The Mad King's Clock Tower is the special Halloween event jumping puzzle located in his mad realm. Access it by those nightmare doors found in some starter areas.
I was madly laughing at the screen all morning doing this jumping puzzle. Good thing I had my gemshop Warlock costume to keep me entertained with its costume brawl skills between doomed-to-fail attempts at climbing the Mad King's Clock Tower. Finally beat it though. Only took all morning. T'was a tough cookie, but worth every second of it. Loud involuntary cheering ensued at the end. Just like after beating a tough raid encouter in WoW. Good stuff, if you love to hate yourself.

Here's a video walkthrough with some pointers by some dude. May it steady your step, and keep fat-ass Norn asses from blocking your view and screwing up your next landing. Enjoy!
I'll start by saying that I'm a huge fan of nearly all the jumping puzzles in the game. This piece of shit jumping puzzle is among the most poorly thought out for two reasons: it isn't instanced so you can't even see your character with all the other players around, and the geometry does all sorts of terrible things to the camera. Both of these things would be fine if it wasn't timed, but hey, it's timed.
Failing it is half the rent. With the right attitude, you'll have a great time regardless of the shitty camera. Just laugh it off, and curse the fat-assed Norn in front of you.I'll start by saying that I'm a huge fan of nearly all the jumping puzzles in the game. I completed it 10 times. I wanted to get to an even number. Many of the [BOMB]-ers completed it multiple times too. I know of someone who did it about 8 and a few who did it anywhere form 3-5.

I would ask if you want a cookie, but I think I'll pass given the braggish nature of your comment.
On-topic, I had no idea you could go through those event doors. That being said, I'm playing on Blackrockgate. I don't think I'll even bother trying if the damn thing isn't instanced.

I was just answering the question. Thats what happens when you have a guild full of people who get determined to see if they can get better something(and having addictive personalities help). I think a mouse was lost in the process and maybe a little sanity. However, there is no need to be rude. So how about you keep it to yourself next time and dont even bother with the first sentence. Thanks!
Took me 2 hours but I did it. Feels like a load off my shoulders because I was gonna keep going until I succeeded, no matter how long it took. Doing otherwise would be letting the game win and I'll have none of that, haha.
It was actually pretty fun though and this is the most time I've spent on the game in over 2 weeks.
Many of us in Lincoln Force spent a good many hours on it last night. As @jesterroyal said, after completing it a first time many of us had the strange compulsion to do it again. After you get through it the first time it does get easier since you learn a line to follow, but there is definitely still plenty of frustration due to the timed nature of it. Also, expect plenty of hate if you are a large Norn or Charr.

I beat it on my Ranger and on my Elementalist. Way easier on my Asura Ranger. I LOVE this jumping puzzle. It is hard, fair and totally muscle memory and twitch. People are going bonkers in this thing. Now I just farm the chest on the platform and then rinse and repeat. It's a joy to do.
Jumping puzzles in MMOs and auction houses in Prince of Persia.
WTS [Dagger of Time]x1 pst
I also want to point out. If you go to the screenshot therad albinojerk posted pictures of our firework shenanigans for the dev that created the lion's arch statue. (BTW he picks bat.. not knife). Turns out that bastard also created this jumping puzzle! He knew man.. He knew what we were in for.
On topic, I completed the jumping puzzle 5 times in a row today. I think the beta FoV Test had something to do with it being easier to handle. If you have a widescreen monitor you should look into it. Check it out if you are curious. https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/info/news/FOV-Field-of-View-Changes-Beta-Test/first#post551634

It definitely wasn't that hard. I tried for about an hour, took a break and then did it the third or fourth time after that. It simply requires learning the best route and having some patience. Once you know how to do it, you should be able to do it as many times as you want.
I thought it was a lot of fun, the only problems with it were the amount of time having to wait around to try again and the fact some people insisted on completing it with their norn and charr, which makes the first jump very difficult because of everyone all clogged up together.
i dont know how you guys can do this, im terrible lol
the camera keeps going crazy and everytime i try to adjust i end up being too slow and get swallowed by the green pool
This one isn't too bad. You just have to memorize all the jumps and exactly where you need to go. There's a couple spots where it's very rushed and you cannot hesitate at all, but there's also spots where you can slow down and take your time. Honestly, the Gryphonrook jumping puzzle was way harder (if you didn't cheese your way through).
I don't identify with any of your poll options.

A NIKE-attitude. Just do it.
Coping with uncertainty. You must not want to control everything. It's out of your control sometimes, that's just how it is. Just leap and believe in yourself. If you can do something about it, you will. If not, you'll be lucky - or you'll fall and try again. That's life.
Took about 45 minutes for my first successful run. Totally hated it. I wasn't so bothered about the tall characters as much as I was annoyed by the mob that wouldn't let me see my character most of the time and the more people that failed the easier it got >_>. After I got through it once though I managed to figure out the line to follow and did it with three other characters. No idea why.
Tried it yesterday for about two hours, never got it. I then looked up a tutorial video and slept on it. Somehow the jumping skills of the person in that video seeped into my head and I got it today.
I would definitely recommend people who haven't done it yet watch a video of someone scaling the tower rather than trying to grind it out. There's subtle things you learn, like which platforms to jump on and which platforms you can skip.
That said, I have no desire to ever do that again. Also fuck Charr and Norn players, I couldn't see my poor little asura behind their giant asses. I think I fell on the first platform jump like 30 times because of them.
Practiced it for about 2 hours before I finally got it. So glad I didn't miss the jump into the clock on my first try, dunno if I could've taken it. Since then, though, I've run it a couple more times and now I feel like I'm pretty good at it :D
I've done it once. Took me about 2 hours with breaks. I watched the video on how to do it which was a great help (even though I went another path myself), that way I didn't come across any surprises. Also, I highly recommend listening to relaxing music, chatting with friends and taking breaks. It helps a lot and made the whole experience very enjoyable for me, I actually had a lot of fun with it. I will see about doing it again, I doubt i will.
I did this on all 8 of my toons over a few hours. The easiest by far was my human female ele, air attuned with traits for speed boosts wihle attuned to air which was not wiped by the lack of skills/signets. The norn was also pretty easy (relatively speaking) as I could actually see myself at the beginning. The hardest was my main, poor little asura who was just buried in the pack until about 15 jumps into it. My asura also seemed to be hit with crazy camera zooming/angle issues as well as hitting it's head underneath invisible things, very odd.
Once you get past the "Leap of faith" it gets much easier as you generally have a lot more time and can take it slower. Before that you need to keep moving to avoid being sucked into the mists.
The first time this was hard as hell, but it gets easier and easier as you do it.
My friend and I competed to see who could beat it so many times in a row. I managed to get 11 wins in a row, while my friend beat me at 12 wins in a row. Overall though, I have no idea I have completed it. More than 50 times though, that's for sure.
