I was wondering if we'll get to see (Guessing Brads or even Drew's) review of Halo 4 on November 1st at midnight?

I know some other gaming websites will.

I don't think so, they don't really care as much about reviews and scores as other sites do.

Depends when they get a copy and when the embargo is. I think it'll probably be Brad who reviews it.

Giantbomb is slowly leaving the review-business. But they are the biggest player in the quick look-business, and I like it that way.

Who cares about the review? If you like Halo you'll buy it anyway.

I will be happy with just a quick look too.

And the crew already got a review copy too, if you look at Jeff's achievements you can see he unlocked a few for Halo 4.

I, too, hope to see a Drewview. He feels like he'd be best suited for it.

Brad will probably be the one reviewing it. It doesn't matter to me since I'm getting it day one.

since when? It's probably the reason is off this week. Quick Look isn't a good replacement for a review, a 40 minute look at a game compared to someone that has spent over 20 hours with the game can't be compared. If GB got rid of reviews they would stop getting invited to anything and getting early copies. You get the most hits from reviews, people strolling though Metacritic.

Yeah, I think Jeff will review it.

The guys can sometimes be pretty late on reviews but this game is big enough that I'd bet we'll see it hit as soon as the embargo lifts. A lengthy live Drewstream would be real good too.

I will pay for another full year of membership just for that livestream. We need to find a way to make this happen.

Jeff will review it, but I would really enjoy seeing a review from Drew.

I would really like a midnight stream of Halo 4 with Drew at the helm. That Skyrim marathon was awesome and that old Gamespot Mario Galaxy stream was awesome. Live streams is where it's at and I wouldn't mind seeing more of these "here's us jumping into the first hour of said game, raw and unedited".

But yeah there will probably be a review on midnight.

I would rather see a Quick Look as well. Does anyone know if there is an embargo set?

Halo 3 was rad at the time though. It's not the best Halo but it ironed out a lot of the issues that Halo 2 had in abundance, and it was one of the first games to really take advantage of XBL. Back when he gave it 9.5, there was nothing quite so fully-featured and well-designed as Halo 3.

wow I'm starting to hate the fact that Brad might review it. Jeff has way more enthusiasm, especially in a video review.

Nobody gives two shits about reviews any more, simple as.

I like how Jeff makes comments about reviews becoming less relevant, and suddenly a tonne of voices in the comments section are like,

"Yeah, fuck reviews!"

I'd be interested in reading a review. Jeff may be right, in that video content is where the future lies, but it needs to meet some sort of middle-ground between review and quick-look.

For all they show you, the discussion is often meandering and doesn't hit every point that I'd like to hear about.

A well written review will tell you a lot more about the game, the QL is more for entertainment to me. Still, if i had to pick on over that over it'd be a QL.

It will be Jeff and it will get 5 stars.

I think Drew should review it and Jeff should do his Halo 4 The First Hour.

I didn't like that game either but that doesn't mean all reviews for halo 4 are going to be inaccurate; you look at the person doing the review, you see how his tastes match up to your own, boom
