I recently had a hamburger and the buns were soggy on both sides. This personally to me is the most disguting thing ever. I will basically refuse to even eat the burger meat inbetween the soggy bread. Does this affect other people like it does me?
Hamburger
A hamburger is a hunk of ground beef served between two pieces of bun-configured bread. Hamburgers are often served with a variety of toppings and condiments. It is named for the region in which it was invented, not for the kind of meat (as is often mistakenly suggested).
Burger with wet buns
" Only the french are ok with soggy buns...Au Jus (Beef broth for dipping) is the best thing ever. Have you had a Chicago style Italian beef. They dunk a roast beef sandwich entirely into a vat of beef broth until the whole thing is a soggy but delicious mess. Also there is the Buffalo new york "Beef on Weck" sandwich. Which is also dunked in au jus and is fanrastic. Man i wish i could buy kimmelweck rolls in Ohio.

Yep I go to Hippo's Hot Dogs all the time and they are like a walk down Maxwell street. Best Chicago style everything and they feature all Vienna brand products. Dare I say they are better than burgers? I dare! Just look at the menu. Also these guys have won awards for years and are in the Vienna hall of fame.

I hate soggy bread, unless it is caused by me dipping my sandwich into my soup or something similar. Even then, it is limited to specific situations and specific types of soups (for example, tomato soup works well). However, soggy bread caused by something that is not purposeful is pretty nasty. I especially hate bread that is soggy because of water or grease. I will, however, still eat the meat - unless that is somehow ruined by it as well, or the liquid is unknown.
" @Buzzkill said:Au Jus is also different than what we're talking about here. Here we're just talking about that gross sticky, kinda flavorless slop that the bun turns into when it gets too moist for whatever reason." Also, yes, wet buns are disgusting.
As you can see it looks completely inedible, but the secret is how patty is cooked on a bed of steamed onions. When they are almost done, the bun is placed on top of the patty to get nice and steamed as well. As you can imagine this can make the edges of the bun quite wet giving their nickname sliders. You don't even have to chew the damn things! Basically you either really like them or they are the bane of your existence. There is no in between.
Soggy doesn't totally bother me, but If I had to choose I would probably go with a dry bun.
