Guild Wars 2 is an online RPG developed by ArenaNet, and continues the subscriptionless business model of the original Guild Wars. The game is set about 250 years after the events of its predecessor in a world devastated by the ancient elder dragons resurfacing after millennia of slumber.

I might be into this, I really enjoy the Guild Wars lore. However, seeing as this is essentially franchise writing I'll wait for the initial response from the community before deciding on a purchase.
I like the new name, makes a lot more sense considering that Ascalon fell at the very begining of the original Guild Wars. Plus it sounds less like the Fall of Reach. But along with Halo, Guild Wars is one of the few games were I really appreciate the lore and backstory, it's definitely ideally suited for being explored in books, etc.
