One of my CS friends got a job at Bungie a few months ago and he told me that they were building a class based massive multiplayer game (fps, along the lines of MAG) with the Halo Franchise. Care to guess which game he was talking about.
Halo: Reach
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Sep 14, 2010
A prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, chronicling one of the most cataclysmic events of the Halo Universe through the eyes of a squad of Spartan super-soldiers known as Noble Team. It is also the last game in the series developed by Bungie.
Insider Info from friend at Bungie
If this is correct, it would be interesting to see how it would work, I mean wouldn't the Spartan class sort of be the king of all classes?
" @oldschool: Yeah, just like every other huge franchise out there...If this is correct, it would be interesting to see how it would work, I mean wouldn't the Spartan class sort of be the king of all classes? "
"@oldschool said:Fixed."" Is Halo an Activison game now? Seems to be a new game every time I look. "
" @oldschool: I would just like to point out that halo 3 was released in 2007.... Halo reach beta will be released in 2010. As for ODST, only a small portion of bungie are working on it. So no they're not really. For milking, see call of duty and their attempts to reset the number count "
Hey mugugipian, what's with all the troll topics lately. Do you just sit around your computer and make shit up all day? Nobody in their right mind would risk an awesome job at Bungie to tell you this.

While I am dubious of this information, it's not completely out of the question. I have a friend who works for Sony testing hardware, and he was able to leak information about the PSP 3000, Go and PS3 slim months before places like Kotaku got a hold of it. Surprisingly, nobody believed me either. :P But if you look through some of my old posts on ScrewAttack you'll find some very accurate information about features the Go and Slim turned out to have.
Regardless, we already know Reach features customisable armour which basically gives you unique "perks" and they said these wouldn't be in the multiplayer for balance issues. It's pretty obvious one of Bungie's new secret modes they mentioned will incorporate different classes like this. We didn't really need a leak to know this.
