A Human Shield is a form of cover in which a player uses a body to absorb damage like that of a shield. It's usually found in first and third-person shooters.

Agent 47

Agent 47 is the main protagonist in the Hitman video game series and the 2007 film Hitman. His name is derived from the last two digits off the barcode tattooed on the back of his head (640509-040147) And the fact he has 47 chromosomes
Carlos

Carlos is the Saint that helps break you out of prison in the beginning of Saints Row 2. His brother joined the Saints back when your character did in the first Saints Row.
Dizzy Wallin

Dizzy is a supporting character in Gears of War 2, and can be unlocked as a multiplayer character. Dizzy was a member of the Stranded until he signed up with the COG army through Operation Lifeboat in exchange for food and protection for his family.
Greed

Greed was created by Dante when she failed to revive her deceased lover. Because he has his Skull, Greed is weak and is eventually killed by Edward Elric.
John Hodge

John Hodge was the "rookie" Splinter Cell Sam was required to team up with in the first mission of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. He is killed due to his own ignorance and is a catalyst for Sam's downfall in Double Agent.
Johnny Gat

A character in the Saints Row series, violence advocate Johnny Gat is the second-in-command of the 3rd Street Saints, and has wracked up 387 counts of murder in the first degree (that The Man knows about) in defense of his gang.
Marcus Fenix

Marcus Fenix is the lead protagonist of the Gears of War series. A war hero who turned into a prison inmate for a rash decision, he is now humanity's last hope against the Locust Horde and the leader of Delta Squad.
Pierce

Pierce is a returning gang lieutenant from Saints Row 2, with a revised look in Saints Row 3.
Sam Fisher

Known as the "ultimate predator," Sam Fisher is the protagonist of the Splinter Cell franchise.
Shaundi

Shaundi is one of the lieutenants in the Third Street Saints. Unfortunately, the only thing about her that isn't drastically changed from Saints Row 2 to Saints Row: The Third is her name.
Solid Snake

You can use human shields in Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Tai Kaliso

Tai Kaliso is one of the characters introduced in Gears Of War 2. He is a spiritual and meditative warrior from a tradition of honor-bound fighters.
The Boss

The main character of the Saints Row series and, as of Saints Row 2, the leader of the 3rd Street Saints.
Troy Bradshaw
