I want this game. It looks gorgeous. I hope it comes out on PC, but I'm going to buy it regardless of platforms chosen. That's about all I have to contribute to this discussion.
Also, can't wait to see Dizzy and I-no. I-no's still around, right? I know she actually dies in an ending, but doesn't she get frozen in some big ass crystal or some shit in a different ending? I dunno, my knowledge, or lack thereof, of the Guilty Gear "story" is slightly more coherent than that of my knowledge of the intricacies of quantum physics.

Well they just got back the GG license so I don't think that's out of the question in future, especially if this next BB is in fact the last one.
i dont see the guard meter on there and i really hope they didnt remove it. that mechanic was really cool and unique.

I doubt it, I remember some time when Ishiwatari and Mori visited London they said it's either never going to happen or it's unlikely because the styles are too different.
Anyway, I'm mega hyped. Those images are so hard to distinguish from 2D or 3D models, I love IT. Almost no ones a bigger fan than Guilty Gear than me ;)

Hope Slayer or Testament make it into one of the loc tests.
From what I see on twitter the XRD location tests will feature 7 characters. I will be really interested in seeing how complex characters like Eddie and Zappa look in this engine. Arcs put out news not only on XRD but on AC also. It appears the +R update will be coming out sometime this August for free. Not quite clear if they will be adding lobbies or support voice chat though. I see no mention of player lobby numbers.
It's not a surprise XRD will have new systems (ie. some sort of clash system) but it looks like it's keeping a lot of the old ones which is nice. No FRCs though, which I have mixed feelings on. I liked the freedom it gave you to cancel special moves and invent new ideas for 25% tension (normal RC's take 50%). But the very strict timing on some of them meant only the most devote GG players could get the most out of some characters.
In the end XRD looks to have no come back mechanics (ie. X factor) and still maintains one button throws so that's a great sign.

@mikefightnight: On SRK there was a bullet point that said "Lobby Screen Sound and Vibration Additions – When a new player enters the room, sound effect and controller vibration notice functions have been added."
So maybe? Mic support is nowhere to be seen though...
EDIT: As for Xrd, I'm pretty upset that Lighting Strike is not on the move set for Ky.

Also you are more optimistic then me on lobby support for AC John. i think if they had it they would of published how many people can be in a lobby. Two people playing is still technically a lobby. If one person left in AC you would be kicked out to the main menu. But with the +R update, not any more! Oh yeah, you get a nice controller rumble letting you know when someone enters the room too! BEST NEW FEATURE IMO!

@casper_: I can understand why anyone who liked his old design would be bummed, since that's a pretty radical change. I was never a fan of his old design though, so while it's still not my favorite I like it a bit more.
I'm actually more bummed out by Millia's. I don't like that hat. :/

Character select screen doesn't look like it will fit many more characters but hopefully they will redesign it.
If this is the screen he's talking about it looks like it could fit a crapload of characters to me.
The only problem is the proximity of Sol to the character roster. You would only be able to add two more characters to the top row comfortably before you started having stuff overlap.
@starvinggamer: I didn't really see a problem with having overlap, but I suppose if you've got two people playing with two cursors then having that portrait cover up some of the characters would be a nuisance at the least for the other person. The portrait could disappear when you select the character, but I guess I see what you mean.
