Heart containers give Link one extra heart of health in Legend of Zelda and let fighters recover all of their health in the Super Smash Bros. series.

Heart Containers are usually found after defeating a boss in a Zelda game and increases your life energy by one heart.

A heart container can be formed by collecting 4 (5 in TP) piece's of heart. Piece's of heart are spread throughout the games and can either be found in treasure chests or be given to you for helping people.

In the Super Smash Bros. series of games, the container recovers 100% of the fighter's health in case of heavy damages in the match.
