Guilty Gear went all 3D and non-fighty. It's functional... 0
Guilty Gear 2: Overture is the third title in the Guilty Gear main series being preceded chronologically by Guilty Gear XX (all of its various updates included). It's not a fighting game though. GG2 isn't even 2D. It's a 3D, 3rd person real-time strategy/MOBA/character action game. It's way less confusing than it sounds. Guilty Gear 2 : Overture : Some kind of bizarre attempt to create a new kind of strategy game.Story : So thousands of years ago there was this big war between humans and this race of monsters that may or may not have relevance in the later plot, but probably does since the game shoves this backstory down our throats some two or three times in the opening sequence. The franchise is now for hand dra...

WTH? 0
Guilty Gear 2 has been released pretty much under the radar. Well, true, the fighting series hasn't been a top-tier series to date, but they always seemed to be enjoyable 2-D fighting games. Not on the level of Street Fighter, but better than most of the other fighting games out there. I can also appreciate a developer's desire to try and branch out their franchise to different genres, but these moves tend to be laden with potholes. When the ONLY remotely successful attempt at this was MK...
