Live action.

Definately live action,animated/CGI would be too easy,plus you can't get the emotional responses with animated/CGI like you can with real actors(assuming they are good actors).

I want live action.  The whole point of a Halo movie for me is to bring it to life, not to do more computer graphics.

Animated. I don't really think that Master Chief can hold up as a main hero character on a live action movie. I think it will be eaiser to pull off the "No face" thing on an Animated or CGI movie. I went with Animated because I love it more then CGI movie.

If it's based on the Fall of Reach, the "no face" thing doesn't really matter, as he's much younger for the majority of it, and doesn't even wear the Mjornir armour until the very end. 

Even if it were based on the games, there's no reason Master Chief would need to be the main focus, infact I think it would be a lot stronger if it focused more on the marines, with Master Chief more of a background character, like how it worked in the Halo shorts by  Neill Blomkamp.  Same with ODST, it shows more of the human side of the struggle with the Spartans being something they look up to as a sign of hope..  Even certain scenes in Halo 3 showed this.

Live Action, but I more want it to be great, which it could be with the right people involved.

Halo is not a movie I would get excited about. But I would get the most out of it if it was a live action movie.

I consider CGI and animated the same thing. Anyways that's just me. Ether way you can still stick to the same source material and the director/producer isn't forced to change anything due to money or etc.
