Overview


The Hume Black Mage can be found in both Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and in Final Fantasy Tactics A2.

Black Mages are slightly better in Final Fantasy Tactics A2 than they were in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, as there are more enemies that are weak to the elements. However, Hume Black Mages can't hold a candle to Nu Mou ones, as Nu Mou can pull from a much wider variety of Magicks with their other Jobs and they also have better Magick and MP growth.

Fire


AP Needed to Learn Ability: 100
Learned from Equipment: Rod
Effect: Hurl a ball of magick fire, dealing fire damage to the target.

Fira


AP Needed to Learn Ability: 250
Learned from Equipment: Firewheel Rod
Effect: An improved version of Fire. Deals even greater fire damage to its target.

Firaga


AP Needed to Learn Ability: 350
Learned from Equipment: Flame Rod
Effect: The greatest Fire magick. Consumes its target in hellfire, dealing massive fire damage.

Thunder


AP Needed to Learn Ability: 100
Learned from Equipment: Rod
Effect: Call down a bolt of lightning, dealing lightning damage to the target.

Thundara


AP Needed to Learn Ability: 250
Learned from Equipment: Thunder Rod
Effect: An improved version of Thunder. Deals even greater lightning damage to its target.

Thundaga


AP Needed to Learn Ability: 350
Learned from Equipment: Thor Rod
Effect: The greatest Thunder magick. Blasts its target with countless bolts, dealing massive lightning damage.

Blizzard

Effect: Pierce target with a shard of ice, dealing ice damage.

Blizzara

Learned from Equipment: Sleet Rod
Effect: An improved version of Blizzard. Deals even greater ice damage to its target.

Blizzaga


AP Needed to Learn Ability: 350
Learned from Equipment: Chill Rod
Effect: The greatest Blizzard magick. Impales target, dealing massive ice damage.

Learned from Equipment: Samite Coat
Effect: Cast magicks targeting the user back at the caster. Magick cast in this way require MP.

Geomancy


AP Needed to Learn Ability: 350
Learned from Equipment: Sage's Robe
Effect: Lowers resistance to user's elemental attacks.
(Absorb -> Immune -> Half -> Normal -> Weak)
