Ignition Entertainment originally focused mostly on portable games, but has since started to turn their focus onto consoles, with releases like Deadly Premonition and Blacklight: Tango Down. Ignition also publishes SNK's lineup in the West, and grew in popularity after its acquisition by UTV Software Communications, a media and entertainment conglomerate based in India. Now known as UTV Ignition Entertainment, they have also started two new development studios, Ignition Tokyo and Ignition Florida, both working on proprietary IP.
