An artifact (or artefact) is an object discovered through archaeology, usually man made or modified. Often highly valuable and sought after by collectors.
A large military siege engine shaped like a crossbow.
A watercraft designed to travel on top of bodies of water. A favored tool of pirates and criminals.
The bread and butter of any self respecting archer, the bow is a stereotypical ranged weapon of olden times and fantasy settings.
An outdoor fire usually lit in a fire ring, to provide warmth or heat for cooking.
Magic spell that can hit multiple foes. It usually homes in on the closest enemy, dishing out additional damage to potential nearby targets.
A public execution and entertainment device. The guillotine was mainly used to settle disputes during the French revolution.
A two-handed polearm consisting of an axe on a long shaft, good for defending against cavalry and infantry alike.
A magic staff is a large, thick stick or stick-shaped object usually with a medallion or amulet connected to the top. It is mostly used for its magical capabilities, but can also be wielded as a light melee weapon.
A defensive ditch, usually filled with water that serves as a barrier around a fortification.
Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass.
A type of rock that contains metals or other minerals.
A container from ancient times that has something enlightening or sinister locked away inside of it.
Armor made from metal plates designed to protect a user from injury. Usually more beneficial than armor made from chain links or leather.
A physical technological doorway that connects two distant locations.
A loose, fitting dress, typically worn by wizards or monks. Also regarded and used as a religious garment.
The feeding organ of a plant. Most roots lies below the surface of the soil.
A stick with a curved blade at the end. Good for cutting grass or chopping heads.
A long, piercing weapon.
A series of words of power, usually accompanied by a series of hand gestures, that unlocks the powers of magic for a brief moment. Can be read or just spoken from memory.
Stone and rock share many of the same mineralogical properties. Stone is often used to construct freestanding durable structures, requiring a great deal of force to break.
A length of exceptionally sharp metal with a handle, used for centuries as the go-to killing device for the human race. It's dead simple: you stick the pointy end in the thing you want to die. Or you could always slash them with the equally sharp sides. That works too.
Whoever built, discovered or reverse-engineered them, teleporters get you where you want to go immediately. Hopefully without materializing you halfway into a wall.
A (generally) unpaved path used for travel.
