Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Forum

It was having issues working and they must have took down.

I was excited when I saw that on the main page. I signed in, then it was gone! Oh, well. I hope they fix it fast.

Guess we'll have to suffer a little longer. Hope it's up later today cause I really want to see this game being BURNED! :P
IGN Gave it a 7.7, wich I think is a hugely overated score since it's almost an exact copy of the last one. It seems they fixed some really messed up stuff from OOTP though, like the movement, duelling and  the added mini-games. But still, nothing big that couldn't be fixed with a patch or DLC. The storymode seems to be awefully short, like 4 to 6 hours or so. So that should be totally doable in a DLC pack.

If 7.7 is indeed a fair score then in the scheme of things that's pretty good for a movie game.

@Babble: I agree that it's quite a good score for a movie game, but just looking at the trailers and the IGN review, it all feels a bit the same. Like they were out of ideas and inspiration. And that's quite a bummer, because most of the Harry Potter games were actually really good (e.g. The Chamber of Sectrets) and doing something to suck you in even more every time.

The first one obviously confronted the player with the whole Harry Potter world and having a reasonally solid platform/ action-adventure experience.
The second one added the better graphics, totally new layout of Hogwarts and an open-world feel. This one is still one of my favs on the original xbox.
The third had a great story, and there was a serious change of atmosphere. No more was the HP world fluffy, rainbows, pixies on flowers, a unicorn and a popsicle. It became more grittier and darker.
The fourth was the weakest. A linear piece of all the standard stuff. But still it stood apart because it offered something noticibly different compared to it;s prequels. (It's by no means a really fun game to play though.)

And then I first saw OOTP, i was like: "Whoa, this could be finally it." And I really felt, like being there at Hogwarts when I played it.  The atmosphere and gameplay were great . ( Altough while doing my second playthrough, it turned out to be a really dull piece of typical EA-Hollywood/ Big-fancy-corporation-laughs-it's-ass-off-while-we-take-your-60-bucks game.)
But , that game was meant to be played once, leaving the cosy HP feeling and never to be played again. But still, that first time through was a great experience.  

And now it just feels like nothing new or original has been added. They just, added some lame minigames and ripped half the story because they had a low budge and it obviously needed to come out before the movie to already start  the cashing.

XD Really getting too negative here. I guess I'll have to hold my final opinion 'bout this one until I actually played the game. 

So can anyone please cheer me up. This picture of a fax is helping out pretty good, but it's not quite getting the job done. :P

I believe that is the main issue whenever a video goes immediately to "Duder! It's Over!"
