Mythic Map Skull Locations v2

This is a guide to getting all six hidden skulls on the Mythic Maps: Sandbox, Assembly, Orbital, Heretic, Citadel, and Longshore. These skulls have no effect on gameplay (unlike campaign skulls). However, there is a 25 point achievement for finding three of the skulls, meaning an easy 75 points if you get all three. The skulls cannot be accessed without the use of Forge mode.

Even though the description for the Brainpan Vidmaster Challenge says you need to claim all the skulls on the Mythic Maps, getting all three skulls will not give you Brainpan. In order to acquire Brainpan, you will also need the skulls from Longshore, Heretic, and Citadel, not just the skulls from the Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack. Currently Longshore, Heretic, and Citadel are only available with Halo 3: ODST.

The Assembly skull is located in the center of the map, on top of one of the pipes. Go into monitor mode, float up on top of the pipe with the skull on it, then turn back into a player and claim the skull.

The Orbital skull is located in the "pit of death" area, where it is possible to fall to your death. Go to the chasm, enter monitor mode, and float up above the pit. The skull is on a small ledge near the top- it's dark, so look carefully. Float onto the ledge, turn into a player, and edge forward carefully to grab the skull.

Half the fun with the Sandbox skull is getting to it yourself, so if you're a bit more independent, it is located at the base of the silver wall way outside the proper confines of the map. The way to get to it without being killed by the lasers is to build a tunnel in Forge over to the skull, which is harder than it sounds (but quite fun). The lasers come from all directions, so I suggest using the tubes. Of course, if you just want the achievement you can download this map which should spawn you right next to the skull.
