    High Definition Graphics

    Concept »

A console game is high definition if it operates at a resolution of at least 720p, or 1280x720. A console able to achieve this resolution is HD-capable. For a variety of reasons, the term does not apply to PC games.

If it gets to the point where character skins are made up of billions of individual skin cells instead of polygons, that would be pretty amazing!  So I'm predicting this by, I don't know, the 207th generation of video game consoles.  So that would be the PlayStation 207 and the Xbox 74,520 (360 x 207).

Nintendo's console would be represented visually by a symbol, and verbally referred to as "the console formerly known as Nintendo."  It would still be running in 480p.
