A dog is an animal, of which there are estimated to be 400 million of in the world. Said to be man's best friend, they naturally appear in many video games.
A game mechanic that adjusts the difficulty of the game automatically during gameplay as a result of the player's performance.
Any game that represents a society noticeably worse or less desirable compared to those in the present. This can relate to kinds of political and economic organisation, excessive human suffering, social problems caused by technology, or as a result of an apocalyptic event.

In many games there lies an ominous pressurized gas tank within the levels to help or harm the players. These tanks are filled with many different types of combustible gases that either explode on impact or have physics applied to them and rocket propel themselves across the level.

Gnomes are a race of mythological creatures, which are usually much smaller versions of humans.
Games show you a new enemy throughout the game and they usually require a new tactic to defeat it. The first one you fight comes solo and you are required to kill it, then they are given to you in groups or possibly mixed with older enemies.
