a 10oz. "Butterfield Burger" from Butterfields in Happauge (Long Island), New York

It was, like... $8 bucks by itself, and $10 with a drink, though.

Still, totally worth it.  Resturants are usually better than fast food when it comes to burgers.

A Cheeseburger at Houston's.  A little pricey ($15-20), but worth the money.

Well, this burger probably pales in comparison to others, but there's a burger place underneath UMass Amherst (yes, underneath, it's partially underground) that has really great double cheeseburgers with bacon.

I've eaten so many awesome burgers during my time, it's hard to pick only one. I actually ate hilariously good burger here the other day. I was at this party all night long and when me and one of my buds decided to take the trip home via train, we said fuck going to bed, we're still kinda wasted and super hungry. So we took the train all the way into the city and bought this awesome burger at this private owned burger shop. Man, there was so much deliciousness on that burger. I think the combination of being kinda drunk and hungry really made that burger better than it probably is, but at the time, it tasted AWESOME!

I don't really care about the quality of a burger, it's by the quality of the fries and the shake that I judge a good joint to eat at.

I know probably most people would say this, but I actually disagree. I think burgers should be of the fast food nature -- quick, "disguising", unhealthy and awesome!

If In-N-out is your favorite hamburger ever you haven't eaten a lot of hamburgers.  I'll give you best fast food burger, but I could make a better hamburger myself.  For me, the only thing that's coming to mind is the Royal Red Robin with some added onion straws.  I'm sure there's better, but that's pretty much my routine hangover burger.

I was drunk off my ass at a comedy club and my friends and I ordered there cheese burgers.  To me they tasted like the best burger I have ever had, but apparently I found out the next day that they were really disgusting.  So I guess what I'm saying is try eating a burger drunk off your ass and you'll think you have eaten the best.

Well the most recent burger I had was two hours ago when I had the Grilled Cheese BurgerMelt at Friendly's. It's your standard burger except the bun is replace with two grilled cheese sandwiches. I liked it.

Truer word have never been spoken. This applies to nearly all types of food.

I would say many burgers I've grilled myself or with friends.  The anticipation, smell, seeing the flames lick up as fat pours out and realizing I should slow down on the Coors all makes for a perfect burger.  My view is that cooked meat should not be seen as "best ever" but "how's this rank?" As many others have said, and relating this to video games, it's not necessarily about the burger itself but the good times that came along with said animal product.

I wouldn't say its the best burger I've ever eaten but best I had in a while.  Was randomly cruising around and saw a place called Farmer Boys.  I normally get a Carls Six Dollar burger and the like so my taste expectations were low.   When I bit into that FB it was like an explosion of flavor in my mouth.  Here's a stock photo.

Has Guac or Avacado or something in there.
For my money though nothing can beat this on pure food for dollar amount.
 MY ARTERIES
This thing is over a pound of fries, chili cheese and stomach problems waiting to happen.  It only costs like $4 too.

There's a pub near Victoria Park in east London that serves a burger which includes (in order): 2 quarter pound burger patties, mature English cheddar cheese, a gammon steak, a pineapple ring, a fried egg, relish, tomato, lettuce and pickles, all in a warm toasted bun.

It's Rad as Fuck.

On the night of the season premere of LOST season 6, me and my room-mate bought some good bacon, onion rings (yes, for the burgers), and ground beef, and made the best fucking burgers I've had in a long time. Watched LOST and ate like kings.

The best burger I had was oddly enough at an Italian restaurant in San Francisco. Also the best french fries I've ever had.

P.S. My compliments to Google for me being able to find a restaurant I'd only been to twice in under five minutes.

I did a 3 month stint at an Ontario local burger chain called Lick's in high school, and made my own burgers during my break. It was huge and juicy and clean and delicious, unlike the usually charred and mashed up product you get when buying it over the counter.

Lick's is the kind of place with good ingredients, and a required method of cooking that intentionally destroys both flavour and quality. It's quite astounding...

Unless it was 3am and you were on the way home from the bars, in which case it was a big bag of little burgers at Little Tavern (which were, arguably awful burgers, but it was 3am)...

Aberdeen Angus burger in a Pub in Countryside Scotland (Near Aberdeen). It was last summer holiday, had the same burger every time we went there. FUCKIN DELICIOUS!

I had a cheese burger at In-N-Out once, and since I almost never eat burgers that was probably the best.

In Florida, I went to a bar called The Brass Ring Pub. Their burgers were amazing. I live in NYC and can probably find a better one if I really tried, but haven't yet.
