Playing as Prophet, with a two-base strategy.  Three warehouses, then temple.  Cue up next warehouse while waiting for temple.  Timing it like that gives you good time to explore with your scout as much as possible without having to keep going back to base.  Some people like to get their leaders out early, but I try to focus on resources right off the bat.  Sometimes If I can get a base at a forward position, I'll leave my first base without shields or a unit producer, so I can get as much resources as possible to get the prophet's upgrades and the next tech ages.

Usually I'd focus on Vampires as my first unit type to build, and by the time I'm building them I can put them out as fast as I can make them.  I like to have the second base with two air bases and a barracks.  Use one airbase to build vampires while the other researches the upgrades for it while the barracks makes hunters.  In team games, focusing on the vampires first gives me a superb support unit if anything goes down on the map and the hunters can usually stop anything on the ground.  They're both specialty units, the Vampire being Anti-air and the Hunter Anti-vehicle, but I've found strategic use of the two, plus the Prophet himself, to be quite effective.   To change it up sometimes i'll go just Vampires with a few engineers and  a prophet upgraded to flight, or I'll just build nothing but Locusts until I've got enough to build a Scarab.
