Overview
The revolutionizing id Tech 1 engine, or "Doom Engine" as it was referred as for a long time, was a great step forward in computer graphics when it was first released back in 1993. It was created by John Carmack (Person). The source code Doom in it's Linux form was released for non-commercial use in 1997. This concept contains games that use the id Tech 1 engine; either the original or a slightly modified version.
