@doctordonkey: I will let you know in about 10 mins :D Gonna stream it out so look for Barberforce on twitch
Actually forget that! also a 2.4gb patch...... I feel sorry for people who only have this and have data caps
No it works fine. Recommend you do the main game patch first then do the odst download. Looks pretty good.
Thanks for letting me know! The message says it expires at the end of next month which seems really soon. I could have missed it if it weren't for you.
As someone who bought this package primarily for the single player and co op I think this is pretty awesome. Never had issues when I played through it originally and really am looking forward to playing this. I do hope eventually they release Reach as well.
Even though I had the game before the cutoff date, I'd only played it offline so I guess they didn't count me for the apologetic bonuses. $5 for ODST is a pretty great price though, so I think I'll end up picking it up anyways. I was definitely expecting it to be $15, even though it doesn't have Firefight and whatnot, so I wasn't planning on getting it before today.
@sackmanjones: I'd have the odd crash on the singleplayer campaigns, the only annoying bug i had was on Halo CE where channels of sound would disappear untill i rotated and they came back.
It's been fun and integrates nicely. My original opinion of ODST still stands:
Some of the tightest, most well-designed combat encounters in the series, coupled with the purest and most tactical Halo combat (which the engine from 3 provided). Then a crappy, worthless "open world" that just has you going from one designated place to another, which is saved by the music and mood of those areas. And cool characters, mostly due to the well-known voice actors having a good time.
So ODST, to me, will always be half-good (RIP Screened). Those flashback sequences are so damn fun, and the amount of time we originally spent in Firefight led to a lot of nostalgia with this update. But man, those open world interludes suck ass.
@csl316: ODST for me was my 2nd/3rd best Halo Game. Reach was outstanding. (God knows how Bungie went from that master piece to Destiny) ODST is more stealthy and controls well. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the up Rez was. It looks 100% better and the 60fps works for me. 60fps on Halo 3 just seems weird as it plays like the fast forward button is stuck on.
Part of me thinks the reason why ODST was included (as the master chief isn't featured in the story) is because..... SPOILERS....................
Buck is in Halo 5 as one of agent Locke's Spartan team
@l1ghtn1n: I'd actually say do Halo 2, then ODST. Gives you a break from playing as MC but be aware your not a spartan in ODST so the game handles and plays slightly different

Yeah, pretty much agree with you here.
@barberforce: Reach was amazing, and this was after I got initially disappointed they they were just doing another FPS. Originally beat it on co-op, then I played alone and realized how well they pulled off the diminishing hope in the second half of the campaign.
Not to mention some of the addicting multiplayer I've ever played, along with those daily challenges. Reach just got better the more I played it.
Kinda surprised that this is only $5 for those who didn't get it free. I was expecting it be like $15 or $20 if they wanted to be dicks
