    if you fail one of the trials? I really don't want to kill that guy. Please refrain from posting spoilers. I just basically want a yes or no.

    Yeah, I have a habit of restarting games like this when I make a mistake but I've been trying hard to stick with my actions unless I mess up because sixaxis doesn't work or something.

    Same here. It's why GTA IV took me 3 years to finish. But with Heavy Rain I took Cage's advice and just plowed through it in one sitting. I lost some characters, but it's what made my playthrough unique.

    I "failed" the trial where you are supposed to kill the guy and still had an ending I was satisfied by. I didn't feel like I wanted my character to cross that line.
