Digital Molecular Matter, often glitches out like crazy and looks not at all realistic.

Anyways, move forward through the gate that just opened, and you'll be shown a short cutscene detailing the scavenger camp. Your path is blocked by the laser shield, so you'll need to disable that. But first, you may as well go berserk on the scavengers here. Grab a piece of junk out of the magnetic lane (The stuff floating through the sky), and throw it at the giant structure in the center, which will collapse on the heads of the guys there. There is a Sith Holocron that increases damage in the center of the structure, so grab that and start slicing.

After everyone is dead, head down the small lift surrounded by some barriers and enemies. Exit the area at the bottom of the lift, and you'll see an electrical apparatus on the center platform, as well as some Rodians and Jawas. Walk up the ramp to the device, and you'll see a piece in front of you that appears to be on a sliding track. Grab it with Force Grip, and slide it all the way left. This will deactivate the large laser shield you saw before, so head back up the lift and through the huge opening. As you advace, you'll be forced to sit through another cinematic showcasing the enviroment. After that, you will immediately be faced with a few small droids howevering in front of you. These guys will drain your Force energy, so it is vital to kill them as quickly as possible, or they will drain all your power. After you kill them, drop down and head left, heading towards the glowing blue object.

You'll be faced by some Scrap Guardians and Scrap drones on the short path to the glowing blue engine, but they are simple to dispatch, and, as always, weak to lightning. After killing the droids, target the engine and use lightning on it, which should turn it on and make it start spewing fire onto the large piece of metal stuck to it. Turn around and head back the other way, which will trigger the appearance of a Junk Titan, a miniboss.

The Junk Titan is actually a fairly easy foe, especially if you have upgraded your Lightning power to level 2 or 3. Shoot it with lightning (sustain your lightning until you are out of Force if you have it upgraded)), then jump, do a midair dash to reach the Titan, then hit it twice with your lightsaber, then jump away> Don't stay in close combat with the Titan for too long, as it has a variety of attacks that will knock you off of it, including it's own powerful Force Repulse, which you cannot defend against. If you do go in to use your saber, do it quickly and get out before the Titan can counter. Knock it down to  a quarter health then activate the QTE to finish it off.

Jump up onto the ledge opposite the starship engine (There should be a holocron here if you didn't already grab it). A few Scrap Guardians will appear, but they are easily dispatcher. Move up past the Sith Holocron, so you are opposite the flaming engine, and gip the larger piece of glowing blue metal. Hold grip for a few seconds, and a cutscene of Starkiller making a bridge will trigger. Jump down onto your newly formed bridge and go forward.

Just follow the path from here and you'll find a bunch of droids to kill. Keep going forward till you encounter a chasm you cannot cross. On the right side you'll see a bent up object glowing blue. Gip it and bend it down to make a bridge. Jump onto your object, then jump off it to cross the gap. Turn right where the path does so, and a bunch of scrap droids will appear at once. Take out the small, floating, scrap drones first, as they will drain your Force, then turn your attention to the bigger guys, usng Lightning and your saber. Follow the path until it drops, and you'll find another Junk Titan. Kill it same as you did the first, then Force Push through the glowing door to enter the final area. This room has no enemies, but it has three holocrons to collect (see below). Grab them, then head up the lift to fight Kazadan Paratus.

Kazadan Paratus

This guy is a BITCH
This guy is a BITCH
Jesus Christ you will hate this guy. Kazadan Paratus has no obvious weakness, no magic bullet, and his attacks are incredibly damaging and hard to block. There are two essential combos you will need for this fight, the lightning saber combos: Sith Saber Smash and Sith Slash, which will cost you five combo spheres. Lightning is as much of a weakness as Paratus has, even though it isn't much of one, so spamming these combos will be essential for surviving this fight.

The key is to block at any moment you aren't attacking, and whenever you're attacking either be using Force Lightning of a lightning-infused saber combo.

Holocrons

  1. After dropping down and zapping the drive core, turn left and you'll see a holocron across a pool of radioactive muck. Lift up the platform a bit, jump on it, and jump over to the holocron. 10,000 Force Points
  2. After entering the drive core, work your way up. You'll need to jump onto a platform in the middle of this room, then jump up to the holocron which gives you a Force Power Sphere.
  3. Once you reach the crashed starship, you'll see a holocron on our left (before you drop off the ledge). This grants 10,000 FP
  4. In this same area, you'll see a large circular door which is just begging you to Force Push it. It's brownish with a crack down the middle. Blow it awa with Force Push and walk in to claim your holocron. It contains a Compressed Red Lightsaber Crystal.
  5. Head through the crashed ship, and you'll come to an outside area. Juno will say something about a radioactive river or somesuch. The holocron is directly across from where you entered the area, in the far right corner against that big river of plasma. Watch out, if you fall off that ledge you'll automatically die. 10,000 Force Points
  6. Work your way through the blockade runner, until you reach an area where you're supposed to jump up to get to a second level. There should be a little door directly in front of you. Push this open, and grab the holocron for 10,000 FP
  7. Cross those odd junk catwalks and open the huge doors. After going through, on your right near the area where the floating junk is coming out of the wall is a holocron containing a Force Combo sphere.
  8. If you look around in this area, you'll see a long catwalk that leads kinda off a cliff to nowhere. Get on this and walk down to the end to claim a holocron with a Gold Lightsaber Crystal.
  9. Go down the lift from the previous area and turn right immediately. Jump up on the platforms to get a holocron containing a Compressed Yellow Lightsaber Crystal.
  10. In the same area, walk down below the electrical generator. There is a holocron hidden below that platform containing a Force Talent Sphere
  11. Enter the next area, which has a giant starship engine which you'll need to mess with, drop down, then jump up on a ledge to your right to claim a holocron with 10,000 Force Points
  12. After that area where you have to bend down the metal platforms to make bridges, the path turns to the right. Look straight ahead instead of to the right, and there are some metal girders blocking your path. Push them out of the way, pull down the metal platforms you see, and jump across to get the Holocron, which contains the Sith Robe costume. If you want to equip the costume, MANUALLY SAVE YOUR GAME FIRST. If you equip a costume it automatically reverts you to our last checkpoint, and if you equip this costume without saving, it will pop you back to your last checkpoint with the costume but without the Holocron.
  13. After beating your second Junk Titan, push open the doors. Immediately on your left is a Holocron with 10,000 Force Points
  14. You'll notice some walkways above you. Jump on a piece of junk lying on the ground here, then double-ump up to the second level. There is a holocron here which contains 10,000 Force Pooints
  15. There is also a Holocron floating in mid-air here that you can jump to which holds a Firkrann Power Crystal.

Felucia, home of Jedi Master Shaak Ti, is your next destination. You'll start off amongst some cool looking fungus things. Just move forward until Juno gives you a notice about natives. When the first group attacks, go ahead and try out your new Force Repulse power. It's pretty fun. After you kill the first group of crazy frog-men, a cutscene will trigger showing more crazty frog-men climbing down a tree. Felucians are vulnerable to all of your Force Powers, but they will sometimes parry saber strikes (And later, you'll even run across saber-immune Felucians), so it is generally useful to stick with the Force for these guys.

Keep going forward until you enter the crazy-looking cave. Walk around the perimeter, until a path crossing the cavern becomes accessible, and walk across it. Whenever Felucians threaten you, kill them with a repulse or toss them off the edge with grip or push. Once you exit the cave, you'll run across your first Felucian Shaman. These are the RED crazy frog-men, who can make all their followers immune to Lightsabers via some crazy space-voodoo. You'll know an enemy is saber-immune if he has an obvious red glow about him. Force Powers are still 100% viable, but your saber will do no damage whatsoever. Your strategy should be to head straight for the shaman, who will try to teleport away if you get too close. The way to avoid this is either to use a ranged attack like Lightning, or use a dashing slice and hit him before he teleports. The shaman himself is vulnerable to your saber, and once he's dead his protection will vanish from all his cronies.

Fight your way through the passages, and Juno (or PROXY) will inform you that you're approaching the site of a major conflict from the Clone Wars. There are a couple Yellow crazy frog-men here who are beefed up Felucian Shaman's with better attacks. Grab them and throw them off the convientently placed edge, then drop down the ledge and get ready to face your first rancor.

Rancors

Okay, so you've encountered your first Rancor. Here is a field guide on what to do.

HE'S DOING IT RIGHT!
HE'S DOING IT RIGHT!
  1. Aim at Rancor
  2. Jump up into air (Optional)
  3. Fry Rancor with lightning
  4. Look Bad-ass
  5. Rinse and repeat
  6. Trigger QTE (X, Y, X, B, X OR Y)
  7. ???
  8. PROFIT!
Now that's all fun and games, but you say there's an area with THREE Rancors and a ton of Felucians in this level?!?! What a sadistic design decision. Anyways, We'll walk you through this. The key is to isolate the rancors and take them on one at a time. If you ever get two, or god help you, three rancors going after you at the same time, you are pretty screwed. There are a bunch of raised platforms around this area (with holocrons on several of them, see below). Jump up on these platform, and fry the Rancor with lighting from the high ground. The Rancor won't attack you while you do it. It'll just let you fry it with lightning until it dies or you can trigger the QTE. Isolate each rancor and wipe them out individually, collect your holocrons (There are four in this area), then move on to see Shaak Ti at the Ancient Abyss

Shaak Ti

Shaak Ti is a two-stage boss fight, with a checkpoint in the middle. She is extremely weak to Force Repulse, and simply using that one power will usually get you through this fight. Run up to Shaak Ti, knock her down with Force Repulse, and then run up to her prone body and press the saber attack button, which should impale her prone body for massive damage. Simply rinse and repeat this process until the QTE triggers.

That red bubble makes her invincible. Don't bother attacking when you can see it.
That red bubble makes her invincible. Don't bother attacking when you can see it.
Shaak Ti will telegraph all of her attacks, so they are pretty easy to dodge, but if she hits you you can get caught in a long unavoidable combo, so watch out for that. Whenever you see a red aura around Shaak Ti, she is invulnerable to any of your attacks, and she is charging up one of her own attacks. Watch out for the red bubble, and you should be set. On occasion, Shaak Ti will summon Felucians to help her out. These guys are free health for you, kill them quickly and regenerate your health, then go back after Shaak Ti. Also watch out for the blister mines on the ground; if you walk over them they will explode, damaging you and knocking you down.

After you take away about half of her health, Shaak Ti will jump down to a lower tier. The strategies are the same here, except she will periodically jump out of the arena and try to smack you with the giant tentacles. A hit from any of these tentacles will strip you of anywhere from a half to a quarter of your health on lower difficulties; expect one-hit kills on higher difficulty levels. The good news is they always land in the same order, so avoiding them becomes simply a matter of pattern memorization. Avoid the tentacles, and continue knocking her down with repulse, then land a combo while she is down. Whenever you see her charging an attack, keep jumping and dashing around, because if you stay still for too long she WILL hit you. Repulse-->Impale should finish her off quickly enough.

The QTE to finish off Shaak Ti is X, X, A, B, Y on Xbox 360, and Square, Square, X, Circle, Triangle on PS3

Holocrons

  1. Right near the beginnning, after the first group of enemies, the path will fork. Head right- a quick cutscene will trigger- and collect your holocron. 10,000 Force Points
  2. You'll enter a crazy looking cave, and a cutscene will trigger showcasing the environment. THERE ARE 4 HOLOCRONS IN THIS CAVE. MAKE SURE TO GET THEM ALL. As soon as it's over, drop down a level and get the holocron down there with 10,000 Force Points. Jump on a mushroom to get back up.
  3. Located on the third level of this ascent, cross the first center walkway, then follow the path around the edge of the cave until it stops for 10,000 Force Points.
  4. Hanging in a basket in the center of the room, double-jump from the outer walkways to grab the holocron. 10,000 Force Points
  5. Also hanging in a basket, but much higher. Continue along the path until ou get as high as you can go, then jump into one of the baskets. Jump from that basket to the next highest one, and from there to the one holding the holocron. This grants you an Unstable Red Lightsaber Crystal.
  6. After exiting the cave, you'll see a cutscene with a Felucian Shaman. Kill these homies, then head right from where you entered to score 10,000 Force Points.
  7. Keep following the path until you find a Sith holocron that grants you UNLIMITED POWER!!! (Excuse me, had to be done). Anyways, there's a secret pasage on the left in this area that leads to a holocron with a Compressed Gold Lightsaber Crystal.
  8. In the same area as Holocron 7, you'll noticed a lot of tooth-shaped rocks (or plants or whatever they are). Grab these and lift them all out of the ground. A Holocron with 10,000 Force Points is hidden under one of them.
  9. Follow the pathway and you'll see a holocron in mid-air in a hole in a rock. It's impossible to miss. Double-jump to get it. The holocron holds a Force Combo Sphere.
  10. After dropping down into the area with the Rancor, run left to grab a 10,000 FP holocron.
  11. Keep following the path and you'll find holocron 11 in a cave right after a Sith holocron granting you unlimited power. 10,000 FP.
  12. The remaining  4 holocrons are all in the area with the three Rancors. The first one is immediately on your right after entering the area, on a raised platform. 10,000 FP
  13. Keep jumping along these platforms on the right and you'll reach holocron 13. It contains a Force Talent Sphere.
  14. Head over to the platforms on the left side of this area, and ou should see holocron 14 up on those raised platforms. Jump over to it to claim your Force Power Sphere.
  15. There's a large column very near the exit. At the base of this column is Holocron 15, which grants you 10,000 Force Points.

Empirical is a rather short mission, but it is also here that you will meet two of the enemies that will annoy you a lot in the coming levels, Purge Troopers and Stormtrooper Commanders. Commanders are the Stormtroopers with the blue tribal markings and the bubble shield around them. You want to take these guys out as quickly as you can, because if you wait too long they will actually summon Shadow Troopers to help them out, and that's a problem. However, that bubble you see around commanders also makes them immune to Force Powers. A lightsaber slash, a charged Force Push, or a Force Repulse will all break his shield, at which point anything can hurt him. We'll go over how to beat Purge Troopers a bit later.

So anyways, you're trapped inside this little containment field. Do not break out of this yet, because when you do a bunch of poison gas is going to try and kill you. Beforce you break out of it, turn around and look around for a metal pillar coming out of the ground and the ceiling- it should stand out fairly easily. It has kinda a blue aura around it. Break open the cage with a Force Push, Repulse or with your Lightsaber (your choice), and then immediately grip the bottom pillar and pull it up from the floor. Pull it all the way up, and the gas should stop and the door will open.

Head out the door, blow out the windows to kill the Stormtrooper picket there, then head right down the corridoor and exit through the door. You'll find youself on the upper level of a two story room. Head right immediately and wipe out the officer and the trooper in the observation room there. This will be your first encounter with Lightning Troopers- the guys whose armor is coursing with lightning, conveniently enough. There buggers are immune to all lightning attacks, and what's worse, they come equipped with a flecette that can stun you for several seconds. Jump down to take on the lightning troopers. Try to move fast, not stand still for long, and remember not to use lightning attacks. Once you've dealt with this rifraff, head to the blue glowing door and blow it open with Force Push.

Turn left and follow the corridor while listening to PROXY tell you you are about to die. You'll encounter 4 or so troopers by some more conveniently placed windows which you can blow out. Continue on to the next big room. Time for stormtrooper commanders! Run to the bastards with the bue shields right away, and take them out with your saber as quick as you can. After taking out the two commanders, deal with everone else. There are some lightning troopers here, so I advise avoiding that power. There will also be Shadow Troopers here, who appear and then disappear- they're black. If you see one, try and kill it quickly. Once everyone's dead, head out the other door which you'll have to push open.

You'll find yourself in a long straight corridor with a bunch of Stormtroopers. Charge up a Force Push and you can wipe out most of them right away. Clear out the survivors how you wish, then Force Push the door to meet your first Purge Trooper >_<

Purge Trooper Strategies

You'll encounter your first Purge Troopers on this level, and man will they annoy you. Sadly, they will also keep annoying you through the rest of the game. Purge Troopers cannot be gripped, and cannot be pushed or repulsed to the ground. They also have a very damaging rocket, and a strong melee attack. Some of them come equipped with shields that will protect against your saber attacks. However these guys are super-weak to lightning. Lightning Shield, Force Lightning, and saber combos such as Sith Saber Smash that use lightning are all very effective.

Another effective strategy is to grab a nearby enemy or object, and throw it at the Purge trooper, taking out his legs. This will knock him down and allow you to perform an impale. This strategy will work best on the first Pure Trooper you encounter on this level. Grab one of the troopers behind the purge and take out his legs with the Stormie. Then while the purge is down, impale him. Taking out his legs in such a manner not only looks incredibly cool, it also works quite well. This combined with electricity attacks work best on Purge Troopers.

If you have leveled your grip up to level 2 or 3- which allows you to pick up multiple objects if you hold block and then use grip- you can have some fun with these guys. If you target a nearby trooper or object (Not the Purge Trooper itself), the Purge Trooper will be drawn into the multi-grip's field of effect, and you can pick him up and throw him around like any other fool. Not the most efficient of strategies as it's hard to pull off in the heat of combat, but it's great revenge on the purge trooper if you can manage to pull it off.

Also, you will not want to get close to these guys and as such the best offense for them is a ranged one. In the higher difficulties it will get considerable time for you to kill these guys using force lightning or the lightning shield, so you will have to keep moving and will have to effectively use nearby objects. The best way to take them out from a range is to charge up an object with lightning and hurl it at them. This will incapacitate him for a brief instant, you can either continue to hurl objects charged with electricity at him or you can use your Lightning on him. On the higher difficulties you will face multiple Troopers at the same time and so the best strategy for dealing with them is to tackle them one at a time. Focus on one guy at first and put everything you have into defeating him. If you keep getting knocked down by other enemies try positioning yourself in such a way that the purge trooper shields you from your enemies fire. This is a very effective strategy on the higher difficulties. However, be warned that it will take you multiple tries using chain lightning to kill him on the higher difficulties. As such, you will have to keep repositioning yourself.

Saving Juno

After you wipe out the first Purge Trooper in the small room, you'll come out into a room with a big Force Field, which Juno is behind. You're on a T-shaped catwalk, and enemies will come out of doors on either end. Choose one group of enemies to attack. A repulse or full lightning blast will wipe most of them, finish off the stragglers with your saber, then go deal with the dudes near the opposite door. Now go stand looking at the force field. This part is awesome. See those Imperial officers looking all safe and sound behind their laser shield? You can grab them with grip, and incinerate them on their own laser shield! >=) Pick these dudes up and smash them against their own shield for teh lulz, then when everybody's dead, jump down off the catwalks to deal with the two Purge Troopers below you.

Two Purge Troopers at once is really not very much fun. However, if you're a cheap bastard it's pretty easy. Line the two purge troopers up in a line, with on in front of the other, then just let loose a full lightning blast (I'm assuming you have lightning to at least level 2 by now, hopefully 3. If you don't, you're crazy). Hold down the lightning button and continue frying them. The lightning should branch and immobilize both of them, damaging them. Run around dodging their attacks until your Force is recharged, then repeat. Once those dudes are dead, you'll see two generators similar to the one at the start of the level. Lift both of these to shut down the shield, then jump up to the catwalks and approach Juno to trigger the end of the level. Time to leave the Empire behind!

Holocrons

  1. Impossible to miss. As you exit the first room there is a Holocron containing a Blue Lightsaber Crystal. If you're interested, a Blue saber is used in all cutscenes from here on out, so if you want a consistent experience use this crystal.
  2. As soon as you enter the room with the glass cases, drop down a level, and turn around immediately. There's a holocron in the room below where you just entered. It has a Force Talent sphere in it.
  3. In the same room, one of those glass cases contains a Holocron. Smash it, then jump in and grab the holocron for a Force Combo sphere.
  4. In the room with the escape pods, head to the last escape pod in the line and shoot it with lightning. This will move the pod out of the way, and you can collect the holocron it was hiding. This one has a Force Power Sphere
  5. Leave the escape pod room, and fight down the next corridor. At the end of this corridor is a holocron hidden behind some barrels. Collect it to get a Lorridan Power Crystal.

Welcome to Cloud City Bespin, home of the obligatory escort mission! YAY! Luckily this is a very short mission, another level with only 5 holocrons like the Empirical. Expect similar length here.

At certain areas in the level you'll see tubes sticking out of the ground that you can grab with the Force. These are carbonite tubes, and if you pull it out of the ground it will shoot a jet of carbonite out of the end. You can use this to freeze enemies for a one-hit kill. Some of the cases lying around the level also contain carbonite, and hitting an enemy with one will automatically freeze them. Deal with ten troopers this way and you'll finish your bonus objective. Also, those Ungnauts can totally be Sith Punted (A+X). It's awesome. That's really those only way to deal with those little buggers, and if you do it any other way you're doing it wrong.

Protecting Rahm Kota

Blind Jedi is badass? y/n
Blind Jedi is badass? y/n
This isn't too difficult of a task to perform, as Kota is still a jedi in thought so he can protect himself for a while. There is one problem, however: Kota is slow as hell. If you just kill all of the Rocket Troopers and other enemies before they get to him, you shouldn't have very much of a problem getting through this level, as it is fairly brief. Just keep going through the guided platforms and ramps down the path to the end of the level. If you have noticed these small beings called Ugnaughts, they are not nice, but they pretty much can't harm you until you get to see them in a mech suit. Once being in the presence of the mech-suited Ugnaughts, whale out on them will all the attack you got, because those things have a surprising amount of armor on them. I suggest a lot of lightning based lightsaber attacks to stun the Ugnaughts and allow yourself to keep draining their health. Once killing the Ugnaughts, you will have to face a group of considerably more difficult enemies including a force user.

Shadow Guard

Once you've worked your way to the landing platform and dealt with those damn Uggernauts, you'll be treated to a short cutscene of a Lambda-Class Shuttle (That has no GB page, I should fix that) landing. A Shadow Guard and four Stormtroopers will pile out, then you'll be given control back. Wipe out the four basic stormtroopers first, as they're all easy kills. After this, you may have to deal with a few jetpack troopers (Sometimes they show, sometimes not- I'm not quite sure of the trigger) who are easily dispatched with Force Lightning. Just hold it down until their jetpack overloads, and they'll go flying off into the distance. Murder any other smallfry in the area, then turn your attention to the Shadow Guard himself.

The Shadow Guard is simply a beefed up vversion of the senate guards you faced earlier in this level, although these guys are somewhat adept Force users, who will employ grip and push against you. Right off the bat, if you throw him off the platforms he will magically reappear, so don't even bother trying to toss him off. Basic launcher combos work very well against the Shadow Guard, but he will be quite resistant to you Force Powers, especially Lightning, which he will almost always counter with a Force Push. The simplest way to defeat this boss is to grab the containers lying around the arena, use Lightning grenade to charge them with Lightning, then throw them at him. This method will quickly wear down his health, and sometimes even knock him down, which is a prime opportunity to do an impale. Once his health is down past a quarter, you can activate the QTE (Which is the only way to kill a shadow guard). X, the X or Y on 360, Square, then Square or Triangle on PS3 will finish him off in the QTE, depending on which of the two triggers.

This boss fight concludes the level. See what Kota has to say, then get ready for your next mission.

Holocrons

  1. On top of the bar is a Holocron containing a Ruusan Power Crystal.
  2. Right before you exit the bar, there is a round platform with a hole in the middle of it. Jump in this hole to claim your Holocron. It has a Unstable Gold Lightsaber Crystal.
  3. When you leave the bar, the path is circular and splits. Take the right-hand path. When you reach the top of the slope, drop over the edge to get 10,000 Force Points
  4. This Holocron is a bit hard to get. In the same area as holocron 3, look for a ramp with blue writing at the entrance. Once at the top of this ramp, head around until you reach a circular area- you should see a holocron next two some spinning things. Do a double-jump followed by a midair dash to snag it and it's Force Combo Sphere
  5. As you work your way along the catwalks towards your objective, you'll see a large pipe that crosses your path above you (The game should do it's little auto-save circly thing right before you get to it). Jump up on to this and head left to snag your holocron which contains a Unstable Yellow Lightsaber Crystal. On this pipe is an object that periodically moves back and forth, covering the Holocron. If the object is covering the holocron, just wait for it to move back.

Back to Kashyyyk! This is a worthy return though, as this planet is nothing like the one you encountered as Darth Vader at the beginning of your journey. Also, Imperial Kashyyyk looks AMAZING- probably the best environment in the whole game. Props to the artists who did this level. Alas, they are probably fired.

Anyways, start off and move forward, and you'll immediately have control wrenched from you again to watch another cutscene. After Kento's Force Ghost fades away and you get control back, immediately turn around and snag the holocron hidden in the destroyed tree behind you. This contains Kento's robe, which you can feel free to wear- SAVE MANUALLY BEFORE CHANGING COSTUMES- other wise you lose your holocron. Move forward up the canyon, and you'll be treated to a quick cutscene showing you some Incinerator troopers. These guys are a pain, as their shields make them immune to all damage and all Force powers. These dudes have some serious range with their flamethrowers, so watch out. Three things will take down their shield: a lightsaber strike, a charged Force Push, or a Force Repulse. Once their shield is down, they're vulnerable just like an ordinary enemy. But those shields will even protect them from objects thrown at them, so don't even try.

After you kill that trio of incinerator troopers, you'll have to deal with a beefed up AT-ST, known as an AT-KT. This dude is fairly easy, and weak to lightning just like a normal AT-ST, although it has a few new attacks, such as missiles, and stronger overall damage. Lightning & Lightning shield should take it out fairly quickly. The key with these guys is to constantly be on the move, except when you have them immobilized with Force Lightning. As long as you don't stand still for too long, you should be fine against this guy. There's a Sith Holocron which increases your damage up on a rock in this area. It might be a bit difficult to get it without getting hit by the AT-KT, but it does help. take out that beast quicker.

After killing the giant robot, use Force grip to open the giant door, and you'll find yourself on a series of walkways, with some energy fields in front of you. There is one sniper on a ledge to the left, from the end of the first walkway (He should start sighting you as soon as you enter the area). Use the shields to hide from the sniper, and the ground troops will run straight to you, where you can wipe them out without worrying about the sniper. After all the troopers in your immediate area are dead, grab a box from around you and toss it at the sniper. Usually he will die in one hit, but watch for the text in the upper left to make sure.

Work your way through this section using lightning on the jetpack troopers and tossing everyone else off cliffs.

Really, I just look for any excuse I can get to post this picture.
Really, I just look for any excuse I can get to post this picture.
Once you open the giant glowing door, wipe out the picket force of troopers here, and move on into the red-carpeted trophy room. You'll find a Royal Guard here serving as a miniboss, and a live Wookiee in the cage in the center of the room. These two can go together in a not-so-perfect harmony. Actually, more a bloody, furry, murder. If you slash the bars of the wookiee cage, he will break out and go berserk on your Royal Guard. Let them slug it out, and if your wookiee dies, just toast the Royal Guard with lightning. Before you move on to the next glowing blue door, take a look aorund this room, there are some great easter eggs here that fans of Star Wars will appreciate. You might even get a glimpse of Jar-Jar...

Approach the door and you'll trigger a cutscene involving... none other than... PRINCESS LEIA! wat? Forced cameo you say? BE QUIET AND ENJOY WHAT YOU GET I SAY! After this cutscene you'll be dropped off in a new canyon. Up ahead are a bunch of guys: snipers, lightning troopers, stormies, senate guards and a Shadow Guard. Luckily, the only dudes you'll have to worry about are the snipers. Why, you ask? Because this area is full of imprisoned wookiees you can free who will go out and murder for you. If you keep enough of them alive, they can even kill the Shadow Guard for you. The wookiees are in the trapezoidal containers on the ground, and one saber slash will open them. Each container has two wookiees in it, and I recommend just slashing them as you see them. Let the wookiees massacre the grunts, while you use lightning to fry the snipers out of the towers.

When the Shadow Guard comes out, let any surviving Wookiees take a go at him first, and when they're all dead you can step in. If enough Wookiees are still alive when he comes out, they will actually beat all of his health out of him, at which point you only need to step in and activate the QTE.

Step through the door, and you'll see a few troopers in front of a laser field. As should probably be second nature to you now, toss all the dudes you can into the energy shield. If you look on the left and the right along this passage, there are cages which sometimes contain Wookiees or holocrons. Target the cage and bend it up to let out the Wookiee, who will help you, or just go in and snag your holocron (See below for a full guide). To disable the energy shield, you want to look to the upper left, at the cable running along the ceiling. Target the end of that cable (right next to the force field) and pull it out with Force Grip, which should disable the shield. Keep moving along the tunnel (you'll face some Purge Troopers and turrets), freeing any Wookiees you see in the cages and disabling the laser shields. ONce you get to the end of this tunnel, you will find yourself facing the Skyhook.

Skyhook

The Skyhook section of this level can be a real pain in the ass; featuring all of our most hated enemies: Purge Troopers, Jetpack Troopers, snipers, and turrets. Oh boy! Your goal here is to pull out all the mooring pipes- but as soon as you pull out two of them Ozzik Sturn will come out in his all fancy AT-KT, so don't bother pulling anything out until you've wiped out all the grunts on the ground. As you approach the Skyhook, there will be some rocks and containers littering the ground. Pick these up, infuse them with lightning, and toss them at the troops near the bottom of the Skyhook. The game will auto-target to your enemies, so hitting them shouldn't be too hard.

There are actually a couple of strategies for getting through this next part, one has you dealing with the enemies "section" by section and the other one is a little more bolder.

After you've tossed everything you can, it's time to move in on foot. You will want to make two or three passes around this circle in order to most effectively tackle the enemies here. First, you'll want to move in quick and take out the snipers and the turrets, then move away before the Purge Trooper can deal with you. Leave the Sith Holocrons for your second pass when you'll be dealing with the Purge Troopers, as they're much more effective there. You may also notice there are some Wookiee cages littered around the perimeter, go ahead and slash these to let out some Wookiees that will help you fight. However, f you put the Wookiees up against the Purge Troopers the Purge Troopers will usually win. But any help is good help eh?

So after you've made one complete circle and taken out most of the snipers and turret guys, it's time to deal with the Purge Troopers. Luckily, the environment is structured in such a way that you usually only have to take on one Purge at a time. Pick up the Sith Holocrons littering the area, then take on the Purge Troops like you've been doing before, using Lightning-based attacks and throwing objects at them. Work your way around the perimeter and eliminate all remaining resistance. After everyone is dead, target the poles where the lightning is coming from; pick them up with Force Grip, and lift them up into the sky and toss it off into the distance. After you do two of these, Sturn will appear in an AT-KT, which is pretty much just a beefed up version of an AT-ST. Same strategies will work here, or you can just spam Sith Slash, which will keep the AT-KT stunned and allow you to kill it without taking a hit. Whale away on him, activate the QTE (X, A, Y, B on 360) and the level is over.

The other strategy has you playing hide and seek with the enemies....

The snipers are in an "elevated" spot and you have to go past the purge troopers to get to them, but you will absolutely have to kill these guys first or you are not going to get past this level, regardless of the difficulty you are playing on. Dont engage the purge troopers and go directly to the snipers. If you have steady hands and are in the mood for a little payback, charge these guys with electricity and hurl them at the Purge troopers. You will have to be fast about this or you will find yourself getting knocked down and trust me when I say that t is a pain in the rear. Also, in certain sections you have a machine gun "nest"...kill these guys first, again you can charge em and toss em at the purge troopers. Try not to wander around too much as there are enemies behind every one of the "mooring pipes" station. You can actually get through this entire circle without using any of the holocroms and doing so will let you have a easier time with the boss in this level. You will want to hide a lot if you are playing on the easier difficulties and you can replenish your health by picking off the weak enemies. Don't pull the moorin pipes until you are done killing all of the enemies as when you pull out a few, the boss appears and it can get quite hard to deal with multiple enemies at once.

Holocrons

  1. Directly to your left right after the mission begins is a holocron with a Compressed Blue Lightsaber Crystal
  2. Immediately after the cutscene with Starkiller's father, turn around and there is a holocron inside the wooden hollow behind you. It contains Kento's Robe, which you should save before equipping otherwise you will lose the holocron.
  3. Before the giant metal gate guarded by the AT-KT, there is a holocron on the right, on top of a tree stump. 10,000 Force Points
  4. After opening the door, a holocron is floating on the left over a pipe. 10,000 Force Points
  5. Follow the down path, there's a holocron on a pipe here with 10,000 Force Points
  6. Follow the up path, and after you pass under a large pipe, turn around and a holocron is hidden there with 10,000 Force Points
  7. There is a holocron near the base of the generator tower with a Force Combo Sphere. Drop down on it from above, as you can't get it on the ground.
  8. Holocron in the trophy room between two horns. 10,000 Force Points
  9. There is a holocron inside the first sniper platform which you can reach by jumping on top of the nearby Wookiee cage. You'll get a Fore Power Sphere
  10. A holocron is hidden in one of the Wookiee cages in this area for 10,000 Force Points
  11. On the last sniper platform before the exit of the room, the is a holocron in there. To reach it you will need the dashing blast (A,A,LB,B) combo. Jump on the Wookiee cage opposite the platform, and perform the dashing blast to reach the sniper platform. This contains 10,000 Force Points
  12. Holocron inside one of the cages in the tunnel with the energy shields. Look along the walls and the holocrons should stand out easily. Force Talent Sphere
  13. Another one along the tunnel. 10,000 Force Points
  14. As you exit the tunnel, in the branches of a tree on the right is a holocron which holds a Purple Lightsaber Crystal.
  15. Around the back of the Skyhook is the final holocron, containing 10,000 Force Points.

You'll see Imperials and Felucians skirmishing in front of you as the level starts. The Imperials will pretty much always win this skirmish, so Felucians are usually a non-threat. I suggest using Repulse on the grunts, although there is a Purge Trooper leading a squad of lightning troopers you will have to deal with that can resist your repulse. Use your saber to kill these guys, although the Purge will use his shield, you can batter through his defenses. Turn left on the metal bridge, where you'll face a WEB and a WEM turret which both go down quick. Move up through the shields- deal with the lightning troopers using a Repulse- until you get to the Purge Trooper. Now that you have Lightning Shield, this makes Purge Troopers much easier, as it will both protect you and amplify your damage. So use lightning shield and your saber and the Purge will go down quick. IF you want to overkill, use lightning saber combo's for extra damage.

As you get off the bridge, you'll drop down into a gully. There are several lightning troopers and incinerator troopers here, which will go down easiest with the saber. As you go along this gully, an AT-ST will FALL FROM THE SKY! and knock some rocks into your path. You can fight the AT-ST if you want the Experience, or you can just Force Push the rocks out of your way and keep going. As you go past the rocks, you'll see some Felucians and Imperials fighting, before another AT-ST falls from the sky. Use repulse on the foot soldiers and lightning on the AT-ST. Once everyone in that area is dead, move along to see a Sarlacc which has been imprisoned by an Imperial apparatus.

Turn right and head towards the first crane-thing. Run up to it and jump up on the main platform, then use a Repulse which should clear out most of the enemies on the deck. You'll see a glowing blue generator, which you should charage up with Force Lightning. Head back towards the bride heading towards the center area, and cross the bridge. A bunch of troopers will run out to meet you. If you have purchased Dashing Shock now is a GREAT time to use it. If not, a repulse will kill most of the regular troops- the Purge will resist it, as usual. You'll see there is a lift in the middle of this structure, but it has no power. Head down the other two bridges, and you'll have two more cranes just like the first. Repulse the guys on deck, charge the generators, and when you've done that to all three cranes, head back to the middle and take the lift down.

Inside the Sarlacc

Why you WANT to be inside of one of these is beyond me, but hey, I'm sure they had a good reason.
Why you WANT to be inside of one of these is beyond me, but hey, I'm sure they had a good reason.
After taking the lift down, you'll be greeted by some garbled transmissions from Juno. You won't be able to understand much, but she really doesn't ever have much good to say anyways. I tend to just ignore her. I suggest you do too. Anyways, you'll see the Imperials have set up shop down here, but then again, trying to walk around inside of a carnivorous creature's belly is never really a good thing. Keep walking forward, and you'll hear an imperial yell to get the lights on, right before he's sucked into some sort of opening. This is a poor hint that you're supposed to charge those little generator things you see with lightning. Charge up the one in front of you, move on, and drop down to the next pit (for info on how to get that crazily placed holocron, see below). Drop down the next opening, and you'll find yourself in a tunnel full of those weird lung things that ate your stormtrooper previously. Whenever you see a generator on the ground, shoot lightning at it, which will cause the nearby lung to close. If you don't shoot lightning, the lung will swallow yu, damaging you on lower difficulty levels. On higher difficulties, it's a one-hit kill. So keep moving forward, charging the generators as you go.

You'll reach a large open area next, which is a wind tunnel. You'll see some felucians chilling here, but you won't really have to deal with them, because they're too stupid to know they're standing out in the open where they'll get owned by the air blasts. Periodically a strong blast of wind will come from the opening of this tunnel, which blows everone in the room against the back wall, in a spectacular showcase of Euphoria Physics. Luckily, there are conveniently placed pillars which you can hide behind that will prevent you from getting blown back. Hide behind one of these, wait for the air to start and stop, then advance two or three pillars, and hide behind that one. If you try to go more, it's likely you'll get blown away and have to start all over. Move up to the large opening slowly, by hiding behind pillars, and when you have time, rush out through the door where all the air has been coming from. Chill in that large bowl for a moment, and a cutscene will trigger, spewing ou out of the Sarlacc. YAY! No painful 1,000 years of being digested for you.

Bull Rancor

Do not fool yourself into thinking that this will be just like facing a normal rancor because, sadly it is not. This part can be a pain in the ass if you dont keep your wits about you. It is actually quite easy if you adept at saber combat, because with a few good saber moves you can inflict quite a lot of damage on the rancor. Your force powers will be of very little use to you as Force lightning does almost nothing against this bull rancor. Instead, you will want to use a combination of saber throw and aerial attack to wear it down. You can actually muddle through this fight by just button mashing, but make sure that you are up in the air when you are attacking the rancor. You can actually attack its legs when it is facing away from you as the rancor has a tendency to charge at you and if you avoid it, you can attack its behind.
The best strategy especially the higher difficulties is to use patience...you should start off with saber throws from a distance and once
You'll probably find yourself in this situation more often than you'd like.
You'll probably find yourself in this situation more often than you'd like.
the Rancor charges towards you, move away and when present with the opportune moment, jump up in the air(double) and quickly attack it. Note, that on the higher difficulties the rancor will inflict more damage on you and so you will want to move away as quickly as you can. Keep doing this and in no time you will beat the Rancor. Also, do not worry about Maris brood, as she cannot be hurt, yet she is invincible. If she chases you, run away and eventually she will stop. If she doesn't stop chasing you(it happened to me a couple of times) stop and engage her, this will most likely result in you losing a little health but will keep her off your back for a little while.
Note that, although force lightning might not be the most effective tool against the rancor, other lightning based attacks work out pretty good, the sith slash for instance is a real good way at knocking off a chunk of health from the rancor...

Maris Brood

This fight is actually pretty simple, at the onset it might seem as though it is going to be a tough fight because Maris brood can turn invisible, but it is actually quite easy. You can get through the entire fight without her laying a single blow on you. Although, you will not be able to see her when she is attacking you/charging you the camera moves ever so subtly when she is close to you and the easiest way to lay her down is to use force repulse. This works really good on her as all you need to do repulse her and then when she is laying on the ground, go over and inflict some serious damage on her. Rinse and repeat until you kill her.
She is also very very vulnerable to lightning and both the lightning shield and Force lightning should work wonders on her. Just point in a direction where you think she is and let it rip...It takes off a lot of health even on the higher difficulties. Enjoy the QTE..it is solid

Holocrons

  1. You should see this holocron directly ahead from your starting point, floating in midair near a giant tooth. Jump on the little raised base of the giant tooth, then double-jump up to grab the holocron for a Force Talent Sphere.
  2. A small passage on the right side of the opening area contains a holocron with a Green Lightsaber Crystal. This is guarded by an incinerator trooper.
  3. Hidden under one of the giant teeth in the opening area, you should be able to see the gold glow coming out of the tooth. Pick it up with Force Grip and grab the holocron hidden underneath it for 10,000 Force Points
  4. Cross the metal bridge/ramp thing, and right before you have to drop down a level, there will be a holocron floating high up on your right. Jump on a mushroom to get up to it and score a Compressed Purple Lightsaber Crystal.
  5. Go forward until you are faced by an AT-ST. On the right of the fallen rocks is a set of tunnels. Jump up on this ledge, and grab a holocron with 10,000 Force Points
  6. Go the other way up the set of tunnels until the end, where you will find a holocron behind a trooper on a turret. It holds a Force Power Sphere.
  7. When you enter the area with the sarlacc, head right towards the crane. There is a holocron on the ground around the back of the crane. 10,000 Force Points
  8. On that same crane, there is a holocron on top of the actual crane, the part that extends over the abyss. Jump up onto it near the generator, then walk forward to claim a Vextal Power Crystal.
  9. On the center structure in the middle of the Sarlacc, there is a holocron on the roof of one of the bridges. Don't go down the lift until you've claimed it. It holds 10,000 Force Points.
  10. When the lift stops, there is a holocron on the right with 10,000 Force Points.
  11. You'll enter an area with a drop down, and a holocron floating in mid-air a long ways off. You may think you can reach it just by a double-jump dash, but that will fall short. You need the Force combo Dashing Blast (1 sphere to unlock). This combo gives you the extra boost you need to get this holocron. look towards the holocron, then press (Jump, Jump, Dash, then Force Push immediately after you dash). That should get you to the holocron, although it may take a few tries to get the hang of the dashing blast down. The holocron you went to all this trouble for only has 10,000 Force Points :*(
  12. There's a holocron worth 10,000 Force Points in the wind tunnel.
  13. As soon as the Sarlacc spits you out, there will be a holocron almost directly above you. Jump on the nearby toadstool, then double-jump to get the holocron floating in mid-air for a Force Combo Sphere.
  14. When you're exiting the area with the rancor, you'll jump up two sets of rough steps. There is a holocron floating above these steps that holds a Unstable Blue Lightsaber Crystal.
  15. When you run across your next rancor, just walk along the left of the area to get the last holocron from Imperial Felucia. 10,000 Force Points.

Oh yay look! It's another recylced planet! Aren't you happy to be back?! At least they gave us a new costume eh? Well, I have good news and I have bad news... Well, no, just bad news really. This stage is bookended by not one, but two! really annoying boss encounters. Good stuff. Also, why would you build your shipyards over a JUNK planet? Why not like... the industrial titanium planet or something. It's not like they're making their destroyers out of junk...

Anyways, enough rambling. Your goal here is to disable the orbital shipyards. What that means for you: you'll have to fight through a conflict between the Rodians you met here last time and the Imperials. This really isn't much of a fight, as the Imperials are much better equipped. Plus, they have Purge Troopers. Oh those goddamn Purge Troopers.

You'll start off in a pretty tame area, with a few weak Rodians and jawas. The were a challenge last time you were here, but now they're nothing but canon fodder. Move forward until your path is blocked by some iron girders. A repulse or push will move the girders sufficiently for you to pass through. On the other side is a Rodian Ripper and one of the heavy repeater guys. Toss them both off the edge and keep moving, dealing with the weak Rodian resistance as you go. You'll see some TIE's screaming by, indicating the enemies you'll be faing later. Keep going to the spot where you have to cross a gap over a broken bridge. Jump across, and pick up the Sith Holocron, which will restore your health, then turn left.

You'll see a crashed ship in front of you with a few defenders. Kill them, then turn left again and drop down a few levels. Jump across the gap into the blue ring, snagging the holocron floating there. As you come out of that tunnel, you'll be in a large battleground where Rodians and Imperials are fighting. You can fight if you want, but I quite honestly recommend skipping it, as taking on three Purge Troopers at once with extra guys is not fun at all. Head to the left side and jump up on the platforms there, jumping on two of the large circular things before getting onto the less sturdy looking junk ledges. When you jump onto the first junk ledge, turn around and head back the other way going up. You'll go through another blue-ish ring and Juno will tell you PROXY left the ship.

You'll enter the next open are, but you can't skip this one sadly. Grab the invincibility holocron floating at the exit to the tunnel, and jump down to the battleground. I recommened using the invincibility to take out the Purge Trooper nearest the ledge you jumped down from, as you can attack him without fear of counter. After that guy's dead you'll be faced with a couple regular old Stormtroopers to face. Just fling them straight up- they'll come back down at some point. Next order of business is the two snipers, who you can trace easily by their sights. Kill them, then pick up one of several Sith holocrons lying around this area and go take on the Purge Troopers. Mop up what remains of the IMperials, and the hangar door will open when only one soldier is still alive.

Good news is the hangar door opened. Bad news is an AT-ST and two Purge Troopers came out. Look around for one of the Sith holocrons that you haven't used yet and grab it. Hopefully it is a damage increase holocron, because one of those combined with Force Lightning can toast an AT-ST in five seconds, and a Purge Trooper in only a few more. After those guys are dead, move inside the base where you'll have to deal with a Stormtrooper Commander and a couple snipers. Kill them and head to the back, where you'll see a lift. Wait at the base for a second. and a lift will come down to get you step on it and ride it up. Watch the short cutscene- be sure to catch the Wilhelm Scream as Starkiller throws the pilot out of the ship- and take control back.

There are four Stormtroopers between you and the next lift- no challenge at all. Head to the back of the room and ride the lift up- there will be two Imperial officers up top. (Ever notice how they use the same model for all the imperial officers? kinda lazy). Kill them and head through the door, which will put you into an area that looks like a wedding cake on your mini-map (seriously, look at it). Stay on the bottom level and walk around the ring. You'll see two force fields, and a third down a hallway. Look at the two on the sides of the hallway. Behind them is a glowing blue piece of machinery. Grip and out of there, which should shut down that particular field. Deactivate both of them to open the hallway. Head down the hallway and activate the lift.

The elevator spits you out in a hot zone- Stormies, snipers, and jetpack troopers. A quick blast of lightning should take care of the jetpack troopers and Stormtroopers, who all lined up in a neat line for your lightning to chain through. You'll still have some guys at the far end and the snipers to deal with though (Although maybe not the snipers, sometimes I've seen them walk right off the edges of their platforms). Kill the remainging troopers with lightning, and throw objects at the snipers to kill them. Head to the large door at the end, and look to the left and right. THere are glowing gears here, which you need to Force Grip and pull up. Pull both of them all the way to the top, and the door will open.

The path forks here, allowing you to go either left or right. Either way works, it is your choice. You'll face Stormtrooper Commanders, the Shadow Troopers they summon, and lightning troopers whichever way you go. I find gripping troopers and tossing them against the ceiling both works well and is awesomely hilarious here. Make it half way around the circle, then head out the exit and up the lift. Get ready for a boss fight,

PROXY

You'll pop up the lift to confront an Imperial Shadow Guard, same as you have before. Whale away on this dude like you did to the ones on Kashyyyk and Bespin. However, there's one key difference between those guys and this one. This one is PROXY in disguise. After you knock away about a quarter of his health, PROXY will reveal himself to you, and the fight will continue. What Proxy will do is take the forms of all the previous bosses you have defeated in the game previously. You might think the threat is seriously reduced as droids can't use Force powers, but PROXY CAN USE THE FORCE, SO WATCH THE FUCK OUT. That glaring plothole aside, the same strategies you used to defeat these bosses earlier are still valid. Knock PROXY down as much as you can, and perform the impale move on him while he's down. If you manage to grab him with grip, impale him with your saber then toss him quickly, which is a damaging combo. If you hold him too long with grip, he will break out and perform a counter attack. Knock his health down to about one-quarter remaining and you'll trigger another cutscene. Turns out PROXY had one module he was hiding from you... Darth Maul.

Darth Maul

Dont get too excited about this boss fight because, like most of the boss fights in The Force Unleashed, it is not a whole lot of fun. So when PROXY shifts to Darth Maul you might be in awe for a little bit but you need to focus and have a whole lot of patience to get through this battle. He has an absolutely deadly Spinning Saber blades attack which will fuck you up. So be on the lookout and stay away, other than that wail away and use a multitude of different attacks on him. Force Repulse works well and so do aerial attacks. You might have to redo this section of the fight a couple of times but enjoy the John Williams "Duel of the Fates" music and have "fun"

RIP IT OUT OF THE SKY!

Smashy smashy
Smashy smashy
Oh Jesus you have to rip a Star Destroyer out of the sky. This will not end well. Except it will! Because Lies is here to help you. This fight can be an INCREDIBLE pain in the ass, but I'll walk you through some strategies to make it easier. The fight consists of three basic phases, aligning the Destroyer, pulling it down, and fighting TIE Fighters. We'll walk you through the whole process step by step. If you have an trouble or suggestions, feel free to leave comments on the side. We'll address any problems you may have if you do indeed need help.

Proper Alignment

This can be a BITCH!
This can be a BITCH!
This is the part that drives most people crazy, and why some people have told me that this five to fifteen minute segment took them over an hour to beat. We will attempt to avoid the same things happening to you. First things first, press R to grip the Destroyer. You'll see an on-screen depiction of the two thumbsticks superimposed over a red circle. Your goal is to level off the destroyer and have the nose point forwards. Why exactly you need to level off the damn ship before crashing it into a planet is beyond me, but hey, ask Haden Blackman. The thumbstick prompts will show you which direction to point each stick most of the time, just be aware that your final goal is to have the ship level with the nose pointing at you. How you will know you've doone it right is that the red circle behind the sticks will turn green. When this happens, EVEN IF THE PROMPTS TELL YOU TO MOVE THE STICKS MORE, hold the Destroyer in that position for a moment or two. If you succeed in not letting it drift out of position (You'll know it's out of position if the circle turns red), in a couple seconds the prompts will change, indicating you can pull the Star Destroyer down now.

Pulling The Destroyer

This is the easiest part by far. Just jam both sticks as far down as they'll go, and HOLD THEM DOWN. The ship will slowly start moving downwards. Just hold you sticks down and watch the Destroyer get dragged helplessly down to the planet. Whle you're pulling it down, you want to be watching for approaching TIE Fighters. These will start off as specs in the distance, but soon you'll be able to make them out. Keep pulling the Destroyer down until you see the lead TIE fighter shoot a laser at you. Let go of the destroyer, dodge the laser from the TIE Fighter, and get ready to take on some TIEs.

Dealing with TIEs

TIE Fighters blow up when electrified? They just don't make space ships like they used to.
TIE Fighters blow up when electrified? They just don't make space ships like they used to.
The TIE Fighters come in waves of eight or so. You want to kill them as fast as you can, because the longer it takes you to kill the TIE's, the more out of position the Star Destroyer drifts. The quickest way to dispatch these guys is to simply use lightning. If you can manage to touch a TIE with Force Lightning, it will explode. The problem is that you can't target the TIE's until they are right on top of you, which makes them hard to hit sometimes. Head to the left or right and just look straight ahead. When a TIE approaches, shoot out a blast of lightning. If you hit the TIE it will explode about half a second later. Just stay in that spot and lightning all the TIEs that come your way. You should be able to clear all the fighters in 2-3 waves this way.

The best place to "hide" is right behind the little pillars(left or right), you will want to double jump right when the Tie comes near you. Be advised, that if only takes a little force lightning to kill one TIE. If you are not hitting the TIE stop for a moment and try again as there is no sense in wasting lightning. If you time your jumps right, this will be the easiest part.

It is also very effective to use Force Grip on the TIE Fighters, ideally using it to throw them into each other. This can be done very quickly when you get into the groove of it, and it requires little effort compared to most accurate attempts at throwing stuff into other stuff. Pretty much use the same technique to target them, but you don't really have to think about where you want to throw a TIE once it's targeted like you would with most things. Just face where it's going when it's coming at you an rapidly tap R while running in that direction. Your guy won't go anywhere because he'll just be running in place against the edge, but what this will do is grab the TIE with R and immediately throw it in that direction since the stick is held down. Usually this will cause the fighter you've Gripped to automatically head for another fighter in the formation thanks to the nature of the game's targeting system, so you don't really even have to worry about where you want to throw it. If you stand still to try and think about where you want to throw it then you're doing it wrong. You'll usually just get shot, causing you to let go of the fighter and take damage. Even if you throw the TIE and miss its comrades you'll still be killing one of them.

Holocrons

  1. From the start spot, jump to the platform on your right. Walk aling until you reach the end, then look across the path to another globe/ sphere objet on the other side. Do a dashing blast (Jump, Jump, Dash, Push right away) to land on the other platform. Walk into the little cave area- you'll drop down- and claim a Sigil Power Crystal.
  2. A small path in the junk on the left side of the first Sith holocron as you move on leads to a holocron with 10,000 Force Points
  3. You'll jump across a gap and be looking at a crashed ship with a brownish-looking metal door. Force Push it open and go inside to score a Force Power Sphere.
  4. As you're going along your path, you'll have to jump through a glowing blueish ring with a holocron in plain sight. It holds 10,000 Force Points.
  5. You'll enter an open area with some fighting going on. On the right in this area is a holocron with a Compressed Green Lightsaber Crystal.
  6. After you've killed a set number of enemies in this area, a cutscene will trigger with some enemies blasting a hole in the wall and rushing into the fight. Simply walk back up the tunnel they just came from to score a holocron with 10,000 Force Points.
  7. There is a holocron floating in mid-air on the left side of this arena. Access it by jumping on the left-side platforms, then doing a mid-air dash to grab it for 10,000 Force Points
  8. As you jump up the platforms on the left, you'll exit through a tunnel. There is an obvious holocron floating in the middle of this passage containing 10,000 Force Points
  9. When you enter the large open area with the closed hangar doors, there is a holocron up on the platforms to the right of the sealed hangar. 10,000 Force Points
  10. Once you enter the hangar, there is one holocon on the upper walkway holding a Force Talent Sphere.
  11. After taking the lift up, you'll see a holocron on a small walkway. 10,000 Force POints
  12. When you enter the circular area with the generator tower and the force fields, head up the ramp as high as you can go. You'll run ito a wall with some crates placed in front of it. Push the crates out of the way to reveal a hole in the wall. Walk into the hole you just revealed to find a holocron with an Unstable Purple Lightsaber Crystal.
  13. When you enter the room with the one main walkway and two smaller walkways on each side. On the right of the smaller walkways is a holocron. TO reach it, get to the spot where the walkways are closest, and use Dashing Blast to get over to that walkway. Grab the holocron containing a Force Combo Sphere and use dashing blast to get back.
  14. You'll enter an area where you can either go left or right on a circular path. Head right to grab a holocron worth 10,000 Force Points, or...
  15. Head left to grab another holocron worth 10,000 Force Points.

First Room

The first room on the Death Star is a giant pain in the ass to wipe out. There are two holocrons in this room on the upper level near the snipers, but you can always return later and get them. If you really want to clear all enemies from this room you can, but the simplest way is to run to the glowing blue panels in the center of the room and perform a repulse, which will allow you to drop into the laser-firing tube below.

However, assuming you want to clear out this first room completely you're in for the long haul. Your first order of business is the two snipers on the top level. To reach them, dash to the right immediately, past the purge trooper and co coming out of that room. There's a lift in the corner you can ride (relatively) safely to the top level. The snipers will try to sight on you, so dash and jump a lot to avoid getting hit. Each sniper should go down in one or two saber hits, or you can deal with them with Force Powers. Your choice. Just take out the two snipers up top, then jump off the walkways. Head to one end of the room, take out the asshole on the E-WEB, then duck into the room behind him. This will protect you from the walker, whatever variant it is. The purge troopers and jet troopers will wander into your room slowly, and you can dispatch them easily with your saber and lightning combos. When you've wiped out all the foot troopers, head out of your room and take down the walker. By this point you should be fairly adept at taking down walkers, so it should be no problem. As soon as you take out the walker, a new wave will come up the lift, including a new walker and a bunch more troopers.

Head back to your little room and repeat the previous process until you've defeated all waves of enemies (Be warned, there are a lot of waves of enemies). Once everyone is dead, collect the two holocrons in the room, and grip or repulse open the panels and head down into the laser tube.

Pulsarium Rings

After dropping down from the first room, you'll find yourself in a laser firing tube. When that giant green beam is firing, you won't want to be in the tunnel, as it's a one-hit kill. There are plenty of alcoves on both sides of this tunnel to hide in, so avoiding the beam isn't too much of a problem. As soon as the laser turns off, start running forward. If you reach one of the large green focusing lenses, a few Force pushes or a Force Repulse will destroy it, allowing you to move on. You'll have two signs that the laser is about to fire.
  1. The announcer will say "Cooldown cycle complete", which indicates you have about 10 to 15 seconds before the laser fires
  2. The announcer will begin a countdown when there are five seconds left, which indicates you should probably GTFO of that tunnel.
Work your way through the tunnel, running when the laser isn't firing, hiding in one of the little niches when it is. Just go straight down the tube until you can't go straight anymore. Some of these rooms along the tube house holocrons, but if you're interested in those check our holocron section below. After advancing up the tube far enough, you'll have to turn right and open a door with Force grip. Go through this door, which will trigger a load. After your game reloads, you'll have to fight down a corridor filled with a couple turrets and Purge Troopers. Lightning and lightning shield are both quite effective in clearing this corridor.

After that you will be faced with two sets of rotating glowing rings. Wait for the laser to stop, then move up to the edge and grip the rings. Hold up on both sticks until the first ring locks into place (This will disengage your grip), then grip the second ring and hol up on both sticks until it locks, then grab the third ring and hold right on both sticks until it locks. When all three rings are locked, a bridge should extend, allowing you to jump across the room. Do the same procedure for the second set of rings, and jump across. Head right and exit the laser tube. You'll find youself in a large, imposing room. Luckily, unless you're after holocrons, you can pretty much skip this entire room. Drop down to the bottom floor, and quickly look for the glowing blue generator object. Quickly grab it and shove it into the wall, which will activate the two gravity lifts in the room. There are two AT-STs on this floor, but as long as you grab the generator quickly enough, you can activate the lifts then ride them up without having to fight the AT-ST's.

Ride up above the observation platform, then jump down onto the observation platform and get ready to confront a Shadow Guard and some Royal Guards.

Shadow/ Royal Guards

As soon as you jump onto the Emperor's Observation Platform, a Shadow Guard and five Royal Guards will run out to confront you. The door they came out of takes forever to open, so running by them isn't an option. First thing you should do is run right over to the Sith holocron and pick it up. It contains a Life Drain Aura, which will keep you health maxed easy as long as it lasts. Next, activate lightning Shield, charging it up if you've leveled the power. Focus on taking out the Royal Guards first using saber combos, as they're generally resistant to Force Powers (Plus, your saber should be powered up from lightning Shield). Try to isolate one, so you don't have to worry about getting hit in the back unexpectedly. However, if you ever do find yourself surrounded, a Force Repulse will usually blow away some of your attackers, although usually not all. As always, if you do manage to knock someone down, make sure to impale them for massive damage. Whale away on the Royal Guards until they're dead, then turn to focus on the Shadow Guard. We've been over how to beat these guys, so he shouldn't really be much of a problem, especially when you're so powerful now. Lightning and your Lightsaber are both effective against him. Finish him off with the QTE, and move the ring around the door to head onwards to confront Vader.

Holocrons

  1. There are two holocrons in the first room, both on the secon level. Run right as soon as the level starts, head to the lift in the corner of the room. This will take you up to the second floor, where the first holocron is placed in a small alcove off the walkway. It holds a Katak Power Crystal.
  2. Keep going around the second level walkway, and you'll find the second one opposite the first holocron in a similar alcove. 10,000 Force Points in this one.
  3. Move down the laser tube, smash through the first set of lenses, and there is a holocron in the last little room on the right side in the section after the lenses with 10,000 Force  Points
  4. In the third chamber, when there are two rooms off to the left and right of the main laser tube, go to the back wall of the left room. There is a small lift there, which you can ride up to the second floor. From the second floor, jump on top of the laser tube. There are two holocrons up here, one at each end of the laser tube. One of them has an Unstable Green Lightsaber Crystal...
  5. The other has 10,000 Force Points.
  6. Go through the door to enter the next area (It loads), then lift up the next door. there is a holocron in the next small room on the right with a Force Talent Sphere in it.
  7. Go to the next room, and there's another holocron on the right side of that corridor with 10,000 Force Points.
  8. When you exit the corridor and find yourself back in the laser tube, there's a holocron directly across from you that is impossible to miss. 10,000 Force Points.
  9. When you get to the pulsarium rings, take the lift down to the lower level and walk around the ring, and there is a Force Power Sphere down there at the base.
  10. There's a holocron floating in the gap between the bridges of the second set of pulsarium rings with 10,000 Force Points
  11. As you enter the large room with the Emperor's Observation Platform, there are FIVE holocrons in this room. The first one is located in a laser tube, right below he level you start on. Walk across the walkway in front of you, then look down into the tubes to find the holocron which has 10,000 Force Points. Make sure not to get incinerated by the laser firing.
  12. On the second floor of this large room, in one of the corners is a 10,000 Force Point holocron.
  13. On the third floor in a small room is another holocron with 10,000 Force Points
  14. If you ride the lifts all the way to the very top of the room, you will see a holocron on top of the uppermost laser tube. At one end of the laser tube is a holocron. You cannot reach this holcron just by double jumping. You have to aim to land near the holocron, then double-jump and dash onto it to claim the Black Lightsaber Crystal that this holocron holds. (If you need help getting this one, check youtube, as there are several good guides)
  15. On the platform you're supposed to land on, there is a Jedi and a Sith gholocron. The Jedi holocorn holds a Force Combo Sphere.

Darth Vader

Oh man Darth Vader. Time for your revenge on him for manipulating you and killing your awesome droid. The thing to be aware of is that Vader is most resistant to pretty much all of your Force powers. The best way to take him on one-on-one is to use Lightning Shield then hack away with your lightsaber.

Phase 1 (Hallway)

This fight is not terribly hard, as Vader telegraphs his attacks with the same red aura you've seen earlier on Shaak Ti. He'll use his saber, Foce Push, and Force Grip. The key here is to wait until he charges his Force push, the jump around behind Vader like a maniac so his push misses. Following the push, Vader slumps his shoulders, and is vulnerable to a saber combo (I recommend using a Sith Saber Smash). Hit his with a combo, then throw in a few extra attacks, and back off until he charges another push. The key here is just to avoid Vader until he charges a push, dodge the push, then land a devastating combo while Vader is vulerable. After knocking away about a third or a fourth of Vader's health, you will advance to the second stage of this fight.

Phase 2

This phase is quite possibly the easiest boss fight so far into the game. Vader will be chilling on the center platform, and you'll be on the outside. Be careful not to touch the red floor, as it's lasers or somesuch and will hurt you. This fight pretty much consists of Vader throwing shit at you. Easiest way to avoid this? Throw shit at him first. The walls to the left and right are lined with grippable objects. As soon as the boss fight starts up, grab one of these things off the wall and chuck it at Vader. This will immediately stun him for 4 or 5 seconds, allowing you to jump onto his center platform and pull off a quick saber combo. Be sure to get off before he becomes unstunned, because if you don't he'll catch you in a series of unescapable grips.

Simply keep throwing objects at Vader until his health reaches a certain point, where he will bend down the platform you are standing on and jump to the back platform. Follow him onto this platform and you wil engage in a more traditional duel. Lightning Shield is useful here for both pumping up your damage, and reducing the damage Vader can do to you. If you can, knock Vader over and perform your impale move for massive damage, and the fight should be over fairly quickly.

The ending QTE for the Vader fight is B, B, X, X, X

Following that incredibly badass QTE, you'll be treated to a short cutscene. This is where you can branch the story and decide Starkiller's fate. Either run forward to confront the Emperor and save Rahm Kota (This is the canon, or Light-Side ending), or jump down and to the right off the catwalk to take your vengeance on Vader (The alternate, Dark Side Ending).

Phase 3 (Dark Side Ending)

This fight is probably easier than the Palpatine fight, but not by much. As soon as the fight starts, hold right on the stick and press the saber attack button. You and Vader should engage in a lock. Mash the button to win, which should knock him over. Run to his prone body and impale him. Vader will fight mostly using his saber and Saber throws, although this does not mean he won't use grip or push if you get too up in his face. A Lightsaber and lightning shield will probably be your best bet in this fight, but don't stay in close combat too long or you'll get hit with a killer counter-attack. I don't recommend using Lightning, as it very rarely damages him, and even when it does it doesn't do much damage. Saber Throw is a decent power, but only if you can be sure Vader won't attack you while you are defenseless. The fight is tough, but eventually Vader's health will wear down, and you can finally kill that bastard. Go ahead and watch the incredibly depressing darkside ending, and your time with Force Unleashed is finished.

This is only tangentially related... but really...

Palpatine

This fight can actually be quite easy depending on your skill level, basically Palpatine has two attacks. He can use force lightning and he use force grip to throw objects at you, you can run around and evade the force lightning and as for the debris you can hide behind the many consoles that litter the area. Shoot lightning bolts at him but for the most part engage in saber combat. Additionally you can also use Force repulse to knock down the objects that palpie tries to shoot at you. This can work really good if you close to him and cant disengage fast enough. Note, that his lightning shield is very strong and will take away a large piece of your health if you strike him. He will activate his shield right before his royal guards come in. There are no health pick ups so regain health from the Royal Guard members. The blue guard members are susceptible to lightning attacks and the red guard members need to be knocked down first. Hope your game doesn't crash here like mine did on my first playthrough -__-
Once again, patience will pay off and regardless of the difficulty you are playing on, you should whittle away his health. Enjoy the QTE and "enjoy" the cut scene at the end...

Jedi Temple (DLC)

Just so you don't get your hopes up for something super-long, keep this in mind. I beat this DLC fives times and snagged all the achievements in 1:35:52, according to his game clock. :| It does have some fun DMM stuff though.

Okay, so you handed over your ten bucks, and now you want to play your DLC. First off, you're probably wondering how to access it. You can't get to it through an existing save, only a new one. Head to the main menu, and choose New Game. Select the Jedi Temple option, then choose your difficulty. There's an achievement for beating it on each difficulty level, but these do not cascade. In other words, to get all four difficulty achievements, you will have to play the level four times. I suggest starting on Apprentice and working your way up, so you can max out your stats before tackling Sith Master.

So choose your difficulty, and the level will load up. You'll start off in a small hold on the Rogue Shadow, which will quickly open and send you plummeting towards the platform below. As you fall, you'll see a little message saying you've been awarded new Force Points. As you will soon realize, your stats are mostly maxed, but they are by no strech filled out. You start out this level with:

FORCE POWERS
  • Max Push, Lightning, Grip, and Repulse
  • Level 2 Saber Throw and Lightning Shield. Each costs six points to unlock rank 3
  • Three spare ranking spheres

FORCE TALENTS
  • Max Fortitude and Resilience
  • Level 2 Force Focus, Defense Mastery, and Combo mastery, each of which cost 2 points to upgrade
  • Level 2 Force Affinity, Vitality, Battle Meditation and Saber Master, each of which cost 3 points to upgrade
  • 3 spare ranking spheres

FORCE COMBOS
  • Most combos unlocked
  • Aerial Strike is locked, can be purchased for 3 points
  • Aerial Blast, Aerial Shock, Aerial Throw, and Aerial Slam are all locked, purchased for 2 points
  • 3 spare ranking spheres

The Force powers cannot be upgraded until later, so leave them be. Upgrade Defense Matery immediately under talents, and purchase Aerial Strike with your combo spheres.

Alright, back out of your menus and come crashing down onto the landing platform. You'll be falling in a straight line, unable to alter your course, unless you double-jumped off the edge of the Rogue Shadow's hatch, which you probably did not because I didn't tell you you could do it until now.

Right after you land, you'll find yourself surrounded by Stormtroopers. Run into the middle of a group and pull of a repulse, which should significantly reduce their numbers. The real threat here is the incinerator trooper, who can kill you real quick if you don't pay attention. Talke down his shiel, then toss him off the edge. The rest are quick work. After the landing pad is clear, some jetpack troopers will com harass you. Sustained lightning will overload their jetpacks, or a Lightning Bomb combo will knock them out of the sky.

After you've killed the jetpacks, move up the walkway. A few Stormtrooper commanders and a veritable army of Shadow Troopers wait for you here. Repulse works nicely. After you deal with those, a lone Purge Trooper guards the gates. Kill him with lightning. Kota will tell you to open the doors with the Force. Target one of the huge lightsabers, and move it up until it stops moving. Move the other one up also, and the gates should open.

Go forward, and you'll find your path blocked by a fallen staue. Kill the trooper garrison in the room. You now have a choice of going either left or right. For the purposes of this guide, we'll head through the door on the right first. Grip the dorr, pull it all the way to the top, then run through while it closes. Drop down the hole, and enter the next room. Kota will tell you about training droids, and the door will lock. This area might seem hard, but it's actually quite easy. Ignore the droids, but destroy the large statues on the round level. After all of those are destroyed, jump up to the second level and destroy the smaller statues up there. 4 large and 4 small in total. Once they're all destroyed, the droids will shut down without a need to fight. Do it in under 2 minutes and you get an achievement.

Head through the door that just opened, go through the hallway, and you'll find yourself on an open platform. A few jetpack troopers will challenge you, but lightning makes quick work of them. Look to your right-- there is a giant glowing blue bridge. Grab it with grip, and pull it upwards. Once you get it high enough a small curtscene will trigger. As soon as you get it in plce, turn around and head back the way you came.

Head back through the first oom you were in, but this time head to the left door. blow the rubble blocking it apart with a Force Push, then head on through. Jump through the columns, then lift open the door and head into the next room.

There is significantly more resistance here than you have encountered before. Luckily you have what is probably the single most dangerous weapon in the entire game here. Head to the center of the room, and you'll see a giant model of planets. Use grip to grab the giant globe in the center, then fling it at your enemies. It flies with remarkable Force, and is always a one-hit kill, even on Purge Troopers. Fling that about a bit and it should wipe out most of the Imperials in the room. Finish off the stragglers with your saber or Force Powers.

Head out through the ground-level exit, jump over the platforms and down the hole. You'll find yourself on another platform, similar to before. Shoot a coupl Force Pushes at the glowing blue sections in front of you to see the statue fall, then turn around and head back. You'll face some snipers and Purge Troopers in the globe room again, bu the giant globe makes quick work of them.

Head back to the first room you encountered in the temple. Your way across should now be clear. Do a double-jump dash to clear the gap, then head through the odd blue veil. The game will load for a bit, then put you in a hallway. Run forward through the hallway towards the blue holocron for a fun cutscene with Kento Marek, who will tell you to take the Trials- which are patheticall easy.

Your job is just to move the blue ball along the track using Force grip. Grab it with R, and just keep it on the tracks. There are three tracks total. The camera does you no favors here, and the grip controls are maddeningly imprecise, but it shouldn't be too hard- just talke thigs slow.

After you clear the grip trials, next you have to make some sort odd spirit walkway. Grab the blue-ish platforms, and drag them into the bluish-mist, which will solidify them, allowing you to cross. Just keep solidifying platforms until you'v crossed all the bridges. At the end of this segment, you get to face the boss, Dark Starkiller. Which is actually just the costume you get for beating the game repurposed :|

Dark Starkiller

Dark Starkiller isn't so bad, except for a nasty tendency he has of randomly re-mapping your controls, which is, and always has been, a bullshit game mechanic and way to add artifical challenge when the developers can't think of a way to legitimately challenge the player. The first phase of this fight just has you two knocking away at each other's health deathmatch-style. ONce his health gets below 3/4's, you can initiate a QTE. Don't bother whaling away on him past the point the QTE triggers, his health will automatically reset to three quarters for the next phase.

After that first QTE, we have the "You dodge stuff the boss throws at you" phase. You stand on the platform, and Dark Starkiller will throw rocks at you. The easiest way to avoid this is to grab the rocks before he does. He will summon four rocks at once to throw t you. He'll always grab the one on his right side first-your left, looking at him. Pick that up with Force grip and smash it into the other rocks. You can tell which one he's about to throw at you by the aura around it. try and grab it before he does and throw it at him. After all four of his rocks are gone, he will teleport to your platform and do a repulse, get out of range, then hit him with some lightning if you can, before he teleports away. He will repeat this process untill the entire platform is destroyed, at which point you both drop down another tier and get back to Lightsaber dueling.

This is just a drop-down, drag-out fight between you and your dark self. He still has the annoying controller inversion attack, but now he also has an attack where he forms a whrilwind of ice crystals around you that you need to mash the push button to evade. I've personally never broken out of it, but I presume it is possible. Dark Starkiller will also, turn into Light-Starkiller at points (The costume you unlock for beating the Light-Side ending). Light Starkiller can take damage, but has an annoying attack where he leeches your health. Light Starkiller is pretty vulnerable to lightning, so I suggest using that.

Knock Dark Starkiller's health low enough, and you can trigger the finishing QTE. However, you CAN'T trigger the QTE when he's transformed into Light Starkiller, so wait for him to go back to his Dark form before trying to initiate it. Finsih the fight with the button sequence of X,X,A on 360, or Square, Square, X on PS3.

Holocrons

  1. As soon as you enter the first room in the temple, turn left immediately. Hidden in that corner is a holocron containing a Force Power Sphere.
  2. After entering the temple, head forward through the room. The holocron is on the right side of the broken bridge. Force Talent Sphere.
  3. On the upper floor of the training room. Force Talent Sphere
  4. As you backtrack from raising the bridge, the floor of the training room will open to reveal some interrogation droids. Drop down into the pit they came from to claim a holocron with a Force Power Sphere
  5. In the globe room, as son as you enter, jump off of the left ide of the stairs. A holocron is hidden in that little nook with a Force Talent Sphere.
  6. In the room with the large floating globes. Grip the largest one out of the center and fling it somewhere. There was a holocron hidden by the globe, floating in mid-air. Jump up to snag a Force Power Sphere
  7. In the globe room, head to the opposite end from the entrace. There's a large statue in a room, surrounded by stained-glass windows. Use grip on the statue and lift it up to reveal a holocron hidden under the base containing a Force Combo Sphere.
  8. After exiting the globe room, jump over the hole instead of down it for a holocron containing a Force Power Sphere
  9. As you cross the bridge in the first room, he holocron is directly in your path IMpossible to miss, with a Force Combo Sphere
  10. After the grip trials with the ball, floating above the little spirit walkway. Grab the platform floating off to the left, and drag it into the ether so it solidifies, and move it up a bit. Jump on the platform, then up to get the final holocron which ha a Force Combo sphere.

Force Talents

Fortitude
This controls the amount of health that you have on your lifebar. This is handy if you're a fan of staying alive.

Vitality
Leveling this talent allows you to receive more health out of the green orbs dropped when enemies are killed.

Resilience
This controls and lowers the amount of damage taken when enemies attack.

Defense Mastery
This helps you master defense... So it's good. Defense Mastery will greatly increase the amount of blaster fire you deflect automatically, and by level 3 you will deflect most of it back at your enemies automatically. My suggestion is that you level this up early on in the game so when the enemies that use rockets and grenades start showing up, you are well prepared.

Saber Mastery
This talent increases the damage you deal with your basic lightsaber attacks. This talent is probably worth investing a point or two in for boss battles where your Force Powers are restricted.

Combo Mastery
Supposedly decreases the amount of Force energy it takes to use Force combos. This talent has no noticeable effect; suggest passing it up.

Force Affinity
This talent will increase the amount of Force energy you have, allowing you to use more powers before the bar depletes. Useful, but not vital.

Force Focus
This talent allows your Force energy to regenerate much faster

Battle Meditation
Battle Meditation, a reference to Bastila Shan from the KOTOR games, allows your powers to charge much quicker. this only applies to powers that CAN charge, such as Force Push, Force Repulse, Lightning Shield, and Saber Throw. Okay, so it applies to everything except Lightning, but TFU is so fast paced that you rarely have time to charge your powers in a heated combat situation, making this probably one of the ast talents you should upgrade.

Achievement Glitch

There is a way to use the cheats marked with asterisks* and still be able to save and gain achievements. It should be noted however, that the LIGHTSABER code is immune to this glitch, and can never be saved. Everything else should still remain.

  1. Enter you code(s)
  2. Play up to a known checkpoint (the icon won't show, but as long as you're sure you've passed a checkpoint you're good)
  3. Die
  4. Respawn, the press start and choose "Exit to main menu"
  5. Select continue
  6. Manually save your game from the start menu
  7. Quit out to the 360 Dashboard
  8. Reload the game, select continue, and all your cheat stats should still be there, as well as the ability to save and get achievements.
I have tested this method myself, and I can say 100% that it does work, as I have gotten achievements on saves with cheat stats.

Future Changes

We are aware that there are a few holes still in here, and this is the list of what will be added or is planned to be added soon. However... we're kinda exhausted right now, so maybe wait a bit.
  • Improve Kazadan Paratus strategies
  • Fill in section after PROXY but before Star Destroyer
  • Add a dedicated Easter egg section with instructions on how to find them
  • We're updating to include DLC as it releases.
  • Information on how to achieve bonus objectives on levels
