My Halo 4 ending is: After fighting for his life on the strange planet he's landed on, Master Chief must destroy a huge alien beast that has been tormenting him throughout the entire campaign. With the help of some UNSC soldiers, he weakens the alien. Unfortunately the beast evolves and becomes something more terrifying. So Master Chief sacrifices himself to destroy the beast and saves humanity. It turns out the beast thingy was actually what created the flood. How this is relevant to Halo, I don't know. But I thought it would be a friggin awesome ending(minus Master Chief dieing). How do YOU think Halo 4 should end?

Idk.  I'm betting Cortana corrupting/dieing is a thing in the new games.

I don't know about the ending, but maybe DURING the game he won't be so emotionless and boring.. That'd be pretty sweet. The ending will probably be a cliffhanger.

Not sure about the ending but the starting will have the Chiefs voice break for the second time somehow and he'll sound like Nolan North. He will then always make witty remarks to Cortana as the game goes on.

A halo game is not a halo game without master chief. By that I mean a Halo 4/5/6 has some expectations that comes with it being the numerical successor of 1/2/3.

I'm no expert on Halo lore, but isn't he basically alone (and assumed to be dead)? Also, hasn't the whole "giant flood monster" been done already - twice?

Fairly certain a love interest would make no sense, isn't the whole point of the Spartans that they are genetically engineered to more or less be nothing but soldiers? Like they don't give a shit about anything but their orders etc etc. I spose they could easily enough re-write it to be "oh he is fighting back against his programming" or whatever but really don't know how i'd feel about that.

Master Chief finally finds deodorant strong enough to tackle the stench he's built up from wearing that armor for four straight games. Phew.

According to the books, Master Chief is in his mid-forties. He is indeed getting too old for this shit.
