Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Sep 28, 2010
The sixth core entry in Activision's Guitar Hero series represents the last entry developed by Neversoft.
The Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Guitar Is Metal
The guitar technically does less; the mostly useless digital strip created for use in Guitar Hero: World Tour has seemingly been kicked to the curb. The same old buttons and bars continue to line the inner guitar, though.
What you're seeing above is stock. This is what you'll get if you don't pre-order the game from a GameStop. If you do decide to go the pre-order route you'll get a less-dramatic flat black axe-style guitar with chrome sprinkled around its curves. But don't feel too pressured to pre-order for the less visually-assaulting wings: Activision teased interest in making more by dropping to Gizmodo that not every set will be this...Brutal Legend-like in design.
A version of this guitar is set to be released for all three platforms: the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. The price hasn't been revealed, but bear in mind that older guitars purchased with other Guitar Hero games can be used in Warriors of Rock. So, no pressure or anything.

" Is there anyone interested in this game who doesn't have a guitar already? "True that.
No matter how "awesome" these guitar hero controllers are, they still look like something that poped out of toys r us in the young children section, next to those shitty pianos they sell. I always found the Rock Band guitars to look and work better for me at least.
Although I do say the GH drum sets look better. Ironic.
So much for advancing the whole fake guitar thing. I was kind of hoping there would be something more significant in the game as a feature with the guitar that would make it more interesting to play. I just got a PS3 and it seems as though I'll be sticking with getting Rock Band 3 regardless of whether or not their stuff has changed at all.
" What happened to the no watermark rule? "At least you know this way where the article was originally poached from
" @Tebbit: I think most people will argue with you on the RB1 Strat being the best. For me it was a piece of crap that ended up somewhere in my shed. "Yeah, I never understood that. What's not to like about that guitar? It's easier to slide up and down, thus making it less difficult to play a succession of fast notes, plus, the buttons make a definitive click, versus Guitar Hero style guitars which are softer and less immediate.
It puts less emphasis on mastering the nuances of the guitar, and more on mastering the nuances of the track which, surely, is what it's all about? Duuuuuuuuuude.

You'll notice this image doesn't appear on the Warriors of Rock page. And it's silly to expect them to post news and not put an image in the news story because it's watermarked." People still buy these games? Ugh, just die. "<3 "
I agree completely with you... they are just toys. I don't understand how they can't make them look half decent without imitating some style terribly - metal would just make fun of this bunk plastic. They have had much better looking ones and that's for sure... they only look good when they attempt to imitate the design of a real guitar (which they still stray pretty far from).
This looks like a cheap knock of guitar for Guitar Hero 1. Major step back, they should have just updated the Xplorer
