Hironobu Sakaguchi

Hironobu Sakaguchi is a person that is credited in 43 games

Creator of Final Fantasy and affectionately known as "the Gooch."

Hironobu Sakaguchi was working in Squaresoft who was slowly going bankrupt near the end of the 1980s. After tallying everything up they decided that they had only enough money for one more game. Sakaguchi was told that he had to make said game and replied with "I don't think I have what it takes to make an action game. I think I'm better at telling a story." From that, Final Fantasy was made. Sakaguchi gave the game the name 'Final' (despite there eventually being dozens of Final Fantasy games) because he thought that it would be the final game he would make.

Since then Hironobu Sakaguchi has worked on countless other Final Fantasies and founded Mistwalker studios to create JRPGs exclusively to the Xbox360.
