    I've played ODST already on legendary with a relative of mine, but all I want is the multiplayer component of Halo 3.  Should I shell out the 50 or 60 bucks for ODST or the 30 or 40 bucks for Halo 3?  If I purchased a new copy of Halo 3, would I have all the maps?

    You would not have all the maps. You'd have to buy the map-packs. I'd say that ODST is probably a better package; and hey, you also get access to the Reach Beta when it comes out next year.

    @rjayb89:  i believe you do get all the maps from halo 3 with odst plus three new maps with it. The only differences that if you don't get odst  you wont be able to get fire fight.

    ODST : Fire fight is worth the difference.  It's like Gears of War multi but good.

    Yeah, definitely get ODST. I don't think you can get the last three maps released without getting it and you'll be able to play the Reach beta next year.
