Introduction

Welcome to the Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned guide. This should cover everything there is to do in this expansion pack in pretty good detail. As always, comments are appreciated if something is missing.

Pictures are in serious demand for this guide, and I'm not exactly equipped to capture them. PM me if you're interested in helping.

The Lost MC

The Lost is a wide-reaching biker gang that is present across all of Liberty City. Johnny is a member of the Alderney Chapter. Luckily, this means right from the get-go Johnny has friends and access to their abilities- something Niko had to slave away for. You can, however, still do social events with these guys if you want.

Johnny has a unique bike- white, painted with blue stripes. This is probably the easiest handling bike in the game, and it is unique. Don't worry if you lose it though, it has a habit of reappearing, either by the Lost clubhouse, or sometimes you'll start off a mission on it. It is a good idea to try and keep track of it, but don't freak out if it gets misplaced.

There's also a new toughness system, which determines how useful your gang members are in gunfights. Essentially, for every mission they survive, your gang members get tougher. These include story missions and Turf Wars. At any time, you can press down on the dpad to see the details of your current gang members. The bar indicates their toughness, and fills from left to right.

Jim

Jim is Johnny's best friend in the Lost, but he's got a wife and kids, and the lifestyle doesn't really fit anymore. Jim will often provide you with information or advice on jobs. You can phone Jim at any time to have him leave you a fully loaded weapon to the second floor of the clubhouse. As you unlock more of the new weapons in the expansion, Jim will be able to deliver more.

Terry

Terry is another member of the Lost. You can call him at any time and he'll bring you a van loaded with weapons and armor- this is the only place to purchase the new weapons in the expansion (you'll need to pass a certain point in the story before he starts selling them though). Terry sells at a decent discount- the same one Little Jacob gave Niko in the main game.

After a certain point in the story, Terry can also be called at any time to back you up, even on missions.

Clay

Clay goes with Terry- they're kind of a duo I guess. Instead of selling guns, you can call Clay at any time and he will deliver a bike of your choosing to your current location, for free. Never be without a ride again.

Like Terry, Clay can be called in as backup after you pass a certain story marker.

Angus

Angus is the guy in the wheelchair you see in the opening cinematic. He's your primary contact for stealing bikes. You can often call him and he'll comment on events in the story.

New Weapons

There are several new weapons in Lost and Damned. Most of them you will acquire at a certain point in the story automatically. However, they each have some unique quirks you should be aware of.

  • Sawed Off Shotgun- This shotgun can be fired from your motorcycle, does a ton of damage, but is wildly inaccurate. It has a clip size of two before you need to reload.
  • Machine Pistol- This functions almost exactly like an SMG, but it's slightly more accurate and has a smaller clip size.
  • Grenade Launcher- This goes in your Rocket Launcher slot, so you can't haveboth an RPG and a grenade launcher, sadly :(
  • Pipe Bombs- These are like grenades, but are slightly more powerful. In addition, pipe bombs will automatically explode if a car drives over them
  • Automatic Shotgun- This thing is a beast, capable of unloading six shotgun shells in about two seconds. Thing will shred cars like paper, but using it on people is generally overkill. It is fun though. The auto shotgun can't be used from the back of a bike.
  • Pool Cue- It's a pool cue. Smack people with it.

New Music

In addition to the new weapons, some radio stations have had songs and DJ talk added. Credit for this list goes to OneEyedNinja7, who posted it on the forums, I just jacked it from there.

Story Walkthrough

Quite honestly, there's not much to guide about in GTA's missions. They're generally go to point A, kill guy B, flee from cops. Rinse, repeat. This walkthrough will attempt to help you out anyways on some of the harder missions, but there's only so much I can tell you.

Billy Missions

...Clean and Serene

After liberating Billy from rehab, your first task is to drive him back to the clubhouse. This is easy enough, and mostly a chance for you to get a hang of the bike controls- you'll be almost exclusively driving bikes for he expansion, so it's a good idea to practice your driving if you can't handle very well. A new feature for this expansion is your gang members- they'll be riding convoy behind you- it's not a big deal here, but you should get used to it, as you'll often either be leading a convoy or riding in one over the course of the game. Just follow the GPS path back to the Lost clubhouse to trigger a cutscene.

Bill is pissed, and wants his bike back. Unfortunately, it's not in Johnny's possession. Instead of kicking back and enjoying his newfound freedom, Billy just wants his bike back. First order of business is to head to the chop shop where Billy's bike should be. However, after driving there, you'll find out the Angels of Death have got it now. This does not please Billy, but he's gonna get it back regardless. Get on your chopper and head over to the location marked on your map.

This area is full of Angels of Death members. Your only weapon is a sawed-off shotgun, but that will do just fine. The area has several exploding barrels which can be shot to kill AOD members- but be careful, as you can just as easily blow yourself up if you're inattentive. Either hop off your bike, hide behind cover and chip away at the AOD, or you can drive around and shoot the shotgun from the back of your bike- which is probably more fun, but a lot harder and more dangerous.

After the Angels are dead, you have to ride back to the clubhouse. This is your introduction to convoy riding in the Lost and Damned. You can't just book it back to the waypoint. When convoy riding, you need to stay behind the leader and follow him. A Lost MC logo will appear on the pavement occasionally- drive into and stay within this insignia for about a second to heal yourself a little bit and hear some dialouge. It's not much, but it does make convoy riding a bit more interesting.

Once you've made it back to the clubhouse the mission ends.

Angels In America

Deadbeat mother-fuckers crashed your party. Chase them down, and shoot them off their bikes with your sawn-off shotgun. You know how to do drive-bys, having spent a large portion of the original game doing exactly that. The sawn-off isn't very accurate though, so you'll need to get pretty close to kill these guys. You have plenty of ammo though, so don't worry about that. After all the deadbeats are dead, Johnny will dial Billy. Go meet up with Billy where he asks, and the mission ends.

It's War

Wow, it's time to go kill some more Angels of Death. How. Original. The missions do get more varied and fun later on, but you're going to have to suffer through some monotony here at the beginning.

Follow Billy to the first waypoint, dismount your bike and kill some deadbeats. Once those are all dead hop on your bike and follow Billy to the second waypoint, where a considerably bigger fight awaits. There's some body armor in the house-like structure with two Angels in it, and a health pack on the ground behind a refuse pile if you need help. Murder all the Angels here, head back to your bike, and the mission ends with some news from our good friend Niko.

Action/Reaction

Here's another little intersection with the main game- Ray Boccino is back. But instead of diamonds, he's selling the Lost grenade launchers. Which, in my opinion, is a far worthier cause. After the cutscene ride convoy with Billy and the gang for a bit. Eventually, Johnny will ask if the guys want to "Drop the hammer", which means race to the destination. Your buddies will accept, and a waypoint will appear for you to head to. Doesn't really matter if you get there first, except for bragging rights.

Once you arrive, Billy will give you a grenade launcher. Aim and launch a grenade through the clubhouse window. This will send a huge stream of AOD out of the clubhouse to fight you. Using the grenade launcher here is recommended, as the enemies tend to cluster. Some vans and bikers will show up as reinforcements after a bit- if you hit a van with the grenade laucher, it'll make a huge explosion. Just stay behind cover and wipe out the deadbeats. Once everyone is down, collect their ammo and enter the clubhouse- the doors are on the street, not up the stairs the enemies came from.

The first room is a bar with about four enemies. Post up on the wall opposite Billy, and take out your shotgun. It makes quick work of his room- be sure to get the guy hiding behind the bar. The exit from the bar room leads to some stairs; a man on fire will come down from upstairs- definitely not the way to go. Instead head down and kill the three enemies there. A cutscene will trigger, and it's tme to clear out. Once you have control back, run out of the house and get on your bike. Drive away quickly or the cops will arrive and you'll acquire a wanted level. Mission ends when you make it a few blocks away from the clubhouse.

This Shit's Cursed

That heroin the Lost picked up off of the Angels has been nothing but trouble, and this is no exception. Turns out that heroin belonged to the Chinese (who actually brought it in on the Platypus, the same ship Niko came in on), and they want it back. Johnny and Jim convince Billy to deal, but he's still suspicious. Head off to the meet with Billy, Brian, and Jim. When you arrive, Johnny and Jim head into the building, with Brian and Billy staying behind for "backup". The deal goes bad, but Brian and Billy are nowhere to be seen with your backup. Follow Jim across the rooftops, shooting any Triads who get in your way. When you get to the area with the ladders, remember it's Y to climb down. Make it to the front of the building to see some cops arrive and take down Billy. Johnny will dial Brian, who is pissed off. Go meet Brian by your bikes, then hightail it back to the clubhouse.

Jim Missions

Liberty City Choppers

Jim wants you to help him go steal some bikes from the Angels of Death. I guess the game is finally living up to it's title. Drive to the first waypoint with Jim, and get in the ruck there. Drive the truck to the second waypoint and get out. Hop on one of the bikes and drive it onto the truck. At this point, you'll come under attack from some Angels of Death members. Jim will tell you to call Terry or Clay for backup. Stay behind cover, pull up your phone, choose Terry or Clay, and choose the "backup" option. After a short conversation, they should arrive.

Your job is to load four of the bikes into the back of the truck. You can either wipe out all of the deadbeats, or you can run into fire and take the bike and drive it to the truck if you don't want to get into a protracted firefight. Regardless of your approach, once four bikes are in the back of the truck, you are done there. Get in the truck and had out. t's not that easy however, as it appears the Angels really want their bikes back. A few enemies on bikes will come after you, but your truck is armored pretty well, so they're a negligible threat. Follow the GPS, and after a point your tail will peel off, afraid of pursuing you into Lost territory.

Drive the truck back to the waypoint- the same spot where you got the truck from in the beginning. Turns out it wasn't a great idea to steal those bikes after all. However, you won't have to deal with that until the next mission.

Bad Cop Drop

Time to get back at those cops that tried to blackmail you last mission. Jim will hand you an automatic pistol- one of the new expansion weapons. Race him to the cops. Jim will punch one of them to piss them off, and they'll start chasing you in their car. They'll stick to you regardless of how fast you're going, but if you hold B you can get a view from their car seeing how close they are. This also lets you listen to their conversation, which is a nice touch.

Head to the Acter Industrial Park. This area might seem familiar if you've played GTA's online co-op, the Deal Breaker mission (also dealing with the Lost) takes place here. Once you arrive at the ambush site, get off your bike and get behind cover. Your dirty cops will come rolling in, unfortunately followed by about three more cars full of cops. Aim for headshots with the machine pistol, and the exploding barrels scattered around. If you've already got a rocket launcher, that considerably expedites the process.

Once all of the cops are dead, Jim will have a short talk with you. After that, get on your bike and clear out of the wanted zone to end the mission.

Hit The Pipe

PIPE BOMBS HERE!
PIPE BOMBS HERE!
Malc has 25 pipe bombs for you to go take out three Angels of Death vans. Pipe bombs can be "cooked" just like grenades, but unlike grenades, a pipe bomb will explode immediately if a car runs over it, regardless of the fuse. So that makes the best strategy for this mission to drive out in front of an AOD van, and toss a pipe bomb so the van runs it over. Johnny will always toos pipe bombs slightly to his left, so keep that in mind when aiming.

There are three vans you need to blow up, and they're always on the move. They'll speed up when they see you, so try and get the jump on them if you can.

With Billy gone, Johnny takes over as chapter president. After this mission, you can now phone Terry or Clay at any time for backup.

End of Chapter

After how things went bad with Billy, turns out Brian wants to make a deal. If you've got half a brain you know Brian doesn't want to make a deal, so come equipped. After hurling some insults at each other, Brian and his guys will jump Johnny, kicking off a fight. The bikers will circle around while you're in cover, and are easily enough killed with an explosive or a shotgun. After you deal with the bikers, a bunch of cars will start flooding into the street. Brian's got a lot of backup. Exploding the cars with the sawn-off shotgun is probably your best bet, but you could also stay behind cover and try to pick off the guys as they get out of the cars.

After withstanding the wave of vans, a new wave will start coming over the wall to your left. These guys come over on foot and start attacking. Once they're dead, a few of Brian's guys will take off on bikes. Get on your Hexer and chase them down. Once they're all dead, go meet up with Jim, wherever he's at.

Bad Standing

Hey! It's our old friend Ray from the main game! And he knows where Brian is! CONVENIENT!

You'll be rolling solo on this one at the beginning, but you should call Terry or Clay right away and they'll come join you. Brian is quite far south from the mission start point, so best get cruising. When you reach the house, you'll be given two options. You can launch a grenade through the window to flush out the occupants while Terry and Clay cover the back, or you can go in guns blazing.

If you choose to go with the grenade option, aim for the window on the far right, second floor. Shooting a grenade or rocket through that window will set the house on fire and send Brian's buddies flooding out of the house. Terry and Clay will open up on the guys coming out, but you need to head around back and help them kill Brian's buddies as they run out of the house. Splatter Brian's brains on the grass as he makes a run for his bike, then get clear of the safehouse before the cops arrive.

If you choose the more personal approach of storming the house, it is pretty well guarded- at least a dozen enemies are helping Brian, and they have good cover. The shotgun or machine pistol will work best to clear the house. Once you reach the second floor and fight through to Brian, you have the choice of sparing him or letting him live, same way you did with some of Niko's enemies. Your decision here has no impact on the rest of the campaign.

Stubbs Missions

After you complete the first two Stubbs missions and get past a certain point in the story (no spoilers), Stubbs will phone you and say he has work. You can call him at any time and select the "Job" option to take on one of these optional missions. These are marked with asterisks*

Politics

DIGITAL WANG!

But srs. This mission isn't bad. Stubbs wants you to assassinate his uncle, who's coming in to the airport shortly. He'll give you a rocket launcher with five rockets (Which will replace your grenade launcher, if you still have it). There's a time limit for getting to the airport, but it's quite forgiving, so that shouldn't be a problem as long as you go straight there. Once you get to the airport, you'll realize this guy is pretty heavily protected. You have the option of either taking out the chopper as it lands, or hitting the convoy as it exits the airport.
  1. Blowing up the helicopter as it lands: If you don't want to get raped by the guards at the checkpoint, drive North a bit and turn right where the wall ends- you can drive right onto the tarmac from the grass over here. Get off your bike, blow up the helicopter, then drive back out the way you came. You still need to lose your wanted level, but it's pretty easy if you stay off road.
  2. Hitting the convoy: This one is much easier, but it will be harder to lose your wanted level. Just head to the checkpoint, then instead of following that road into the airport, turn around and drive straight on that road for a bit. Then get off your bike, take out your rocket launcher, and wait for the conoy to come to you. The car with Stubbs' uncle in it is in the middle.
You'll have to lose your wanted rating (3 or 4 stars). once you lose the cops, the mission ends.

Off Route

Stubbs wants you to jack a prison bus full of white-collar criminals. This is probably the hardest mission in The Lost and Damned, so be prepared for some annoyance. First you need to steal the bus, which is inside a heavily guarded police compound. Easiest way to do this is just drive your bike straight in, hop off, and make a run for the bus. When you make it close enough to the bus, a cutscene showing Johnny taking the bus will play.

Now for the annoying part. You have control of the bus, and a 3-star wanted level. Bus bus isn't terribly manueverable, so your best bet is to try and get to a highway or straightaway and just book it. If you try to stay in the city, with it's twisty streets and common turns, good luck losing the cops. The bus also has a propensity to flip- if it ends up on it's side, use the reverse to get it back on the wheels again. But really, losing the cops here is a giant pain. Don't bother shooting at them, it's little help, and might even raise your wanted level. The bus will provide you plenty of protection.

Once you have finally loost the cops, drive to the rendevous point and drop your passengers off.

Get Lost

Well, after how things went with Ray, Johnny's in deep. Luckily, our old friend Stubbs is good for a favor. He'll call you and ask to meet at your clubhouse. Surely you saw this coming, but it's time to go after Billy Grey. Head over to the Alderney State Correctional Facility. Don't worry about weapons or body armor

This BRO-THER-HOOD is over :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
This BRO-THER-HOOD is over :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
Once you get there, a cutscene triggers and Johnny calls the Lost for backup. Terry, Clay, and some redshirts arrive to help with your assault. Press LB to get FREE weapons and armor from Terry, so load up on everything with full ammo. Back out, and go BLOW UP THe PRISON DOORS WITH THE ROCKET LAUNCHER. There are a ton of guards inside you need to take out, so get busy moving into the courtyard with Terry and Clay. The other Lost members will cover the door to prevent anyone from coming in after you. Head to the left and go through the gap in the fence and around the side of the building, where more guards wait for you.

There's a sniper on top of the building here, so take him out first, then deal with the guys on the ground. Keep moving around the perimeter of the prison, killing anyone in your way. You just loaded up on pipe bombs and rockets, don't be afraid to use them. Enter the recreation yard and keep moving. A cutscene will trigger which shows two annihilator helicopters dropping off reinforcements. There are several snipers up in the big tower who can hit you behind cover, so you should take them out first. Then deal with the guys on the ground- pipe bombs work well if you can aim them right.

Stay behind cover and keep shooting cops until they're all dead. Johnny will say something like: "I'm gonna go take out Billy, bring the bikes around so we can get out". A new red dot will appear on your map marking Billy's location. Head to it, dealing with any cops you encounter on your way. Put a bullet in Billy, then head back to Terry and Clay and get on your bike. Terry and Clay will take off, just follow them on out. The cops should be negligible while you're making your escape.

As soon as you exit the prison your wanted level will magically disappear- probably due to the prison break that's occuring. Maybe Gerry is reuniting with his family thanks to Johnny. Or maybe he just let out a bunch of murderers and serial rapists. Either way, Billy is dead.  Lead the gang back to the clubhouse to say a bitter goodbye to The Lost.

First Impressions*

Stubbs needs you to go deal with a friend of his at the Superstar Cafe. Walk in and listen to a sleazy conversation between him and his intern you need to take out the man at the table, but the whole place is full of bodyguards. You could be subtle, but really the best strategy here is just to walk up onto the stairs, then rain death down on the bar with an automatic shotgun or assault rifle. Once the target is dead, just get in a car or on your bike and drive away. You don't need to deal with the bodyguards, but it is recommended. Reward is $1000

Communication Breakdown*

Stubbs wants ou to go meet a contact of his who has some information on his shadier dealings. Head down to Outlook, just North of Hove Beach to meet the contact. There is a time limit on this mission- you have to get to the contact within a few in-game hours. Johnny will get off his vehicle and go talk to the contact in a short cutscene. The contact will try to drive away. As soon as control returns to you, just shred the car with the combat shotgun or rocket launcher, averting a chase. If you fail to take the car out right away, comandeer a nearby vehicle and chase the guy down. Once he's dead, Johnny will call Stubbs and tell him the news. Reward is $1000

When The Chips Are Down*

Stubbs wants you to go rescue a friend of his who contributed to the market meltdowns. TOPICAL! This is actually a pretty fun mission though. She's located over in Alderney. Hightail it over there, where unfortunately, some cops are guarding her. There's nothing for it but to attack the cops to get through into the courtyard where the CEO is. She's handcuffed against the back of the car. Run up to her and press LB to uncuff her (How exactly did Johnny get the key?). She's hop in one of the nearby cars. You get behind the wheel, and she'll instruct you to take her to the Alderney heelipad, which is pretty close. Once there, you have to protect her from the cops while she boards the helicopter. You'll be treated to a short cutscene of the CEO making her escape, then the mission is over and Johnny's wanted level is magically gone. Reward is $1000

Knowing Me, Knowing You*

Stubbs wants you to steal the Deputy Mayor's car and go fit it with surveilance equipment. Head up to the Deputy Mayor's hoouse in North Alderney, and jack his sweet Infernus. It has a car alarm, so wait in his driveway until that stops to avoid attracting the attention of the police. You have a time window from the moment you take the car to the moment you return it, so be quick about things. You can crash the car to high hell on the way to the bugging expert- he'll fix any damage you inflict. But after you get the car fitted with the bugs, you can't scratch it on the way back, or the Deputy Mayor will know someone tookk his car, so be careful on the drive back. You can inflict a tiny bit of damage, but not too much. The game will tell you if you damage the car too much on the way back. Reward is $1000

Phone Ho'*

Stubbs wants you to go take a picture of another Congressman with a hooker. He'll tell you to go to an area where the politician will be. Drive there, and get off your vehicle. You need to get on the roof, so walk into the alle- don't go into the gun store. There's an overturned box you can climb on top of to access the roof. get up there an walk to the vantage point. Johnny will give Stubbs a call, who will tell you to look out for a red Cognescenti. Take out our phone, select the camera option, and wait for the congressman to pull up. You need to take a picture with the hooker in it, so wait until one comes over and snap a pic. Send the picture to Stubbs, and wait for the car to drive away. Reward is $1000

Elizabeta Missions

Buyer's Market

It's your first rendezvous with Niko in The Lost and Damned. Johnny's got to offload the heroin the Lost just stole from The Angels of Death, and Niko's playing backup. You played this mission in the original GTA from Niko's point of view, now it's time to see it from Johnny's. After the cutscene, go meet Brian to pick up the stuff. Then drive to the apartment, but don't park your bike out front. Instead, drive it inside the building on the ground floor. Park it so you can drive it straight out the back door, then get off. Pick up the shotgun that's against the wall, and head up to the third floor.

Deal goes bad, unsurprisingly. Niko and Playboy are heading upstairs, Johnny is heading down. Stay behind cover and shotgun the NOOSE members in the doorway directly ahead of you, then pop out of cover and move to the doorway to your right- the cops will try and flank you by coming through this door. Deal with everyone, pick up their ammo, and head to the stairs. The stairs are easy enough to cover. Two NOOSE members are at the bottom of each flight, another NOOSE is at the top. Shoot down the stairs to kill the guys at the bottom, then turn around and walk down the stairs backwards so as soon as the next guy comes into your view, you can shoot him.

Once you're down to ground floor, head to the back door, and take out your SMG. There will be three cops outside. Take them out quickly, head back inside and get on your bike (Which should still be inside the building). Drive it out the back door (or front, if you prefer), and get back on the streets as quickly as possible. Now it's just a matter of losing your 3-star wanted level.

Heavy Toll

In these troubling economic times you must make compromises. Wise words.

After meeting with Malc and Elizabeta, it's time for your first mission in a car in the Lost and Damned. Crazy huh? Just doesn't feel right. Luckily it's a very short drive to the tollbooths. Hit the yellow arrow and you'll get a short cutscene teaching you how to hijack a tollbooth. Immediately after, you're back in control. Johnny's on foot, and has a sick looking new gun- the automatic shotgun. This baby shreds cars in seconds.

Now even though it's tempting, you don't want to shoot up the convoy as soon as it arrives. Wait for the van to pull up to the toll booth- it's the third car in the convoy. When it pulls up, take out your grenades or pipe bombs. It's imperative that you do not blow up the van here, so cook your explosive, and toss it at the bikes behind the convoy. It should explode and take out the bikers, maybe the car if you got lucky. Your associates will open fire on the passengers in the van as soon as your bomb goes off. The two cars you let through earlier will start shooting you, but the auto shotgun makes quick work of them. When everyone's dead, hop in the van and pick up Malc.

You'll probably have picked up a wanted level, so lose that quickly enough, then go drop the truck off at the designated point. Your bike should be waiting for you once the mission is done.

Marta Full of Grace

This one is a fun mission. You better suit up before taking it on though, as it's quite the fight. Elizabeta asks you to head to the airport and pick up her drug mule. Unfortunatey, when you get there, you'll notice she's been picked up by a federal agent. Johnny, subtle guy he is, assaults this agent in front of a bunch of cops.

When control pops back to you, you have a bunch of cops to wipe out. Your new auto shotgun is a fun toy to use here, but if you want to clear the cops out a bit quicker, an RPG or pipe bomb makes quick work of them. Once all the cops you need to kill are dead- the big red dots on your minimap- grab a nearby vehicle and pick up Marta. You'll probably have a three-star wanted level at this point, so first you have to lose the cops. Once you successfully lose your tail, head to the rendevous point and drop Marta off.

Shifting Weight

This is a great mission. Mostly because the automatic shotgun is glitched and lets you shoot forever without using ammo or needing reloading. Yeah, you heard that right. However, there are going to be a TON of cops, so body armor is a necessity. You might also want to call Terry and Clay before you head to the deal.

This is an on-rails mission, with you riding on the back of Malc's bike while being chased by a veritable army of cops. As soon as the cutscene ends, just hold right trigger and don't let go. You'll start using your automatic shotgun- but you can shoot it forever without needing to reload and it doesn't deplete the ammo. You are about to have a lot of fun. As Malc takes off, your job is to keep everybody alive. Which involves shooting lots and lots of cop cars. Aim for the wheels and the engine to disable them quickly.

Shortly into the mission a helicopter will start following you. Aim towards it with your automatic shotgun and take it down. It should explode spectacularly. There are some other great setpieces on this mission, but I won't ruin them for you. After this there's still a ways to go, with a ton of cops following you. Keep shooting for the engines and try to stay alive. After a certain point, a small cutscene will show you being surrounded by cops. when you get control again, shoot the big windows in front of you and head through the gallery. This is a mid-mission checkpoint, so if you die from here on this is where you will restart.

More shooting, same schtick as before. At some point an annihiltor helicopter comes after you- your auto shotgun will make quick work of it. At a point Malc will hand you 25 pipe bombs and tell you to use them to deal with the cops. Start tossing them- if a cop car runs over one, it will automatically explode. From there on, it's just a matter of time until you make your escape. A cutscene will trigger and the mission will end.

Radical mission is radical.

Ashley Missions

Coming Down

You've heard Ashley referenced a few times in the story so far- you ight have even called her. But this is the moment you get to meet her. Ashley will call you out of the blue and ask for help. This will supercede whatever you are doing, and automatically set a waypoint. Head there- it's the same projects Dwayne lives in, locatd in North Algonquin. Park outside and head into the building. Equip your shotgun and go up the stairs.

The room you're looking for has a sentry posted outside, making it fairly easy to spot. Kill the sentry with the shotgun, then go inside. There are about five guys hiding along the hallway. The shotgun works quite well on these guys also. Once you kill all the enemies in the apartment, a cutscene shows. Walk Ashley out of the building and drive her back to her home.

Roman's Holiday

Hey, it's another one of those times where Lost and Damned intersects with the main GTA story. This time, Ashley owes Dimitri some serious money, and to help her with her debts, she needs ou to go kidnap Roman. Fun fun. Drive over and rendevous with Malc, who will point out you need a car if you want to kidnap someone.

Hop in the car with Malc and head to the gambling den. Drive into the yellow arrow and wait a little while. Roman will come out and a cutscene will trigger. Start driving to the drop spot and have fun listening to the guys abuse Roman. At a point, Roman will get out of the car and try to make a run for it. Get out yourself and point a gun at him, which will make him get back in the car. Make the drop to Dimitri's men and the mission is over.

Ray Missions

Diamond in the Rough

After talking with Ray, you have to go rendezvous with some more Lost members nearby. Zip out to the front of their group to lead the convoy. You can additionally call Terry and Clay for even more backup on this mission. Drive down to the docks with your convoy and observe the deal. When the cutscene ends, ou'll chase two limos with the diamonds. These limos are really fast- it seems to be they're invincible until they reach a certain point where they slow down and are easier to kill. If you can get in front of them, pipe bombs work well, as does the auto shotgun if you can dismount your bike. The best strategy is probably to hold off on shooting until a bit into the mission- aim for the passengers that are shooting at you. After they're dead, you just need to stay on the limos.

Once you blow the limos up, go pick up the diamonds. Johnny will dial Ray, who will tell you to stash the diamonds in two trash bags, both of which will be marked on your map. Head to both of them, Johnny will dial Ashley, and the mission ends.

Collector's Item

This is the museum mission from the main GTA IV, but this time you get to play it from Johnny's perspective.

Once again, text-heavy. So here is a picture of some GUITAR HEROES

You'll get a call from Ray, telling you to head to the museum and meeet up with "Nicky".  You might want to stock up on Rockets and Pipe bombs, as well as some shotgun ammo. Don't worry about health though, as there's a hot dog vendor right outside the museum, and a set of body armor right inside. Once your're set, proceed inside the museum and meet up with Niko. As you nkow, the diamond deal goes bad. But unlike Niko, Johnny gets away with the money. Gun your way forward- the auto shotgun is a good choice here, as well as the assault rifle. Head down the stairs and witness Niko's handiwork, then go through the exit door and down a smaller set of stairs. One guy will roll out from behind a wall and try to kill you, so be prepared.

Before you head outside, take out your Rocket Launcher/ grenade launcher or some pipe bombs. There are a bunch of cars outside you need to deal with. Step out into the sun and start blasting away at cars as quick as you can. If you are fast enough with the rocket launcher you can kill everyone right here. If you're too slow, some of the mafia cars will try to flee and you need to chase them down- your bike will still be where you parked it before entering the museum.

Once you chased down the mafia cars (or killed them all at the beginning), chances are you probably gained a wanted level. Lose the cops, then Johnny will call Jim. Go meet up with Jim and give him the money to complete the mission.

Was It Worth It?

Oh man this is a fun cutscene. Also, some hilariously bad voice acting by Ray at the very end. But still. Crazy stuff goes down.

After the cutscene, you have to go see Ashle. She's over in Alderney so it's a bit of a trip. Luckily there's no one after you, so feel free to take your time. However, after making it into Algonquin, Ashley will call you and tell you Ray sent some hitmen after you. They appear as four red dots on your minimap. It's your job to kill them before they kill you. Your best strategy here is to find a good ambush spot- a narrow alley or a parking lot or something- and get off your bike. Just wait a bit, and the assassins will start rolling in. As soon as they get out of their cars, shred them to pieces. Or, if you're the impatient type, don't even wait for them to get out of the car, and just use pipe bombs or rockets on the cars.

Once you've killed all four cars worth of hitmen, you're back on the road to Ashley's house. She'll suggest you give Stubbs a call, and deliver some bad news.

:(

Here's a bit of plot clarification: If you didn't catch it, when Ashley says Jimmy is dead, he was actually killed by Niko. That mission in main GTA IV where you chase those two Lost bikers through the subway- that's Jim. He's the one that gets hit by the subway train, if I remember correctly.

Turf Wars

There are 25 Turf Wars throughout the city which can be taken on at any time. These are basic squad battles- you and five or so biker buddies up against ten to twenty enemies. Doing these missions is an easy way to rack up money and ammo, in addition to raising the toughness of your gang members- mostly Terry and Clay, who are invincible and never die (There's also an achievement for getting their toughness to 100, which these Turf Wars are extremely useful for).

Races

There are a total of twelve new races available to you in the Lost and Damned. Early on, one of your buddies will give you a call and ask if you want to race. Johnny will automatically accept, and that will mark the race on our map- hit it up whenever. These races are a bit different than the ones that were in the main game however- you can knock your opponents off course- or even off their bikes- by smacking them in the face with a baseball bat. B swings right, while X swings left- hold the button for a stronger blow.

There is an achievement available for knocking 69 riders off their bikes in this mode, so keep that in mind if you want the points. To knock someone off, you need to hold the button down for about a second and a half, otherwise they'll just be knocked off course.

Stealing Bikes

After you pass a certain point in the story, the option to steal bikes will become available. To activate one of these missions, call Angus and choose "Job". There are ten bikes in total to steal for Angus. Just like the theft missions in GTA IV, the amount of money you receive for each bike depends on the amount of damage the bike sustains. The type of bike you need to steal is randomly generated. To take a bike that someone is riding on, you have a few options:
  1. Either hit them with a car hard enough that they fly off, then go get on the bike while it's unoccupied
  2. Gun the occupant off the bike
  3. Point a gun at the occupant, who may dismount and run away
  4. Use the Y button to jack the bike
You'll often have to lose a wanted level after stealing a bike. Return all bikes to the Lost clubhouse to net your reward.

Locations

  1. A Ride In The Park- This bike is being joyridden around Middle Park by a couple of lovers
  2. Delivery Boy's hardship- This bike is being driven around Chinatown by a deliveryboy
  3. Beachcomber- This bike is being driven around on the beach at Firefly Island
  4. Short-Stay Parking- This bike is in a parking garage off the Algonquin island
  5. Stripclub Hog- This bike is at the Triangle Club in Bohan. It's unoccupied, but the owner is nearby and will forcibly eject you if you're not careful
  6. Zorst Fumes- This bike is with a group of Anges of Death on the Alderney freeway. This one is a pain, since the Angels are automatically hostile to you- the only viable option here is to gun the deadbeats off their bikes
  7. Ex-Display- This bike is inside the showroom in Westdyke. You'll automatically obtain a two-star wanted level for stealing it.
  8. Get Off Your High Horse- This bike is in a convoy with a few others on the Eastbourough bride. The best way to deal with these guys is to plow into them full speed with a car, which can usually take all of them out in one go.
  9. Take Out Liquor- Some AOD left the bike outside a liquor store. There are three AOD hanging around next to the bike. Kill them before even trying to jack the bike.
  10. Tatoo Parlor Lament- Thee's a guy cleaning this bike over in Alderney. Point a gun at him and he'll flee, letting you take the bike with no struggle.
