When it Started Halo was a relatively unknown game, but it quickly gained a huge fan base as well great lore ( i just happen to love the stuff), 
its sad to see the franchise end with Halo: Reach .
 
as bad as it sounds i will miss accidentally on purpose killing my fellow marines...

Microsoft created 343 studios specifically to make new Halo games.

OMG. I had QQ wrong all this time too!
 
I don't have a 360 so not too sure I would miss Halo too much, but I have nephews that are well into the franchise. They'd be relieved to see it continue.

Halo 1 when it was brand new.  The popularity of the series quickly went from "Oh I love this game that noone else knows about" to "holy shit there are 50K people lined up around the street for Halo 2". "
