Personally, I prefer the UK one, this game is simple in it's premise but devilishly complicated. If previous games by the developer can be trusted. Why the clutter!?
Heavy Rain
Game » consists of 12 releases. Released Jan 25, 2010
An interactive thriller from the studio behind Indigo Prophecy, sporting a dark storyline involving the investigation of a mysterious serial killer.
Box Art of Heavy Rain better in the UK?
To be honest... they both seem lacking. The UK's is definatly better, but it still seems like old PS1 or PS2 box art for a cheesy horror title. Also I love how prominently the US box displays her chest.
"Heavy Rain." *wink wink*
Oh, transparent advertising. Never will I tire of thee...
The European one looks fantastic; some of the best video game boxart I've ever seen. The American one, however, looks like shit.
"This boxart is boring... it needs more wet boobs. Oh, and maybe a dude holding a gun."
"I agree. I mean, boxart without gun-wielding men and wet boobs? What were the Europeans thinking when they designed this?"
" The UK one has something mysterious about it. Its abstract and interesting. I like it more than the US one definitely. Thus the joke option in the pole

terrible US cover. cheapens the game image and also the "E" and "V" letters' drips look like bleeding nipples
The US boxart is awful, the game doesn't have particularly good character models to begin with, slapping renders of them across the box is a huge mistake. Makes it look very amateurish.
That being said, I really don't care about the box art. I've seen people speak of importing it just because of the box, which almost approaches the stupidity of people paying extra for the Mass Effect 2 special edition, just because of the box. Are people framing these on their walls or something?
I don't really care one way or another. All the boxes do is sit on my shelf facing one another. Box art is designed to catch a customer's eye and get them to take notice of a game. The simplest way to do that is to show things they like: namely boobs and guns. If it sells more copies of Heavy Rain won't we all be happy?

The British one is miles better. Not to mention we're getting a CE with cool animated box wrap thing.
I don't know, the US box cover isn't that bad. If I was a prospective buyer, seeing an origami crane in the rain (on the UK cover) would baffle and confuse me, misinterpreting it as something it isn't, like an origami crane-folding game. Having the characters there implies it's a dramatic game. I could see why they did that.
The huge "15" is a bit distracting, but I definitely prefer the UK box art. The US version looks like a bad movie poster.

" Oh god, I can't believe that US boxart. I thought that US boxarts HAVE to feature characters and at least one weapon was an unwritten rule, but its so obvious and so horrible so often, I wonder whether publishers actually HAVE to do it? It's very sad. "
The rating certificates you get on German videogame boxart is far sadder.
" why dose US always get the worst boxart?! Is it some kind of redneck focus group thing? "probably.
Wow. The UK one is waaay better. IMO the font on the US boxart looks really generic and uninspired. The other boxart actually looks like there is some mystery involved in the game.
