Hostage: Rescue Mission was a multi-platform precursor to the Rainbow Six franchise, tasking the player with securing an embassy captured by terrorists, killing them while rescuing any hostages. While rudimentary, the game featured a very basic cover system and first-person shooter elements, all on the NES.
