From IGN, Aksys has announced that Guilty Gear Xrd will be released in North America this fall for the PS3 and PS4. The game will be playable at E3.

It's sooner than I expected, so that's awesome. I had feared that it was going to be a 2015 release, but it seems that it's going to be worldwide, or close to it. Only downside is that it's gonna be released pretty close to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. And I don't have a PS4 arcade stick yet.

Cool! Hopefully it won't take forever for it to come to Europe after that.

I recently packed away my PS3 so I guess I'll ring this up as another potential buy when I get a PS4.

Nice I wont have to import it like I planned. Still might though if it drops in the summer in Japan.

I wonder how the PS3 version will play. If there's one game that would make me buy a PS4 down the road, it would be this one (assuming it's the GG I love).

Yay, now I don't have to import it! It kinda sucks that it's soo close to P4AU.

I have that PS4 Hori V4 Arcade stick and I kinda don't recommend importing it if you are super used to Sanwa.

@irrelevantjohn: What does it use? Those hayabusa buttons or whatever HORI made for the Fighting Edge?

Really hoping this isn't a P4A situation all over again. If there is a delay for PAL regions again, hopefully there won't be a region lock this time.

@damodar: The Hayabusa stick is pretty damn good but the buttons are really hit or miss. Basically a cheapo version of the Fighting Edge.

As for game delay, it might happen but not too long though if Arc System Works USA publishes again in Europe. Since ArcSys USA didnt release BBCP hard copy over there, I don't think they will either for Xrd. Might be all digital for Europe.

As long as it is 60 FPS on PS3, I'll pick both titles up there, because getting a new arcade stick (Let alone importing one) doesn't sound great to me at the moment.

HYPE!!! I was thinking that only the Japanese release would be out Fall of 2014. It was a high possibility I was going to get the game 3-4 times between JPN/NA ps3/ps4 releases so saving on two copies is welcome.

Hmm, a fellow duder pointed out that GG Xrd SIGN website says that the game will be out holiday season. So much for fall.

Famitsu leak apparently listing December 4th as the date for Japanese console release now. I imagine NA will still see it by Christmas.

I hope there's some kind of complete edition with the characters the OST, an arcade stick and an art book or some such. :)
