I've fully realized how much this sucks. Don't even bother with the "ZOMG I CREAMED MY PANTS BECAUSE OF THREE TOOL SONGS!!" because guess what? Some people don't like Tool.
Guitar Hero World Tour
Game » consists of 22 releases. Released Oct 26, 2008
The fourth game in the Guitar Hero series adds drums and vocals to the mix, along with a music studio that you can use to create new tracks and share them online.
After re-assessing the Setlist
"I've fully realized how much this sucks. Don't even bother with the "ZOMG I CREAMED MY PANTS BECAUSE OF THREE TOOL SONGS!!" because guess what? Some people don't like Tool."I think it all depends on charting, man. There are some songs in previous Guitar Hero games I cannot fucking stomach without playing them (read: Free Bird), but actually playing them is a blast. We'll see when it rolls out.
*shrug*
I think you're just sore about the Metallica song.
No one is going to like the whole setlist but as long as they have actual fun songs to play, I can ignore the fact Tool are on there.
Wow. I just realized "Satch Boogie" is in the playlist. I might have to get the game just to play that.
I want more Buckethead. More, damnit.
"I don't know about you, but I'm picking this up just for the chance to sing Beat It."Wow, kinda weird because I've been telling everybody the same thing...
"Psynapse said:I just wish they'd knock it off with those fucking battles. I can't think of any feasible way to break the game's immersion more effectively than to have a lightning bolt strike your fretboard and have it ask the player to whammy profusely to correct it. How lame."Vinchenzo said:Sorry but that's what Activision has been doing with the series.""Chances are, GHWT will turn out like this:Noooooo don't burst my bubble!""
- Unsupported as far as DLC goes.
- Replaced within a couple months by a new GH.
- Underwhelming.
"I think you're just sore about the Metallica song.Tell me with a straight face you don't want to play Purple Haze, Crazy Train, Hot for Teacher, Heartbreaker, Band on the Run, Satch Boogie, Love Removal Machine, Hotel California, Love Me Two Times, Rebel Yell, The Joker, Pull Me Under, Sweet Home Alabama, One Armed Scissor, or Assassin. Go on, do it."
I was sore about the Metallica song, but then I figured they have to be saving all of the best material from them for GH: Metallica. Half of the songs you just listed are the songs I like in the set list. There's a few others here and there too, but really slim pickings as far as my music tastes go. AND THERE'S STEELY DAN. I THOUGHT BODHISSATVA IN ROCK BAND 2 WAS PUNISHMENT ENOUGH!!!!
"Chances are, GHWT will turn out like this:I hope not.. I hope they go the route of Rock Band with this game and just release ass loads of DLC.. if not I'm dumping the GH franchise and never taking them back! I'll send them a break up letter. I've always liked the GH notes better than the RB ones but after RB2 release I'm getting very accustomed to RB and happy with it! So it wouldnt' take much to piss me off and leave GH."
