The re-make of Valhalla really shows how much better Halo 4 looks than Halo 3. Mechs are something that I didn't want in Halo, but since this is 6 years in the the future of the Halo universe I guess it can be justified.
Meet Halo 4's new mech, the mantis.
Was super pumped about all this new Halo 4 stuff, this, however, I'm not really liking this addition too much. Not gonna judge till I play it obviously, but mechs feel kinda weird to me in a Halo game, especially one that resembles your general every-day mech that you can see in many other games.
I haven't played a Halo game in a while and that looks like something that may bring me back, if only out of curiosity.
Also, isn't it pretty easy to filter Halo games and such? The people that don't want to use it should be able to find mech-free games, right? I honestly don't know though, just asking.
Apparently at least some people do, to answer your question.
Who cares if it looks 'out of place'?
*shrug* I'd rather have 343 put in something that looks a little different then play it safe. There's way too much of that in the industry especially with popular titles.
I don't even think CoD has mechs. You thought out of the box with this one, 343.
If they really don't have any Promethean vehicles, that's stupid.
Promethean vehicles would be stupid, why the hell would AI's drive Vehicles when they can BE them?
I don't know, it seems like it could easily become overpowered if they don't balance it right. And I think I'm over dubstep being in things related to games. Hopefully by next year there will be another dumb type of music to put in trailers.
Ya know what? I think it's fine. I also think the music is totally appropriate for quickly showing off a multiplayer feature. Maybe I should post this in the unpopular opinions thread...
You have my sword.
And I didn't really think that music was dub-steppy (especially compared to the other one). Just seemed like some out of place electronica. Sure the bass is kinda turned up and slinky, but that's par for the course these days.
The production values of these trailers that 343 have been putting out are embarrassing compared to Bungie's stuff. I know that kind of music is currently popular for trailers and teasers, but it feels super out of place in a Halo video.
The mechs look cool, somewhat strange in the Halo environment especially considering it is being featured on an old Halo 3 map. I really hope we can have 16 of those things fighting at once.
I was really impressed with the mech until the DEVELOPERS made it teabag. Ugh, I know it's a Halo... thing... but why encourage it at a creator level? Oh well, very cool aside from that.
OMG, it's OP, NERF IT NOW!
PUT THAT CRYSTAL BALL AWAY BEFORE THEY CATCH YOU WITH IT!
