An ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol which signifies eternal life, the ankh can be found in countless video games, where it is often used as a vitality-bestowing agent, a metaphor for benevolence, or as a representation of Egypt itself.
The axe is a tool used for many activities. Its uses include cutting wood, knocking down doors in emergencies, and rending your enemies limb from limb without mercy or regret.
From weapon, to trap, to calculated (albeit rough) transport, the catapult has many applications. Usually found on the medieval battlefield, this item exists in modern variations that hardly resemble its original form.
An item pickup in the Heretic/Hexen series. When used, it teleports the player back to the beginning of the current map.
The Chaos Sphere is a magical artifact that appears in both Hexen and Hexen II, where it is used by the Serpent Riders Korax and Eidolon to augment their considerable power.
Rifle-like thrower of bolts/arrows. Not to be confused with a bowcaster.
Item pickup in the Heretic/Hexen series. Restores 10 life points.
The second weapon used my Hexen's mage character. Frost Shards is a spell that conjures a burst of ice fragments that can freeze enemies.
A magic staff is a large, thick stick or stick-shaped object usually with a medallion or amulet connected to the top. It is mostly used for its magical capabilities, but can also be wielded as a light melee weapon.
Item pickup in the Heretic/Hexen series. Restores 100 life points.
A health pickup found in the Heretic/Hexen game series. Restores 25 life points.
An edge tool used for cutting grass or crops.
The starting weapon for Hexen's fighter character. The Gauntlets can deal heavy melee damage, but are useless against far targets.
A length of exceptionally sharp metal with a handle, used for centuries as the go-to killing device for the human race. It's dead simple: you stick the pointy end in the thing you want to die. Or you could always slash them with the equally sharp sides. That works too.
Item pickup originally in the Heretic/Hexen series. The Tome made a return in the 2009 Raven release, Wolfenstein.
