Yeh i think the gameplay will be totally revolutionary, we're never gunna say anything like it again. I love how Activision spend so much time developing the games, you know they aren't just gunna be some half assed cash-in attempt. Can't wait :D

If it's £10 on release, I'll consider it. I'm not hopeful, however.

Being a fan, yes, I think it looks sweet. To those that aren't fans, (and even to some that are) then they probably (very highly likely) aren't going to buy it.

Well the only thing preventing me from never buying a new guitar hero game again are great setlists. I mean the newer games in the series have almost completely abandoned the rock roots of the first few games and have moved onto a completely different genre of music whcih annoys me, I still haven't finished World tour because some of the songs are so boring and awful I can't be bothered. But with a setlist dedicated to Van Halen, I might have to get this.

That's about how I feel.  When you cut out Hagar and Anthony from the game, it becomes less about the legacy of Van Halen and more of "hey, Eddie realized that people want to play his guitar riffs in the game, so let's allow him to use his egocentric bullshit to further his feud with folks" material.

Anthony was in the band for its entire career of recorded material, and Hagar was there for half of it.  Whether you like that half or not is to your own accord.

Then again, I could say the same thing for Guitar Hero: Metallica not having Cliff or Jason in it, but I understand the position that they had with that situation:  they don't want the current bassist, who happens to be a badass at what he does, be overshadowed and treated like shit because the other two guys are legends.

No Michael Anthony is a disservice, but I can't say I'm too pissed about no Hagar since I wasnt really a fan of the Hagar era Van Halen.

    Probably a rental for me.

It's going to look and play like a guitar hero game.
