Now that Bungie is independent, will the PC and PS3 see Halo?

No PS3 version, Microsoft owns Halo.

Ummm...not a chance in hell on the PS3...unless sony buys the rights to halo, which wont happen. But PC, its always possible....but dont exspect that until halo 3 comes out...which will be a long time.

A PC version was always a certainty, as with the past two. I expect all the new modes will come packed with a genuine HD game with all the polish a DX10 game can provide.

It's never going to be a PS3 game, never.

Microsoft basically has first dibs on publishing rights.

Oh and another thing. Can people stop asking if Halo will be on PS3? The answer is no and will most likely be no forever. The only reason Microsoft might even allow Halo to be on a PS3, let alone a Sony console, is when Halo is completely dead and becomes nothing. (similar to Mortal Kombat, Crash Bandicoot, etc)

By that time, it won't even matter.

Yeah, at some far future point the PS3 might see a Bungie game, but it will never see HALO.

It's just one of those display boxes like you see at Gamestop before the official thing has been revealed. I'm not exactly sure where that boxart came from honestly, but I doubt it will end up being the final. EDIT: It came from MTV Multiplayer apparently, so maybe it will be the final. Also, this was my 999th post. I must do something special with 1000.

I don't know, that is an impressive picture and that looks exactly like something Bungie would use as cover art.

Microsoft owns the Halo IP. If Bungie wants to make another Halo game, Microsoft has to be the publisher.

Many may have already answered the same thing: Bungie is not part of Microsoft anymore - true, but the Halo franchise is still Microsoft property which means no way this is going to be released on the PS3. And furthermore, it would be kind of strange to release a game based on a familiar franchise on a console that has never had it in the first place, why jump the ship now?
