They became well-known through their work on the game Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, released in 2008, which was followed by On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode Two. Episode Three was scheduled for release in 2008, but Penny Arcade has since then confirmed that Episode Three is cancelled due to Hothead focusing on their own new IPs currently in development. Hothead Games is also currently working on two other games: DeathSpank and Swarm.
