    Hiromichi Tanaka is a game producer who has worked on many games in the Squaresoft, later Square Enix, catalog. This includes being the original producer of Final Fantasy games III, XI, and XIV, as well as games such as Secret of Mana & Seiken Densetsu 3, Xenogears, and Chrono Cross.

    In his Squaresoft days, he also played other roles in the company, as programmer of The Death Trap, writer & designer of Alpha, and a game designer for games such as Final Fantasy II & III, SaGa 2, Secret of Mana & Seiken Densetsu 3, Xenogears, and Chrono Cross.

    Due to failing health, he has since retired from his duties at Square Enix, since July 31, 2012, and has stated that he would like to try making Independent games.
