You have been a big part of what makes this site so special, it's sad to see you go. Best of luck with everything, Dave.

Some stuff about parenthood and websites... and puppies!
I wish you the very best Dave. All of us in the community are sad to see you go!
I'm genuinely sad about this, holy shit I can't believe this is hitting me so hard :( They need to do a tribute show or something for your departure. I can't waif for your cameo appearances though!
" As for me. While I officially don't work here anymore I've decided to take a page from Gary Whitta's playbook and show up anyway." <-- This part. Yes! Made me so happy.
I'm a little slow to the internet these days. You guys sure like surprises.
Always enjoyed your content/viewpoints. There are lots, I can't think of them. Maybe the Dragon Age 1 thing? I can't remember.
I know it's a lot more complicated, may not be legal, and I'm not making a lot of sense but maybe in a few months a kickstarter by Giant Bomb to hire you as a hired gun. Wow, that sounds even more stupid now that I've typed it but unfortunately I'm not going to delete that.
It'll be nice for your little one for you being around. Do that for a little bit and then we'll see you back doing stuff again. Somewhere. Who knows.
The other thought I had was to tell Rorie a few weeks back to go back to Screened, take the paycheck, and just write whatever they want him to write. I'm not deleting this either. :)
Hope nothing but the best for you Dave. You are a joy.
Just saw Rorie on the mailbag, was confused, and then backtracked to this....
And wow, I'm shocked. In my mind you are just as critical to GiantBomb being GiantBomb as Jeff and Ryan are. No more Dave fortress... Flight club will never be the same.... No more hearing your epic tales of EVE Online. You will be greatly missed, Dave. We can only hope you have a change of heart and return in a few years. Good luck in whatever you choose to do next, sir. You've earned it .
I'm really sad to see you go, Dave. You're such an integral part of what makes this site so damn amazing. Thanks for everything! Congrats on your child, and good luck with your future. Please continue to show up for Flight Club, though. Flight Club cannot and does not exist with only two members.
Really sad to you go, Dave. I was hoping for more Random PC Game videos, Flight Clubs, and Dave Radios. On the other hand I'm happy Rorie is joining GB. I wish he could have joined a year ago when GB and CV joined CBSI.
All the best in the future, Dave! Thanks for all that you've done to help make this the best goddamn website on the interwebs.
You're awesome man and your work is continuously great! Good luck to you and hope to see you back on an RPG soon!
You'll be missed if you don't check in often enough, so, check in however much is required to qualify as 'often enough.'
Only a complete badass could completely kill themselves helping rebuild a website, make a kid, and then disappear silently into the night. Dave you were more than a pillar of the site, you were a goddamn inspiration to us all. I have honestly never seen anyone in real life or on the internet with your kind of dedication. No one but Rorrie could be a worthy successor to your reign. Good luck man.
Terrible news Dave, even though I'm very happy Rorie is back. Sucks to lose you and the site won't be the same with less of you. Good luck with the rest of your life.
It's still a small site and it's better to have well-rounded people that can be on camera, chat up users at PAX and chip in with the occasional review.
What is this nonsense, Dave? You're the most well-rounded person on GB! ;_;
Dave - best of luck. You're an awesome person and you're going to be a great father. Thanks for all of your hard work and entertaining personality.
I hope Dave reads all of this e-love and knows we will actually miss him! Hope he gets to spend all of the time he has with his new family and pursuing dumb hobbies. I hope the Dadcast will continue in some fashion, and hope your radioshow/ flight club videos will pop up every once and a while here on Giantbomb.
This is where we find out Dave and Luchadeer were the same person, isn't it?
What a fucking sad day. There will never be a Dave/Vinny duo. There will never be Random PC game. What a damn bummer. I'm gonna miss you Dave!
So long, Dave and good luck. Please come back soon to be in stupid videos. Everyone needs more Hardcore Dave in their lives. In the meantime, I will continue to wear my flight club t-shirt in your honor.
Dave you will be missed, but good luck with fatherhood and congratulations.
And yes please, come back every once in awhile, you always seemed to have a great sense of humor that always played well on video and audio.
Having Rorie back really does make this bittersweet, but I think everybody will go right back to loving him on the site.
