    Ikki Tousen (Strength of a Thousand) is a long running manga series created by Yuji Shiozaki in 2000, with the premise of the heroes of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms being reborn into modern era Japan, mostly as girls in skimpy outfits, who find themselves reliving the same old battles in the context of high school gang conflicts.

    It has been adapted into 4 anime series - Ikki Tousen (2003), Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny (2007), Ikki Tousen: Great Guardians (2008), Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor (2010), in addition to a single episode OVA in 2011.

    Marvelous Interactive published three games based on the franchise, a 3D brawler for the PS2, and two side-scrolling ones for the PSP.
