Explain to me the point of this. Heavy Rain is already a movie, just an interactive one. When you take that out all you are left with is a story that maybe doesn't stand too well on it's own when put side to side with the film house crew. No offense to any die hardRainers (Yes I called you that.), but you of all people should realize that is the stupidest shit ever.

Yeah, I don't understand the point of it either.  I guess it kind of makes logistical sense, though.  The script is already written for them, they don't really have to change much in order to make the jump from game to movie.

I would consider that a detriment to the film.

This is stupid. Like you said, Heavy Rain already tries to mimic a movie. Why make a movie about it then?  
 
Actually, thinking about it, I would rather watch the movie then play the game because of the terrible controls and bugs. :P

Like every video game movie adaptation, it's only gonna be Heavy Rain in name and concept only.

Like others have said, Heavy Rain is already a "movie".  Making a movie of a game that is already kinda a movie is just...no...

Hollywood has run out of ideas and is trying to turn every 80s/90s cartoon series and video game property into a movie. It sounds shitty, but people continue to go see this shit so they will keep doing it.

A movie would really highlight the laziness and contriteness of the story. I imagine it'll play out like a straight to DVD movie made by some dude who saw Se7en and The Usual Suspects back to back one time. Well, unless they get a real writer to do it and fix the story.

Hopefully they hire a  good writer this time around.
