Introduction

This is my first guide I've ever made, so I'll try make it good. If you've played Animal Crossing: Wild World (or really any other game in the series) but have got bored trying to earn million of bells or trying to get the most out of the game, this guide is for you! Whether you're still playing AC:WW, going back to the game after a while or just picking it up for the first time, this guide will help you become rich!
This is how I did things in the game. There may be other methods, but this worked for me.

About My Game

I got Animal Crossing: Wild World on the day it came out after playing Animal Crossing on the Gamecube. On the GC version, I played vigorously for a month or two, but then got bored. Upon playing the DS game however, the gameplay tweaks made the game so much easier to play. Navigating menus with the stylus and being able to save the game at any time by pressing 'start'. This let me continue playing past the amount of time that it took for me to get annoyed by the GC game. Eventually I got to a point where I had played for a full year, then 2 and now I'm half way through year 3 (I think...). After about a year I thought; "Wow, I'm still playing this game...I've got so far into this and put so much time into it to stop now! I can't bring myself to stop, it would mean I had wasted all that time. And so, I am here now on Giant Bomb. I see the new guide feature and think; "I want to make a guide for something, but what?" I thought what games am I good at? I thought Legend of Zelda OOT at first, but thought that would take ages to write a whole guide for. So I thought Animal Crossing...

Money, Money, Money!

This section of the guide will help you to earn hundreds, thousands and millions of bells on Animal Crossing: Wild World with no cheats. Warning - Effort and time is required, but if you work hard, you will get everything there is and more!

Getting Started

If you have friends who own the game, that will make the money making process far easier and faster. Find friends who have different fruit to yours in their town, or if they are no longer playing their game, ask them to restart to get a different type of fruit. It also helps if you have the main items in the game, such as the shovel, watering can etc.

Final Preparations

First things first, gather a lot of fruit, of all the different kinds. Go around your town and chop down some plain trees. Plant some fruit in the holes left by these trees. Planting in place of another tree ensures that it is fertile ground and that the fruit will grown into a fruit tree. Also it makes it so that there is still a reasonable number of trees in your town, but you can plant some in new spaces, just don't get too carried away, as this will affect your town rating, and make it hard to get around. Plus, it looks a mess!. If all you care about is maximum profit and don't mind extra work, plant everywhere you can if you really want. Also, collect all coconuts that get washed up on your beach and plant them just above your sandy part of your beach, as shown on this image:
This is where to plant coconuts to ensure that they grow.

Main Income

Now it's time to earn the big money. Wait until all of your new trees have grown and grown fruit on them (this will take 3 days). If you want to go crazy and get lots of money as quickly as possible and have loads of time, pick all of your fruit and sell it to Nook. Or alternatively (as I did) in your mind split your town into three sections. This is how I split mine:

My Town in 3 sections for fruit picking. Black box = my house
My Town in 3 sections for fruit picking. Black box = my house

Then, on the first day I picked all of the fruit in section A of my town and sold it to Nook. The next day I did section B and then the next day, part C. The next day, all the fruit in section A had re-grown and I continued doing this cycle everyday. To pick the fruit, I recommend dropping all of your items outside your house or attaching them to letters and carrying them with you. This way, if you happen to find a UFO or a rare fish or bug, you can still get them with your items whilst keeping maximum space open for fruit picking. Also I recommend watching TV or listening to music when doing this routine or you will get bored. It also helps to have a routine of when to do it. I always did my homework as soon as I got in from school and then did this fruit picking process whilst watching Deal or no Deal on TV. This way I never forgot to do it and I kept entertained. (You can substitute your choice of media if you don't like Deal or no Deal!)

This method earns you lots of money because your towns native fruit earns you 100 bells per piece and other fruit (inc coconuts) earns you 500 bells a piece.  Through this I earned just over 100,000 bells a week.

Extra Money

If you want extra money to go along with your 100K a week, I recommend doing these things:

Magic Rocks

Everyday, one rock in your town will become 'magic'. Go up to any rock and dig a hole behind you and one to the left or right of you with your shovel. Do not dig the holes on both sides of you for reasons I will explain in a minute. This should result in you being mostly encircled by two holes and the rock. Aim yourself at the rock so that when you hit it with your shovel, the recoil with push you towards the two holes. Now tap 'A' repeatedly and rapidly to hit it with your shovel over and over again. If money bags come out, continue to hit the rock until it stops giving out money because the maximum amount of money it has inside it has been given out, or there is no more room for money on the floor. If you had dug 3 holes, there would be less room on the floor for money to land. If there was no money given out, fill in the holes and move on to another rock in your town. Repeat this process everyday for up to 8,500 bells a day.

Fossils

Everyday, there will be 3 fossils buried in your town, marked by a brown 'star-like' symbol. If there aren't 3, it means that you didn't find all three fossils from the day before. These fossils can be checked at the Museum by Blathers the owl. These fossils can be either donated to the museum or sold for a fairly high price to Tom Nook. The amount Nook will pay for each fossil depends on the part of animal it is. Heads are worth the most (5,000 bells I think) and other fossils (by which I mean not parts of animals, but things like dino droppings, ambers and ammonites) are worth the least. This is a way to earn between 5,000 and 15,000 bells a day.

Turnips

Every Sunday, Joan the turnip lady, will visit your town and leave at midday. From her, you can buy white and red turnips. White turnips can be bought for a random price. It is good to buy hundreds if you want to make real money. Every day, except Sundays, Tom Nook has a random price that he will buy turnips at. This can range from around 80 bells to (extremely rarely) a few hundred bells per turnip. Once my turnip selling price was 490 bells per turnip. However I didn't actually have any to sell! Once I did sell a few hundred 99 bell turnips for about 200 bells each. However, I do not regularly invest in white turnips because I can't be bothered with the risk for what may be a relatively small profit. However, dealing in red turnips is a great way to make constant money. When talking to Joan about red turnips she will tell you that she only has one pack of red turnip seeds left, but will sell them to you for 1000 bells. This may seem high compared to white turnips, but, if you plant the turnip and water it every day for a week with your watering can, it will grow in size and by Saturday, it will be worth a whopping 16,000 bells! That's 15,000 bells profit! Looking after it should be no problem if you go on the game every day anyway to collect fruit!

Fish & Insects

With a fishing rod and a bug catching net, you can catch different types of animals in Animal Crossing. Some types are common and are worth little money when sold to Tom Nook, wheras some others are worth more.  So depending on the fish or bug, different amounts of money can be made by selling them, but if you only need a small amount of money, this is an effective way of building your collection and earning some money. If you can catch every type of fish or bug you get the golden fishing rod and bug catching net respectively. These fish are also able to be donated to the Museum.

Shells

Shells that are found along your beaches in your town can also be sold to Tom Nook for varying amounts of money. Corals and conch shells can be sold for the most money (about 450 bells, I think) and other shells are fairly useless in terms of money. However when you are trying to fish for money, it may be a good idea to collect shells as well. This will earn you a little bit of extra money.

Junk Sale

If you're the typ of person (like me) who collects any item they think they could even possibly want in the future and stores it in their cupboards in your house, this one's for you. Every few months, look through your cupboards and wardrobes and sell anything that you don't need. I still kept all my important items (such as stuff from the UFO, Pascal and other events) but get rid of some costumes you never wera and can order from Nook if you ever want them again or duplicates of wallpapers and carpets from Saharah. Also, you could try selling these items to any friends willing enough to pay for them. This frees up valuable wardrobe space and gets you some cash. If you're feeling extra mean, tell your friends that the item is worth more than it is and charge more for it (if you care more about money than friends). Be careful with this though as they could look up its price in Nook's catalogue and get angry!

Conclusion

So, if you go do a circuit of your  town each day, gathering fruit, digging up fossils and doing other miscellaneous tasks, you'll soon rack up enough money to pay off your mortgage and buy anything you desire. I stopped gathering my fruit  soon after I paid off my final mortgage, as I didn't need too much extra cash. I got about 1,000,000 bells (enough to buy a crown if one ever showed up in my town) and stopped. But you can carry this out as long as you wish. I still dig up my 3 fossils a day to earn money and buy red turnips to earn my millions!
