It's about damn time!

I've always said my first Platinum would come from either God of War III or Just Cause 2. So obviously I got the Trophy from... inFamous?

I already played, enjoyed and finished the game a year ago. Sold it after that, because I didn't feel like going for a second playthrough. But I got the game again for free via the Welcome Back package and started to play it again. It was still as fun as it was a year ago. So before I knew it, this little thing popped up:

Feels good man. I like Achievements more than Trophies, but the concept of a Platinum Trophy is genius. A great finishing touch. On the 360 you 'just' get your final achievement and nothing else happens. Here you get a shiny Plat. Makes it feel more special.

congrats. infamous was my first platinum, too, roughly 2 years ago.

what's the difference between achievements and trophies?  
 
I thought they were the same thing (just for the xbox or ps3).

I remember my first Platinum was Borderlands. Then DLC came and, though I still have the Platinum, the 100% eluded me soon after.

inFamous was the first Platinum I got too. Though it's so easy it barley counts! The second game's even easier to get it on as well.

Really loved every minute of it though, and I do agree with your thoughts about Platinum trophies. It's something I expect to see Microsoft borrow when we eventually see new systems roll out. I'm not really a big fan of trophies/achievements but I am interested to see how these systems will evolve.

Congrats. I remember my first platinum was Dead Space. Hard game in some spots but I stuck through it.
