Hey guys, just a PSA regarding the update which went live earlier today. Y'all should probably download this well before the beta next weekend so you don't get stalled.

Looking around, this should be about 1.4gigs (and over 40k files)

ED: as it seems rather small, I assume there'll be another one as the week progresses.

Anybody wanna go over to my house and start the download while I'm at work?

The client's all new and flashy now too. From the looks of it, it might mean you wont have to log out to change characters now, as the login is in the client.

Yeah! It's now both cool looking and functional instead of just the former.

Though I hope they keep the splash screen, chroma-code and sweeping music. (also we'd be guessing when it comes to swapping characters - though I believe they did say it'd be in for this beta somewhere on their forums)

Just a heads up that they've been slipping new updates every so often. Nothing so big yet, but all added up it might take some time. Make sure to keep opening the client to download the files ready for the BWE!

@Maystack: Yea I just checked my client after not checking since my last post and I have about 1500 files i need to download.

Looks like another update is available. Around 55MB total.

I did the same thing. After looking at some pics on the website I opened up the client to look at it (I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM) and ended up downloading a huge patch.

I have GW2 on my taskbar next to steam, so I inadvertently click it every few days or so. Keeps me up to date with patches though, so I guess my clumsy mouse aim is a good thing.

Just opened the launcher again. Around 11,700 files downloading.
