Cool. After watching the Quick Look, I became really interested in this game, I'll definitely give the demo a try.
This wouldn't happen to support the 360 controller would it? >_>
Yes! This means I can figure out how well this will run on my system without having to pirate it or buy it! The Quick Look made this game look pretty great.
Thanks for the heads up. Hard Reset and Serious Sam 3 scratch my FPS itch real good.
@kishinfoulux: You are going to play a PC only shooter with a gamepad. Son, I am disappoint.
Cool game, definitely picking it up at that price. Demo didn't like my crossfire config but it ran alright on a single 6870. The music is nuts.

I do so all the time - it`s only a disadvantage when playing online competitive. For singleplayer titles, I prefer being able to sit a little further away from the screen and relax on the couch. Can`t get comfortable with a keyboard in my lap.
Different people have different reasons for doing so, not a rare occurence anymore now that most games support a 360 pad out of the gate.
Damn, i just pre ordered it last night on a whim. But cool there is a demo.
This.Man that demo was short. But the gameplay & graphics were AWESOME. Ran it on high @ 1080p with a 5770 and i got an average FPS of 63 according to the benchmark. Really good results for such a low end GPU.
And the cement mixer was adorable. Then I shot it.I felt so bad for killing it; it didn't deserve to die ;__;
very short demo (its NOT the preview build from the QL...well i mean lenght wise) but its amazing. I just know im going to obcess about looking for every nook and corner for upgrade parts :D
also, why is the game so fucking PRETTY.... its just so pretty. goddamn pc gaming
My OC GTX 460 ran it fine on ultra and 1080p. Short but pretty damn impressive demo.My Geforce GTX 570 ran the game at 1680x1050 at the ultra detail without any problems, stable framerate, etc.
Awesome, been looking forward to this game. Downloading now. :D

Wow, talk about overkill. Way too much power for such a low resolution.
My main LCD met an unfortunate end after a recent earthquake (West Coast), waiting for the insurance company...
Looks nice, moves great, but doesn't feel very hot at all. Feels like it was an extremely dull part of the game demonstrated, and I hope that's what it was. Felt like something that would have been right at home on a console - except for the graphics.
A last generation console (GC, PS2, Box1)
Going back to Human Revolution after those graphics, imagine what HR could have looked like if it was PC primary like BF3? Holy smokes. Still a great game, the design of HR helps it forward but, what could have been!
Alright, I'll make sure to download it tomorrow. Thanks :)
Seems like he is saying it belongs on a last generation console. In which case, its safe to say his eye balls are up his ass.@mosdl: I'm sorry for your loss.
@SomeJerk: Wait, what? Are you saying the graphics are good or outdated?
im pretty sure he meant the GAME belongs on last gen systems (i guess because its old school wave based like serious am/painkiller/etc),while the graphics are this gen (he even says he wishes deus ex was pc only to have these kind of graphics)
you could say the same about any shooter in that case... what does KZ or MW do over last gen's shooters besides graphics? If anything they devolved into single corridor rides?I blame codeinephosfatehemihydrate tablets (legal use of those, trust me), I meant - if it wasn't for the graphics, the demo looked like something that would fit fine on a last generation console.

Just out of curiosity, what are your guys' CPUs?
I have a GTX 260 with an old 5600+ dual core (OC to 3.1) and my frames are dropping like mad. It can go from 110 all the way down to an abysmal 12 fps depending on where I'm looking and surrounding action no matter the graphical settings, which leads me to believe a lot of the special effects are heavily CPU bound. I can even watch my fps drop as I just stand there continuously shooting the machine gun into a wall watching it overheat and smoke which does look pretty cool by the way.
In the steam forums, it sounds like all sorts of GPU's are able to handle the game, but no one is mentioning their CPU, so I want to know if it's my dual core just being a bitch or there is something wrong with my 260, although other games are running just fine and dandy.
Other than that, yeah this game is fucking rad. Shooting shit is fun as hell. I spent like 15 minutes in the starting area shooting tires and making them bounce wildly all over the place. Try it, it's awesome.
Visual style and atmosphere are one of the best I've seen in some time, The color palette is also done with taste and the Neon/Holographic display ilumination is so well tunned.
You get to use 2 weapons, both of them awessome with great detail and imagination.
Gorgeous game and the demo was lots of fun. I highly recommend! definitely going to purchase this after i am done with some of my backlog of stuff.
Also, cement mixer was awesome.

KZ and MW, if the demo of Hard Reset is representative of the final game, has gameplay that is a lot more deep and advanced. I just hope it's not what the demo lets it up to be because that would make Quake 1 (1996) a stunner of a game. Gave the HReset demo another shot just now; Walk around, shoot environmental hazards, shoot enemies, use flashy interfaces on items, upgrade stuff. That's it.
I wish I had enough cash to burn to pick up the whole game and learn what the real deal has, seen plenty of really bad demos that did not represent the final games level of fun in the past (BioShock 1, MW1).
And Quake 1 is a damn fine game.
Thanks! Just in time, too, i just got my new PC.
Thanks! Just in time, too, i just got my new PC.Awesome =D tell us how it runs. Unfortunately I'll probably be getting my new computer after I play through this game, but I'd be interested to know how it runs on your computer, since I'll probably be getting a similar machine to you.
Just got done playing it, and it's awesome. On higher difficulties it feels like a throwback to old school FPS games and it just looks and sounds so freaking amazing. I think it's cool that the easy difficulty basically allows people who want to see all the fun and interesting weapons a chance to blow stuff up without having to be an expert at the genre. It definitely feels like a game for a certain niche audience but that niche will have a blast with it. I'm going to buy it day of and try to get a full review up on GB asap.
It is a really fun game. I thought it looks fantastic, and the weapons are a ton of fun to mess around with. The enemies are what make the game though, they are just so damn fun to shoot at!
I will most likely pick this up after I finish deus ex. I am between getting this and resistance 3.
