Sort of great news for those who loved the idea of a Hitman movie, but weren't exactly thrilled with the Hitman movie that actually came out. According to Deadline, Fox is prepping an all new Hitman film, currently titled Agent 47, and already has a new actor attached to play the role of the titular bald-headed, bar-coded superhuman killer.

That actor? Paul Walker.

Yes, the monotone handsome boy of the Fast & Furious film series is reportedly attached to take over for Timothy Olyphant, whose own spin on the monotone killer didn't necessarily leave many fans satisfied. Well, to be fair, a lot about the original Hitman movie left people deeply unsatisfied for a variety of reasons, but Olyphant's ill-fitting casting didn't do anyone favors.

Still, that movie made in the neighborhood of $100 million in worldwide ticket sales, so it's no surprise Fox would be interested in rebooting the franchise. This time, they'll do it with a script from A Good Day to Die Hard scribes Skip Woods and Michael Finch, and the direction of first-timer Aleksander Bach, a "highly-regarded commercials director."

Timothy Olyphant and Paul Walker looks strangely similar, now that I look at them.

Didn't they base the character appearance off the voice actor, who is also a regular actor? Why didn't they just get HIM?

I liked the movie and am looking forward to more. It was a fun action movie and taken as just that it didn't disappoint. I just hope the new one focuses more on the stealth kill stuff then a traditional action movie stuff. If you did half the stuff they do in the movie in the game you would be dead. Hitman is all about sneaking in and out of places without being seen and killing the target. Not running into a room blowing everything up and walking out. Having that once to contrast the rest is fine, but the whole movie shouldn't be that.

I love the ending of that TANG. Forgot they always did a little editing to make a funny scene. I miss that stuff.

As a huge fan of the game series I remember hating the Hitman movie when it came out. I've learned since then to let go and enjoy thing's for what they are. I just recently watched the second and third RE movies and can enjoy them as big dumb fun action flicks. It's also funny that the games have turned into the movies.

Why the fuck they continue not casting Jason Statham in this role is beyond me...

Not sure about this, but then i think im in the minority who actually didn't mind the first movie.

wow, and I thought Timothy Oliphant was a poorman jack nicolson but now this is a NEW LOW

I really can't see him as 47. At least the character doesn't really require much in the way of acting, so he can't do that bad of a job. That said, I rather like the Hitman movie and Timothy Olyphant as 47. I remember digging that 4-way fight on the train.

The Fast series has earned Paul Walker a few free rides. I'm willing to see how he is in this.

Timothy Olyphant was a great Agent 47 and Hitman was a pretty okay movie. I can't imagine Paul Walker making a good Agent 47, but he seems like a pretty likable guy, so I'll give it a shot. They should just give Olyphant twice as much money and make another Hitman with him.
