Nope, talk is Game Informer were told personally that there will be no episode three in 2010.

Honestly folks, Valve are working on a new source engine.

Yes, I think they're doing this. There's also a thought in my mind that suggests that they may be treating Episode 3 as a sequel, rather than a new episode to Half Life 2.

Didn't Valve say that Episode 3 isn't coming out this year?

@Ahmad_Metallic: Must have been a bug or a mistake. Notice how it has the same release date as that game Venetica.

@Ahmad_Metallic: Because they felt it was more accurate than TBD. They tend to guess dates that are at the very end or smack dab in the middle of the year (June 1 is a common one for games that are to be released Q2 or Q3 or some undetermined time in the summer). I'm sure it says 12-31-10 because of the recent rumor that Episode 3 won't come out this year (if at all since they're probably gonna take the Ep3 events and put them into a full-on HL3 with a new engine).
